I'm actually enjoying this game >.> I haven't put any money beyond the $30 intro price and I'm playing the same character I started in the first place. It feels like they took the idea of Metal Gear Online and gave it a fleshed out PvE friendly environment instead of attempting to make a PvP game that was a horrid blunder. Fulton and Shotguns were superfluously imbalanced in MGO. The controls are a direct MGSV translation except you can only Fulton enemies and animals, getting someone to your base requires you to carry them to a teleport point. The base building is far more stripped down which is to be expected considering you're in the middle of a desert planescape rather than the ocean. There's also no clear way to get rid of members of your base team aside from sending them off to die in the wilderness to get more recruits to spawn in the regions. For a game that's meant to have longevity, the purchasable items are kind of a bad step since there's no alternative beyond rebooting the character and its not like you share anything beyond bank items between your character files. The game also started at $30 so if you like it you can spend the rest of a full price to expand in minor directions. It at least didn't have the gall to be fully priced and have BS cash grabs like BF2 (before their removal), the last couple iterations of CoD, or Destiny 2.... It also doesn't show off a whole slew of characters to show off at launch that were locked behind a paywall like SFV.
just like having another MGO Character Slot, it cost MB Coins, you randomly receive it if you log every day (as a Daily gift), it will cost you if you wanna speed up everything, but with patience you'll get enough SV Coins to create a lot of character slots, remember, MB Coins = SV Coins
