Disabling link previews in WhatsApp means turning off the feature that automatically generates a preview of any link shared in a chat.
Normally, when you or someone else shares a link in a conversation, WhatsApp will display a small preview showing details like the webpage title, a short description, and sometimes an image.
Disabling this feature stops WhatsApp from showing this preview, only displaying the link itself.
Link previews often pull in images and text from websites, which might inadvertently expose information from the link. Disabling previews can help keep conversations more private.
If you’re sharing content like articles or videos and don’t want to spoil the content with the preview, disabling link previews can help.

To disable link previews in WhatsApp,
1. Open the WhatsApp application on your mobile device.
2. Open an individual or group chat.
3. When you paste a link, WhatsApp will automatically generate a preview like this.
4. Once you send it, the preview will appear in the chat conversation.
5. To disable previews for websites, and RUclips video links in your WhatsApp chats, go back to your chat list.
6. Tap on the three-dot menu at the top of the screen.
7. From here, tap on Settings.
8. Find and tap on Privacy.
9. Scroll down to the bottom and tap on Advanced.
10. Tap and enable the toggle switch next to Disable Link Previews.
Once you've disabled link previews, you will no longer see a preview of the linked content when you or someone else sends a link in a chat.
