Picked up a 2018 model year P340 V6 manual in Caldera Red 3 months ago. It's an amazing car, a hybrid between sports and muscle car with the best sound money can get. Jaguar only made 200 manuals during the years it was in production between 2015 and 2019. Mine has just turned 27K miles it's a keeper.
What? A Jaguar F-type review where the driver actually drives the car with a bit of spirit? I love it. WTG Pistonheads. I need to find a way to get myself one of these.
Black pack and also the extended sports package for the exterior are absolute musts on this car as well as the pano roof. I just collected mine in glacier white and those 3 packs alone make the car stand out! I didn't even go for black wheels, and it turns heads everywhere I go!
@@JWL-UK Sadly i don't. Biggest regret selling that car. I now have a Chequered Flag V6 in pretty much the same spec, but with diamond cut wheels and a custom exhaust as the latest exhausts on them are not the same
@@BenM14-ZW11 thanks for replying. I currently drive daily a TT mk2 bought 3 years ago and really like it. It was one of my dreams as a teenager. Been looking at the F-type and it is the only package that makes me consider replacing the TT. How reliable was it and how comfortable would you say it is? I'm 6ft2 and have plenty of spare on the TT. The Jag looks a bit more cramped on videos.
@@JWL-UK I never had an issue with reliability. It is a snug cabin. My advise would be to test drive one and see if the seat goes back far enough for you. You have to remember it isnt a Audi, so doesnt come with all the German "tech," but my god does it get looks. An F Type is understated yet brash when you want it to be
My wife and I followed a red V6S for about 40 miles down the A96. The Jag' has a very pretty behind and a great sound with no discernible S/charger whine. My wife was, as ever, driving briskly in an RS6 performance. The Audi was like a red -rag to the red Jag' ... so game on. The guy rinsed his Jag' .. maximum attack, sounded fab'. Thing was, my wife wasn't racing, merely driving briskly. She could have overtaken the jag' at any point but given the speeds involved we thought of the Jag as an early warning unit for mobile speed cameras. When the Jag turned away the driver gave us a big wave and flashed his hazards. He was delighted and had a great story for his mates in the pub and we didn't have a speeding ticket. Win - Win.
Wrap the chrome it's professional in terms of finish and you can either leave or reverse back to what it is 100% prior to returning it to,jaguar. This mode is common and relatively cheap.
I hope someday i can afford a car with over 400hp but i love this car. I love the look and i love it whether it's the hard top or the convertible, i just love this car and the way it sounds too as i'm typing this. I guess 380 Supercharged HP is still going to be pretty quick.
Interesting review. Yeah the black pack is the first thing I would've picked lol. The only F-Type specs chrome looks good on... well tbh none of them. Otherwise great spec.
I run an XK Now my next wll be Ftype in 2 years when will pick one up for around 30k I would never pay 72k throwing money away when you buy new but a super car
I could afford one But I would rather wait 3 years ad buy one for half price I always buy from a Jag Main dealer with a two year warranty this angel has never failed I buy my car for cash run it for 3 years and I will lose half the value I will lose 15k over 3 years a new car about 33k or more ? over 3 years Any one buying a new car is a mug just throwing money away
used.jaguar.co.uk/search#/details/2755757 this is the type of car would but 37k half the price of a new car put a private plate on and the average person could not tell the difference

What does the extended sports package give you?

British racing green, with black rims - conservative but timeless.
Old-man green? Yuck.
Would spec the sunroof over the carbon fibre roof.
William K no panoramic roof is the way to go. That’s how the C-x16 was.
@@vika0194 Agree. I have one with panaramic roof and I cant say it would be the same experience without.
@@t0pcl0serwait what's the difference between the sun roof and the pano?

Aston Martin V8 Vantage line are also analog cars you can still buy new. Slightly used, you could find one in this price range.
I absolutely love that the man himself suggested running black insulation tape along the window surrounds 🤣

John Vu all you're for 60k
@PistonHeads Plastidip the chrome. Easily reversible.
I have a manual V6.. 2017. I think I drive her a little more grungy and sportier than he is in this video. Rev matching is the only way to go!
Do you still have it? How did it go for you?
Interesting. I sold and manual M3 after two months because I couldn't get on with the gearbox. Bought a DCT which was much nicer.
It sounds so good!
Chrome spec is Ok as long as you don’t choose black wheels

£1785 extra for the wheels, what happens to the standard wheels it left the factory with?
F type and F type s sound any differently?
F-Type S comes with the "Active Exhaust" option. With the base model, it doesn't come standard but you can add it.
That steering wheel looks comically huge.
more exterior shots of the car maybe
Evora 400 can be had for similar money.
d9e9v9il blc bro
Lotus or Jag. What would you really have?
It depends what you'd want to use it for.
I'd possibly go for the Lotus on the grounds of rarity.
A lotus has nothing except wheels and an engine
Does it come with an auto rev match for down changes?
Why would you want that? Then you have no reason to drive manual and no incentive to drive it right.
mac daddy you are right, I am going for the autobox.
what is "whisperit" brown?
Don’t let him ever review a car again
You properly wrecked that spec. Jesus christ

this jag v6 s or the new audi tt rs ? whots less money at 51k and more power! better looking inside also!
But it's a Jeaaaaaaaag!
jonny jones hairdressers car that Audi TT 😂
Love this car but it's too expensive.
Sounds similar to my Nissan 350z, like that
Great!!!
manual, yes!!!
Can barely watch this as he glances at the camera about 50 times a second. Either look at the camera or dont, stop twitching!!
Max L he can't look at the camera non stop he's driving so he needs to keep his eyes on the road as well
Max L what nonsense, you must be a bored individual to make such a crass comment
Chrome?! Didn't realizee this was amateur hour!!! jk jk
I was watching your channel very bad go to a automatically gear
SO FUCKED UP SPEC...lol
poor taste..
Caymen GTS with pdk will spank this F type.
Yeah, 6-cylinder cars are so 1900s.
Well you are driving on a road , not a race track , so we all know you are limited , so don't dis the car
