Seeing you in short natural twists and in its Afro twa state is so inspiring. I’ve been natural for about 2 years now and I felt really uncomfortable wearing my short natural hair out, always tried covering it with wigs, box braids and headscarves,until I saw this and my fiancé encouraged me. Now all I want to do is wear my hair in natural twists(no added hair). By the way, there is nothing wrong with wearing wigs, box braids and headscarves but it should never be because you’re embarrassed of your natural hair. Check your motives first ❤️

I agree with you, beautiful hair and wonderful story about her journey. I too aspire to have my natural hair below my bum. Lol Some people don't understand and claim that some naturals are obsessed with long hair, but I ask these people, why can't we have that privilege? It's not a crime to want long hair. I had mid back relax hair, and I want my natural hair just as long, because I have that right.
Very inspiring.....I’m trusting the process it’s frustrating sometimes having to deal with set backs but I will reach waist length eventually 🙏🏾🤞🏾

Thanks so much for this, sis! I love hearing other people's hair journey stories. I completely understand your statement about not ever having thought about "natural" hair. I too didn't learn about being "natural" until I was already in my 30's. Somehow, I just never knew that being "natural" was an option for us. It seemed like I only ever saw other ladies with relaxers or wearing weaves. New subscriber!! You have beautiful hair!!

Wow . I went natural the same year as you! Was so frustrated I guess I was styling it too much. Only stopped in covid lockdown and crochet it so finally now got past 11 inches back length! It's sooo slow!
Oh really. I guess everyones journey is different but that doesn't mean you can't get to your desired length. 🤎🤎
Hey love undebum length is called classic length it's also my goal and when I reach it upper thigh length so I'm excited to see it !!!:)

Very inspiring video. Thank you! The best takeaway was to "know your hair" and "do what works". I've been trying so many new products without consciously thinking about what really works for my hair and what my hair needs.The 5 of us in my immediate family have different textures, hair density, and moisture requirements. Now that I am conscious of that for myself (and my daughters and son) I am excited for our healthy hair to appear and flourish. I think they it's easy to forget that our hair needs aren't the same because we are still unique individuals.

Ok so I should be tailbone length in 3 years. Lol. I think that's fair. 6 inches X 3 is 18 more inches to retain. I went to a natural hair salon De'Tresse . So I'm twisted kinky all year in order to retain more. My routine now is simple. Aloe vera juice..I spray a 360 daily. Mane choice vitamins, and I just started back collagen and orange juice. Hair crack is real. It's a hellavu drug 😂😂😂😂 love your hair momma. Thanks for the motivation. #longhairdontcare

I love your videos. They are interesting, informative and easy to follow. I cut off all of my hair in July, 2020. Yes, this year. I am loving the journey so far and I love my natural hair so much.

It will be 3 years since I big chop on feb 11 2018 my hair was only about 2-2.5 inches once I big chopped and I’m currently bra strap length my goal is to grow my hair to knee length that would be amazing

I am so GLAD that you decides to make this choice! You dont know how much you will inspire people who REALLY need to know that the issue with out hair isn't growth. Retention is the issue. Especially if we do all the wrong things to grow our hair... Its even worse. Thanks for all your hard work! We all love and support you 100%

Really enjoy your videos. This video in truly inspiring. My goal is bum length too lol, but I know it'll take some time. I'm currently APL/BSL December 14th will make 5 years of being natural. For 2021 my goal is to reach waist length. Also to have a more cleaner diet eating more vegetables, etc.

I’m trying to wear less wigs and more of my natural hair but I don’t know low manipulation professional styles. Don’t really want to wear twist to work because my hair is not long enough to look nice in twists.

My mom relaxed my hair since primary school. And I've never seen my natural hair before and thought that relaxed hair is my normal hair. Kind of confusing I know. And I also got confused as of why some black people hat like kinky coily curly hair but I didn't.
Bug chopped my hair in 2016 and now I'm 19 and my hair is past my shoulders but still not bra-strap length 🙃... 2:20
I went natural because my classmates and I noticed my hair falling off at the back. I used to shave my neck(yeah I'm hairy) but not my edges and nape tho
Back then, I also always thought that my relaxed hair was my hairs natural state smh😅. Happy for you that you are taking of your hair now. 🤎
