3:17 thanks for video, my Reclaimer was tried to pirate 4 times around Yela during illegal salvage mission. 3 times I've escaped, one time - no. Also Reclaimer is not armored and shines on the radar like a Christmas tree. So, run legal salvage mission - is a very good advice. One salvage run is around 10M and it worth to spend 50k for safety
Thank you for the great video! I just had an unexpected encounter with a pirate while soloing my Reclaimer in deep space (stacking boxes). I had set my ship to autocruise, thinking I was in a secluded area, but it turned into an exhilarating chase across the local Crusader system. As a group we used the main cargo room but I don't bother when running solo. I was hoping that storage area below had something to do with hull munching, I thought large pieces of scrap would get stored for us to break by hand.
@@FuriousImp I think the ship was released to early. I have a feeling that the way we use it now was not the original plan so I'm not sure we get to use those drones.
Yeah I've looked at the ship extensively over an hour, inside and out... and I think I know what they were planning. I think the aft keel cargo bay lift was supposed to be the entry point for the drones to put the chunks of salvage in to hold. Hence the name of that deck: salvage hold. Above it, is the salvage processing. If you look closely to the 4 sections on that floor you will notice that these 4 sections can be moved by the hooks. In theory. So here is what I think they had planned for us: 1. Claw rips up the ship 2. Drones take the pieces down to the salvage HOLD 3. The floor lifts take up the pieces up to the salvage PROCESSING deck. 4. The boxes are created and delivered through the elevator to the cargo hold. What I don't quite understand is the placement of those giant shredders (the ones you see through the window when you go down the personal elevator when going to the cockpit). @@EnixSC
@@FuriousImp I think those shredders have everyone baffled. At the moment they are a complete waste of space, unless the drones are to bring scrap to the claw and it then gets processed through the ship. If you do that than why as well stockpile. It's not dangerous for me because alot of my friends play this game and usually 3 of us. Two working the bridge and the 3rd works in the salvage area.
