Always loved this song and never imagined any cover could top it. But you did. His piano version and your guitar version are now 1A and 1B in my book . It's a tie. You are a wonderful player and singer. Don't ever stop doing what you do young lady . You were smart enough to be faithful to the original but do it in your own unique way. Magic .
I've always liked this song. I loved Dylan's voice at that time. I remember Melanie, another favorite of mine, doing a version of this around 1970. This is also a great cover. Nicely done.
I can remember the first time I heard "Bran New Key" by Melanie. Happy memory. :) stay safe.

New Morning is Bob's most underrated album, I think. Your covers are helping me get through the week.

She is doing a straight-up cover of Dylan’s album version of the song..... maybe just a little better than Bob could have done it. Certainly she put more focus and energy into it. She has a lovely voice and some real chops on the guitar. I wonder what else she will do, after she has worked her way through the Dylan songbook. Well, I’m interested.

I have been spending the early evening listening to a number of the amazing covers that Sarah J. recorded a few years ago. Hello, Rounder Records? Don't you already have a great album here? I mean, Grammy contender? Good heavens -- every performance is deeply inspired, and letter perfect. What a musician! Hmmm . . . what would happen if Sarah decided to record an album of Dylan covers? Something that just occurred to me: What would she make of "All Along the Watchtower"? Pretty sure that would make your hair stand on end. In fact, I would like to hear her do it solo, with the octave mandolin, or maybe just with the bass, as above. But what a treasure. I sincerely hope that nothing ever happens to muck up her career in any way.

@@d81828384 I'm no expert. The octave mandolin is supposed to be smaller than the mandocello and tuned one octave below the mandolin.

I prefer Dylan’s original, but that was blocked due to copyright problems.
This cover is very good though there’s a slight problem: her voice is sometimes too hard, as in not subtle enough, too ventricular?
Is Sarah a bit dominant in the sense of ego-weak? Anyhow, the bass is too submissive to my ears.
