Iv been doing Ship salvage for a few weeks now and I can feel the diff in the jump from 24.0 to 24.1. Me and a few freidn toke out 2V and 1R with a C2, and made 8M in just a few hrs 3-4ish just farming ERT ship, doing both RCM and CM slavage. Sure 8M is not alot split 5 ways, but it was alot of fun doing it in a crew then solo for 3-4hrs
GrimHex buys RMC at the admin office for 13k. TDD's pay a little more but GH has a much faster turnaround time since half the time GH is a direct jump from the wreck in the asteroids, u land, offload and then take 2 elevators to the admin office. The larger cleanup missions are lucrative. Did a HH with two vultures and we both came away with 36SCU RMC = 468k for an hours work.
MXTCH - my favourite ship is either the C2 or the MSR! Im a big crusader fan boy. I really wish they hadn’t nerfed risky salvage, i really liked the idea of going out to scrape a ship and striking gold when theres a ton of valuables on the ship!
I’ve never taken a salvage contract and have always done well being a “Vulture” cleaning up moon facilities (low gravity helps the Tractor lift heavier ships) Especially during Free Fly events. Lately it’s been kinda quiet :/
@@vanityvoodoo969 if shields are off you can tow away with the Argo Tractor (ten second claim time gives it easy access anywhere) , if they leave a door open …. You can turn them off .👀🤷🏻♂️. I thought they where suppose to address this a few patches ago. But no. Still upside down ships all over the place …. (New Babbage especially) just getting wasted as my Vulture starves.
Salvage hasn't been buffed it's been nerfed to sh1t. You can only collect 50% of what we used to get from each ships or panels. And the reason you failed the mission is because you salvaged another connie. The one you were supposed to salvage was about 7km away where the YELLOW marker was.
Thats a fact. I started salvaging after it was nerfed. I usually go for panels and you only get 5.5scu of rmc from the large panels vs the 9 maybe 10scu from them in the past according to old vids ive watched. It still pays good just takes longer.
@@nimblenutz6761 Exactly. I used to pull 11 scu of RMC from the big panels and now it's 5.4 to 5.5 using the Abrade. I did 4 different small wrecks and only pulled 50% of the normal RMC we used to get. It's all about getting you to grind forever in order to be able to afford ships in game which is why they increased ship prices (some by 460% - the A2) and are reducing all the revenues in all the game loops and increasing mission FEES. This way CIG gets more people pledging as this is the only way the player they can ensure the ship will be in his hangar after each patch. You may be lucky for a little while but the next time they do a database reset (money, ships) all you're gonna have is what you pledged for. It may or may not happen for 3.24.2 but watch what happens when 4.0 drops next year (if we're lucky). Welcome to SC where marketing runs CIG.
oh, those used to be great, but I haven't done them since 3.22 or so CryptoJoe here Favorite ship, I have such a hard time with this, the Cutlass Red is my usual go to.
IGN: MajorSaint, My favorite ship is the C1 Spirit for the time being. I like ROC mining and the C1 is great to haul the ROC. Although in 3.24.1 it is a pain to transfer the gems from the ROC. Happy Salvaging.
IGN: Koruzarius Curious about the upcoming ship changes, and how they are planning to balance crewed ships vs. fighters and what not. Will our beloved Taurus still be functional with just one player? I found a few techniques for solo and group. But havent given the vulture any attention because i tech to go after big boy claims at yela. Two man reclaimed mrt mission and its free reclaimed snack bar time. Solo i like to hit the abandoned ships at the local mining outposts which are a crack strip and munch process . As i been banished to 🪐 due to borked hangars. 😅 Def make easy 300k solo cm and if i get lucky at outposts its free cossiars with parts. Def look forward to crafting and cm rmc bing used to nake everything basic and rhe rng comes in with parts with custom components and housings. having horrible luck with panels lately. When I find them, great, but lot of fails along the way. The ships are less money in theory but seem to be better in practice because I don't waste a bunch of time with things that don't spawn in or someone already scraped. That said, definitely have to know what ships are worth it and which aren't. I don't think I've ever lost money on one, but i've had some where it was a real waste of time.
I've been having trouble finding panels too. And if I do either I somehow miss them or they don't spawn. They thing is that they only pop up when you are 100m away
I was 1 mil off from the vulture i was like i do some cargo trading didnt check the cargo elevator and spent half a mil on gold and that was 3 days ago i gave up lol

@@nimblenutz6761 some ships are pretty good when you wanna have a chill session and not scan and look for panel. Thrawler also a very good option and vulture should have both double abrade and double thrawler.

Unfortunately some of us can't call atc at grim....
You can store the ship and sell at the TDD if it's on the ship's cargo grid.
if you put the boxes in hangar storage, can you combine them into larger storage containers for easier transport?
no
Ign is Annorex. I'm flip flopping between the C1 and the Cutter, because 3ach has a character all of their own. Congrats on the 5k yesterday
Is there a reason (e.g. bigger yield and/or faster salvaging) why you're using 1x Cinch and 1x Abrade module rather than 2x Abrade modules?

Unless it got fixed, the tractor beam from the reclaimer and vulture will give you a crime stat if you try to tow a ship.
