In the third round of the 2018 Shriners Hospital for Children Open, Cameron Champ carded a clean 5-under 66, getting him to 13-under for the tournament and placing him just three strokes behind co-leaders Bryson DeChambeau and Peter Uihlein heading into the final round.
The Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, Las Vegas' only PGA TOUR event, is contested at TPC Summerlin. In 2017, Patrick Cantlay secured his first PGA TOUR win in playoff, beating Alex Cejka and Whee Kim on the second extra hole.

This is the best swing I've seen in years.
Best swing i've ever seen.
Certain players are just athletes. Tiger, dj, brooks. Add this guy to it.
THIS GUY IS SO GOOD
I've never heard of him before seeing this video, but I am impressed by his swing/composure/style!
i never seen such a long hitter with finesse short game skills. No doubt he will dominate PGA soon. Big Ben Hogan!
You clearly missed the Tiger era
Does the name Tiger woods ring a bell?
He's going to be a multi major winner in the near future. I mean his last name is Champ and his game backs that up.
masonotp33
Oof
He is must see TV! I actually changed from the Michigan game to watch him play. Just phenomenal! Wait till he "learns how to play"
He seems to have an ‘all round’ game. Looks like a top 10 player with major pedigree to me... very much part of a new wave of exciting players. It’s good for golf.
insanely talented
Amazing, amazing swing.
Well done, PGA Tour. Very well done! [slow clap]
It's amazing how effortless his swing looks, yet it sounds like a rocket and results in large distances.
Yeah reminds me of tiger woods
@@madhav4358 It actually does. I've been drawing a lot of parallels when watching him in all aspects of his game. It reminds me of young Tiger Woods, like 2000ish, just not as good or consistent.
@@Jman42576 4 starts,2 top10, 1win and he is the contention for title in rsm classic...what more can you expect from a pga tour rookie?
@@madhav4358 Bruh, he's just started, I'm not gonna compare him to Tiger Woods. I said I've drawn a lot of parallels in the way he plays golf though
@@Jman42576 yeah obviously...what tiger did to golf is phenomenal....but we all would love to see him following tiger's footstep...he has the talent he just needs consistency...my fav players are JT,Rory and champ
Approach shots is the best part of golf...My two favorite players are Thomas and Champ.
Gracias
The Champ
Think the cameras put a bit of pressure on him .he will get used to that then he will hole putts more .he will blossom perfect effortless swing.
The champ champ
The face he makes (to me at least) reminds me of Richard from wasabi productions😂😂😂
Wedge,wedge,wedge.....caddie? What you thinking? Wedge
Thx man
Who's like Cameron Champ? Like if you agree
Nobody.
What a nice swing
Matrix glitch at 1.29?
Oh could it be?
This guy drives into the territory of DJ n BW...not long ago, Tigers was the longest in the PGA and now everyone is flying past him. How times have changed
This guy can be 30 past DJ.
Yep, for the worst. The USPGA set courses up with a mind for distance instead of accuracy. These players get found out on proper golf courses in Europe though, hence the most recent Ryder cup.
You're right, but not many people are beating or close to Tiger on irons right now. And that much has stayed consistent throughout his career.
All those mentioned used to swing in the 130s....they still can but they are all older now....technology allows for similar distances with a 120 speed.
130 in the tiger era maybe got you 320.
130 now gets you 345.
pga let the ball and club get away from them. thought the average joe would enjoy more golf with longer straighter shots but only the pros got the advantage. Too bad. Now all these courses are too tough for the average guy and golf losing its appeal.
kept clicking on 2:33 for about 2 min. only stopped cause my finger started getting RSI.
He disappointed everyone after this. I thought he was going to go on a winning spree.
Also if he can start getting his putting together he will be great. Not a great putter yet.
definitely not a bad putter tho
@@rileygarrett7371 Absolutely not. Just not quite at the level to close out every time. If he could ever get to one of the best putters on tour consistently he'd win all the time. I think he can do it
@@aleksilepisto7282 if he was a bad putter would he be on tour sir. chances are you've only watched his last couple tournaments showing your ignorance on the subject. he literally won his last tourney not only because of his exceptional drives, but also because his putting just clicked.
@@rileygarrett7371 I said consistently. I also didn't say he was a bad putter. I said he's not a great putter yet.
@@rileygarrett7371 you said it yourself. "Last few tournaments." A great putter, as in a tour level great putter is someone you would not have to make that excuse for.
That's the point. He's not consistently great yet. As he works to improve he can be.
Fast hips does nothing. The LPGA on average has faster hips than the PGA tour. It's all arm speed. C'mon, it's 2018...can't we put that to rest? Rory's hips actually slow and STOP because they're too soon and fast. Fast hips were a problem for Tiger too.
Let's move on.
quit regurgitating the same bs you saw on a youtube video. you have no idea what you're talking about.
@@AKrider29 Actually you can look up all the Trackman stats yourself. It's all documented.
If anyone is regurgitating it's all the fast hips people who have preached it one way for decades and have been proven wrong over and over.
@@AKrider29 you can actually watch all the videos of Tiger and Rory talking about slowing theirs down to improve.
Look at Michelle, she's completely quieted down her lower body for this too.
Have you ever played golf before? Lol.
@@AKrider29 just watch anyone hit anything from their knees. Use your brain next time.
@@aleksilepisto7282 Are you seriously implying that the swing is all arms? the talk about slowing the hips is simply a timing issue. they generate all their power from the lower body. look at any sport, and show me one where the lower body isn't responsible for the power generated. Stop acting like you know anything. "...look up trackman stats..." lolol
This guy is dairy
For all his power, he'd have got destroyed at the Ryder cup by someone who is way shorter. Poulter for example would chew him up and sput him out like he did to DJ.
Purely speculative.
Apart from being a bomber off the tee the rest of his game is average. He’s like the guy with just a huge serve in tennis.
He has plenty of time to hone his game. That advantage he has is unlike anything we've ever seen. This kid is 30 yards longer than the longest hitter on tour last year (McIlroy) And he has a victory already...
His scrambling this week is like 10/14 or something. He’s top 20 in SG Putting. Nobody makes it to tour without having an incredible short game. Don’t discount the rest of his game.
Sounds like Pete Sampras to me. Look what Pete was able to do with a huge serve. ;-)
Can you do better?
How is the rest of his game average? First year on tour and he’s won already
Really great player but is very boring to watch.
Exactly....
SIENK what hahahahahah
Do you play golf?
