Really helpful to get a refresher on what is available in MS365 without having access to it. Found this really useful to kick the old noodle into gear about what you can do in the different admin centres
Thanks so much Andy! I really wish I met you years back on RUclips, it would have made a lot of difference in my journey as a MS Cloud admin. Kindly make more videos on MS 365 from this beginners' stage to advance, if that works for you
Once again, thank you for sharing your immense knowledge with us!
The best video on the internet that explains MS-365
Glad I came across your channel. You made it sound very simple. Thank you!
My pleasure thanks
You are a Life Saver!!! True professional. Thank you.
As a recent absolute beginner, finding my way around the portals wasn't too much of an issue. However, trying to decipher which licenses were required so that I could predict costs and work up a budget was far more frustrating. It's all very easy when you already have lots of licenses available.
Hi Andy I completely agree. Licensing can be a nightmare. One great website is M365maps.com check it out.
wow, and I thought M365 was only Office apps and teams...thanks for this valuable lesson, surely I will keep carry on learning from you! Thanks for sharing this and taking the time to produce this content!
Amazing content!!! So useful. Thank you for your great work Andy!
Splendid presentation,Andy.
I started my Cloud engineering career and trying to improve myself on Microsoft systems and I can sincerely say that it's been such a great video to learn the concept of the 365 admin portal. Also very beneficial to learn the concept of the tools as well. Congrats. I'm looking forward to watch the next videos.
Awesome thanks so much😊
Absolutely amazing, so much to absorb. Andy you are total Microsoft Rock Star!!
Thanks very much Gary👍😊
This. Was. AWESOME!!!!!
Thank you so much for this, Mr. Malone! ❣
You’re very welcome thanks so much
Thanks a lot for this wonderful presentation! It helped me a lot! Great job, you’re the best..😊
Loved the description of 3 distinct eras; from IT's "industrial revolution", to mobile, and now cloud. Next steps is also coming. I see something along this; devices will not disappear, but they will morph into more embedded forms. Also fixed ambient IT will be more prevalent, in buildings etc. The fourth era will definitely be interesting to see.
Absolutely, and it’s very exciting. Thanks for that, I really appreciate it, Andy
Thank you for your excellent presentation. This was very helpful.
Thank you friend! You are so good in explain complex things in a easy way

Very educative video. Thanks Andrew
OMG! This is the best study Material ever! Thank you so much! Bless you sir!
You're very welcome!
Great content as always, thank you.
I'd love to see your thoughts on best practices and considerations around securing M365, ie: an Ultimate Guid to Securing an M365 Environment.
For me, the out of the box M365 sharing/collaboration settings are too relaxed and many new customers don't realise what standard users can do by default (ie: create Teams, Sharepoint sites, invite guests, share data externally, etc etc) until its too late. They then have the headache of undoing all this and adjusting global settings in a live environment.
Great suggestion I'll see what I can do :-)
Splendid video! Thanks!
Very informative - thanks Andy !
You’re very welcome thank you
Excellent video. Thank you very much.

As always great job! Perhaps touching Azure Enterprise/Registred apps, applying SSO etc. an idea for future content? I am aware this is more Azure.
Hi Patrick. Yes that would be for Azure. Let's see how this one does first :-)
Ok thanks you so much
oh thank you for this video it opened my old eyes to o365 and why its so big...so many things klicking in place...you break it down in a human way you can absorb.

Thanks
Thanks a lot.

Great!
Thanks so much for your content. useful as always.
I got a question, is there any way to add a cloud-only(AAD) user to an Active Directory distribution list or group?
Just add the users email address to the distribution list.
@@AndyMaloneMVP Thanks for paying attention to your community, maybe I explained myself not that clear... I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I cannot add an Azure Active Directory (Clound only) user as a member of a distribution list on premises(AD), I'm using Azure AD sync.
Once again, thanks for the useful content you share with us.
@@Lucareztiger Hmmm okay.. Firstly you won't be able to add them in directly into Exchange as they are external to your organisation. I would export a list of users in Azure to a CSV file. Then you could import them as contacts into Exchange on-prem. Other things to check inc transport rules and filters to ensure nothing is blocked. As I said the best place to post questions like this is the Microsoft tech Community as they will have MVPs who specialise in this area. I wish you good lucj :-) Andy
Thanks for your most important contents. I just wanted to ask that, do you have any video related to MD 101 & 102?
Absolutely, if you look in my in tune playlist, you’ll see them there
Thank you Sir
You’re very welcome 😊
Thankyou!!!
You're welcome!
Hello great video. I have 2 questions. I took over a small office running office 365. They currently get their drive mappings on their desktops manually connected. Is their a group police I can create too make mapping easier and contingent on the group(s) they belong too? The second is re-enabling the usb drive on certain devices? Thank you in advance
Sure there must be. I would post this question on the Microsoft tech community. I think you’d get a quicker response. The best of luck.
Great work sir. Do u provide training sessions sir
Thanks
Yes I do provide onsite training.
Thanks
I am new to Microsoft 365 Business Standard. Do I need a 3rd party backup such as Carbonite Cloud or not? Do you have a video about this?
Yes, I have done a video on Microsoft 365 back up. However, it’s only currently available on a trial basis and it’s costs pretty much double the price of other vendors. So my advice at this stage is to 3rd parties for example Veam software.
Hi, great videos on apps I didn't know existed. I just bought a new laptop and migrating everything over. I have been paying for a family 365 account for years and only using it for my outlook, so wasted a lot of money. Im trying to search and figure out what plan I should be on and expected a simple side by side comparison chart on the Microsoft site but could not find anything, then I called and wasted an hour, eventually the representative found a page that was not easily forwarded and is going to try and write out long hand the difference between the family account and the business account. She said she can only help with the business account, the family is a different department. Why so hard?
So my question here, can you do a video explaining / comparing plans?
Or maybe just a link to a page that shows the up to date Apps available?
Also copilot is a subscription, but is on the Edge/Bing homepage. Is it the same Copilot?
Thanks.
a great soite to compare plans is M365maps.com
Lets see what I can learn today!
We never stop learning my friend 👋👍
@@AndyMaloneMVP True
I cant get my New 365 products to become the defaults ! whaaa? Where is this stuff installed ? It appears to be this new folder feature that is Locked ? same as MSFS. No wonder MS is becoming obsolete or just unendingly frustrating.
But I do appreciate the video !
I have just installed Microsoft 365 Business Premium . I am using it for myself as my business grows I will add users. Do you have any advice for a single user to start out?
Absolutely look at my Identity playlist.
Hello, is it possible to create my own domain in office 365 and create emails for my employee's ?! just like workspace, do we pay for each additional user(employee) need help asap
Absolutley you can do it in the setting page in the Microsoft 365 Admin centre :-) Here are the instructions. learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/setup/add-domain?view=o365-worldwide
Hi Andy, do you have any video related to migration to Microsoft 365?
not specifically but great idea though :-)
Would be great to have your insights on this :) @@AndyMaloneMVP
@@AndyMaloneMVP I am in dire need of it, please make a video on it at your earliest convivence, thank you!
great
Regarding making an 0365 Public/Private - what exactly does that mean? Does Public mean that users with a different O365 tenant can join your 0365 group?
Public essentially means that anyone in your company can browse a public group and access resources, whereas private groups can only be accessed by specifically assigned members
I have taken Microsoft 365 personal subscription. But during my free trial period I don't see any group's dialog launcher in word application. Will it be available after my free trial period is over?
This is a business only feature.
Content of this video should be at the beginning of the MS-102 Learn path....
is this 5 PCs per user?
isn't a staged migration and cutover, sometimes used for 000s of users?
why when creating the group, isn't it registered using a proper domain? Is this because you need to purchase one OR belong to a registered corp domain?
Yes, five PCs or Macs plus up to 10, mobile devices per user
📲🖥💻Thanks❗
Hello sir why some mails went junk folder & spam folder?
These type of emails are generally mass mail outs. And the system picks them up as potential John. However, you can write click the mail and move it to your inbox on the system should learn not to junket in the future.
what happens when you create the group and want to send email on behalf of that group?
Change the sound on behalf of settings to include the group
@@AndyMaloneMVP change the sound? or send? I'm talking about in M365, the online version....is there an option to "send on behalf of" here? or do you have to be looking at the newly created group/ be in it and be admin to be able to send it?
@@lifeslooker my apologies, I often dictate my responses, and sometimes Siri gets them wrong 😊 I meant to say change the on behalf of settings to include the name of the group. Beyond that I would go to support.microsoft.com for product support. Thanks again 👍
I dont understand how to add MS 365 to the Azure/Entra portal.
Once you’ve added licenses to your users for Microsoft 365. Open a separate tab and navigate to portal.office.com and you can then administer users via the office 365 portal.
For more details take a look at learn.microsoft.com
elo how to have an office 365 admin center?
Sign up for a demo business subscription. You don’t get it with a personal or home subscription.
@@AndyMaloneMVPthanks andy.. can you send mi a link for that? if its ok? thank you so much for your response.
👍🏻
Aw thanks so much that’s really appreciated 👍
Amazing video Andy but you video seems to be blocking alot of test in bottom right corner
Only during the slide presentations. The segments were recorded in PowerPoint and unfortunately I could not change the format, my apologies. However, all the demos were nice and clear I hope. Thanks again.
I gotta admit it can be a mess when you have a hybrid setup and you have to keep going between logins and new console vrs classic just to get things done.
Totally agree😊👍
going mobile has ruined us.
Introduce myself my name is Ariful Islam leeton im software engineer and members of the international organization and co Punder Microsoft 365
Promising video but unfortunately your "self-video" blocks parts of the slideshow leaving parts of text unreadable.
Glad you enjoyed it. I think this was a limitation of Microsoft PowerPoint as the video was actually recorded within the application. My newer videos no longer use this method.
A lot of useful information but unfortunately also more information which is completely unnecessary
Sorry to hear that. There are plenty of other RUclips channel I’m sure might answer your questions or you could always pay for a class of course😋
I find the introduction 'music' very annoying
Sorry to hear that. Perhaps a thrash metal track May please so😂🤣
😂😂 shut up! Nerd!
Thanks for the great content.
