Nice to revisit! I bought 2 BIB's (passed on the small batch) last month, and took one to a family bbq. It mostly ended up being mixed but was really enjoyed. Have not seen the Single Barrel too often, but always grab 2 for the stash when I do. It's pretty good quality that just can't be beat for the price. Lucky to have it in our stores here on the left coast - Cheers!

I've only seen/had the BiB, unfortunately paid $29.99 + $9.60 in WA state sales and liquor tax, so it's a one and done just because of price.

I think Costco has contracts where they will sell your product (1792) but you have to make a Kirkland brand equal to or better than the original product.

      This is true!!

That is probably true in most/all cases, when there is an NDA & there is nothing on the label (or anywhere) stating where the product is sourced.
In the case of these whiskies, it's the opposite, because Barton 1792 is on the label, so Barton would never shoot themselves in the foot, by making this better or equal to the 1792 Full Proof at half the price.
The Kirkland SiB 120P is essentially younger and/or barrels that didn't make it into 1792 Full Proof or were pulled for single barrel selection, but nobody selected them. 1792 FP "reject" barrels, if you will.
Having had them both, the Kirkland is more than half the quality of 1792 FP SiB (50-80%) & it is half the price at most & often less. So, that makes it a great value.
At the same store here, the kirkland SiB is $22.50 per 750mL & the 1792 FP (batched) is $43.

Wish that was available nation wide.. kirkland is 5 less proof (120) but it is NCF.. Anyway, if you had both, does 1 stand out over the other?

It can say Straight if its less than 4, down to two if it has the age listed. This is actually 4 years.

These are not available in Ga as Costco is categorized as a grocery store here and not allowed to sell spirits. Such a shame because I like a good bargain bottle to mix and experiment with

Not true. Limitation in GA is that only one Costco per county can sell liquor. In Fulton County, that one is in Alpharetta but not the one in Sandy Springs. Same applies to Sam’s Club.

You should blind them against 1792.
