    In the second round of The RSM Classic 2018, Cameron Champ birdied his last four holes on his way to carding a 7-under 63, getting him to 11-under for the tournament and tied for second with Jason Gore at just three back of leader Charles Howell III heading into the weekend.
    The RSM Classic is contested on the Seaside Course at Sea Island Resort in Georgia. In 2017, Austin Cook held off veterans Brian Gay, Chris Kirk, Kevin Kisner and Brian Harman and closed with a 3-under 67 for a four-stroke victory over J.J. Spaun.

    This kid is the truth. My goodness. Every time I see him I’m more impressed. Most impressed I’ve been of a young player since Tiger

      Riley Pupkin nope. Not forgetting him. Jordan was special obviously. Resume speaks for itself. What I see in Cameron is the raw physical tools which you never saw with Jordan. Jordan had the tenacity and mental game but not just pure talent. This kid has the raw physical talent that I haven’t seen from a player this early in his career other than Tiger

    I see a major CHAMP in 2019!
    Announcers mention he plays conservative with a driving three iron off tee yet he hits that 280+ carry with roll out to nearly 295yrds!! Hits 8 iron 185 and throws darts! On top of it all, he can roll the ball!

      Hallelujah that’s an easy knock down for champ, I’m sure he was on a par 5 in a different tournament around 210 or 220 and he hit 8 iron, in warm weather

    The US Open has his name all over it. 280 yard 3 irons shaped down the middle and then 220 yard 7 irons into tucked pins on 500 yard Par 4s. If the kid can chip from thick rough he will lap the field Tiger Style. The fact that he has a nice 3/4qtr controlled flighted iron game already is going to send 1/2 the tour into earlier retirement by the end of the season. The sound of his 'controlled' iron shots is amazing

  • @j.t.kelleheriv4214

      @maninblack9850 5 лет назад +1

      Umm....a threat to Tigers records? A player like Tiger comes along once every 40-50 years. The kid is seriously talented but we haven't even seen him in a major yet. But he should have a nice career ahead of him if he stays on trajectory

    His swing reminds me of Tigers 94-97 swing!

    • @bradleycoopersmith5699
      @bradleycoopersmith5699 5 лет назад +1

      not even close. Champ creates a tremendous amount of lag, and appears much smoother and more effortless. Tiger created speed through sheer aggression and force. he never had as much beauty or flow to his swing, even in the late 90's as this kid does.

    • @maxcaysey2844
      @maxcaysey2844 5 лет назад

      @@bradleycoopersmith5699 Just look at the swing ok. What your saying about Champs swing was part of Woods' back then in the 90s! He became more and more jumpy, sure, but back in the 90s he has the same smoother accelerating swing... he could also reach the same swing speeds back then.

    • @bradleycoopersmith5699
      @bradleycoopersmith5699 5 лет назад +1

      @@maxcaysey2844 I took another look, and it's not even close. I would agree that Tiger's swing in the early 90's was smoother and more upright, and powerful, but it has NONE of the grace and fluidity of CC. Also, Champ clears his left side far faster and allows the club to lag FAR more than TW ever could or did. it's about appearance...CC creates power and distance without SEEMING to do so, (I'd say his ball and swing speeds far exceed Tiger), while TW of say 1997, went after it much harder and more violently.
