No, it means SC is an alpha and that things constantly develop with changing priorities... eventually older ships get looked at and fixed, this isn't some conspiracy
much better than shuttling them down the elevator 4 at a time with a bit of jiggling or 3 at a time if the server is not playing nice... that must have taken some time to scrape all that... ..thanks for sharing and showing how it should be done!
Never seen a 16scu box fit through that aft chute before. Usually would just stack ontop of each other below the salvage processing and not fall out of the ship like that.
Great tip! I had no idea that elevator existed, let alone opened to the outside. I ran my Reclaimer once since 3.24 was released, it took so long to unload that I haven't bothered since.
This is great! I had no idea you could just dump the 16s out the back chute - I was worried all the clipping would blow up my Reclaimer, so I was using the much slower method of ferrying them down the cargo elevator in groups of 3. This saved me a ton of time - thanks.
For me the physicalized cargo has ruined the game. I was playing it for years exclusively. But since 3.24 haven’t touched it much. I tried the new system but find it boring and tedious. If CIG does not improve it, I wonder if I will enjoy SC ever again. 😢
Lmao physicalised inventory/cargo was always planned, so it's on YOU for not doing your research. Besides, eventually NPCs will be able to do it for you for a fee, so stop whining
Great advice thanks 👍🏻 Just need to save for the Reclaimer now 😅 Just to clarify, do the box’s just fall out of the ship? Or is there someone helping just below?
Had no idea there was a back end unloading spot, i have just been sticking vehicles , container boxes and spare guns in the salvage hold and putting 8scu and 2scu boxes on the grids letting the ship auto unload while i grabbed another reclaimer. one time i tried 16scu boxes they barely fit through the salavage hold or the elevator and was a huge pain.
Thought of this as well, in a different way. The automatic cargo sell does work but only cargo that is attached to the grids. Cargo salvage grid does not work at all now 🤪Once you have sold the initial crates attached to cargo reclamation grid and cargo grid (size 8 in there) just reattach the other contains around and go back to sell and repeat. Just saves all that moving and stacking. I know you can say you go backwards and forwards but I just prefer it incase you get a glitch. I keep it to just two large ships salvaging per run, until they hopefully fix the grid issue 😅😅😅
I also tried to attach boxes only to the grid. Looted cargo on cargo hold and salvaged cargo in the 4 grids in salvage processing deck... I still had the "cargo removal failed" error.
Thanks for the great tips, but unfortunately I'm unable to sell RMC in Lorville.. Don't know why.. it just doesn't appear in the terminal to be able to sell
if you get in the pilot seat and thrust up and down with spacebar and crtl without lifting off the ground, it will "wiggle" the ship and they will fall out. no need to store.
😅 Seeing your cargo area and all of randomly stacked boxes around, I pretty much understand why the automatic unloading process does not work! No dock worker wants to touch that! 😄
Haha true! But I also tested the automatic unload with all the boxes placed on the grid and it didn't work either... So you have to use this process anyway
Unfortunately before this I tried placing all the cargo in the grid, but i still got the “cargo removal failed” message. So after that I filled the ship with all those boxes 😅
Its hilarious to me that we now have to park ships the wrong way on the platforms. CIG spend all this time making this look nice but absolutely user unfriendly
Thank you, I will keep that in mind for future videos. I can give you the time spent for each operation: 2 minutes -> unload cargo 11 minutes -> unload existing boxes in salvage processing 5 minutes -> unload remaining boxes from filler stations 14 minutes -> place the boxes over the freight elevator
According to what you can read the Reclaimer have a salvage bay big enough to house a conny in it, so that the crew can work in a pressurised environment... good luck cramming that conny in through the back hatch :p
This is proof that CIG love the way things look, not how they function
So many of saying this and even Jarod pointed this out but they still don't want to listen.
To be fair, the Reclaimer is old. Very old. It was designed and released well before the modern metrics for ships was developed.
No, it means SC is an alpha and that things constantly develop with changing priorities... eventually older ships get looked at and fixed, this isn't some conspiracy
I suggest using 8 SCU max, it easier to handle them out the ship. Great video o7

Same, mine always get caught on the small elevator and then become problematic to get out.
Great tip! I had no idea that elevator existed, let alone opened to the outside. I ran my Reclaimer once since 3.24 was released, it took so long to unload that I haven't bothered since.

Remember to repair or at least check if the ship has damage before starting to unload :)

Everything is done in solo. The boxes “glitch” and pass through the elevator

Excellent, thank you.

@fabioponta88 possible I've been lucky so far, shame the grid is quiet nurffed 😎
I wish we could open that back elevator with a button instead of all exterior
Thanks for the great tips, but unfortunately I'm unable to sell RMC in Lorville.. Don't know why.. it just doesn't appear in the terminal to be able to sell
I never knew that the rear elevator was there!

put the back from the Reclaimer over the elevator
tilt the ship forward
self destruct and leave ship
cargo wil drop out of ship when it breaks
That seems a bit extreme XD
@@fabioponta88 maybe but when you put 800-1000 SCU in the room you cant walk there any more
ofc you could try from balcony
I mean respect i am going to have try this now lol
so, the crates are just phasing through the floor? The hole is not big enough for a 16 SCU to fit through...
It isn't, but the crates will go through anyway :)

If that is how you leave your Creates, then no wonder you can't use the Automatic Unload. Put your Creates on the Cargo grid so the system can see it
Unfortunately before this I tried placing all the cargo in the grid, but i still got the “cargo removal failed” message. So after that I filled the ship with all those boxes 😅
They need to remove that clip on the interior elevator.
thx a lot

920 scu of c.m is alot lol not alot of scrapping just munching ?
Scraping is VERY slow in this patch.. I think CM is better than RMC right now. I did a lot of scraping too (79 SCU)
Massive time skip at 5.00 mins lol
Thank you captain obvious! 🫡
it would be nice if you could either show the time skips by speeding up footage or just say "this took me x mins"
Thank you, I will keep that in mind for future videos. I can give you the time spent for each operation:

@@fabioponta88 14 mins to stack them on the lift ? Yeah about right lol
va beh...
So you are saying to use the door on the ship that was designed for that exact purpose? Wow, thanks. 😂
like many ships i think the reclaimer could use some rework🥲
great video, i don't own a reclaimer but it was a fun and informative watch
