Thank you Stephanie and Phillip for sharing an experience I cherish. Ever since I was a child I have dreamt of going up in a hot air balloon. It must be exhilarating and now I have had a taste of it. The tour of the wine-growing area with its age-old chateaux gives such a comforting feeling of history and tradition. This was a real treat.
Absolutely Lady Stephanie & Lord Phillip you two are Jewels yourselves and so talented in this, Your Journey Together! We All wish you happiness, ever after!! Much ❤️ Always!! Linda
What an amazing life you get to live. You get to go see these incredible places and learn about the history from the families who's relatives have been living there for generations. I'm with Philip in that I'd be a little terrified of the hot air balloon and the height but the excitement of the adventure would convince me to do it. Never stop dreaming and growing and having fun. It obviously keeps you young and beautiful.
Sadly our local balloonist with over 35 years of experience died this year when he fell out of the balloon trying to untangle a rope. I admire the beauty from the slow silent aircraft, but I won't fly in one.
Another wonderful journey with you, Stephanie. I love, Michael Potts, humor, and your whimsical retort. And also Philip and his genuine wonder of things- I can’t imagine a bad day with any of you!
What a stunning weather day you had for this magnificent adventure...! Keep this up, Stephanie, and you will be asked to head the Department of Tourism in France!
What a wonderful tour! Bravo Phillip for making the hot air balloon ride. I'd be freaked out as well. I bet the wines were just wonderful. I love the philosophy of the last gentleman about the presence of those who have worked that land for thousands of years.
As much as heights may be a bit un-nerving, the view from the hot air balloon is spectacular. Such gorgeous country. Such history. And the wine. Oh, my. Thank you for a wonderful tour.
You All just get Better and Better. Great Teamwork with the amazing Muse Stephanie who Inspires and is so full of " joie de vivre". Phillipe and Stephanie bring beauty to this planet.
Honestly this is like the best dream one could have come true. So much passion in the wine making and food preparation and chateau living. I always wanted to do the hot air balloon. Thank you for sharing. The scenery is just incredible.
That was so fun! The scenery, the chateaux, the food and the wine were all breathtaking! I love listening to vignerons talking about their wines. It always amazes me how much thought and work goes into making wine.
Thank you so much for sharing your life and travels with us. Sometimes people can't travel, but because of your generosity in sharing your experience with us we get to experience to a small degree the things we'd otherwise totally missed. Thank you so much!
Stephanie, I just have to tell you, that your vlogs are tremendous! And, I love everytime that I know before I watch them, that I will love them. Getting excited when I see, "Upcoming Video, Coming Up." Your support team, I call them, are a great asset! I love seeing all the enthusiasm, history, fashion, incredible experiences, love, hard work, gardening, food critiquing you all have together! I would have to say if they asked, which vlog do you love the most, it would be yours! May I be able to watch all your vlogs for as long as they continue!!
What an absolutely delightful passage through the pastoral scenes of vineyards and breathtaking tours of grand and historic chateaux. As to the hot air balloon floating up high over medieval Burgundy towns and its impressively colorful landscape, I'm happy that despite his fear of heights Philip rose, literally, to the challenge. I've taken hot air balloon rides over the rolling vineyards of the Napa Valley and it is truly an adventure that one must experience personally. There's nothing else like it. Thank you, Stephanie, for sharing such amazing beauty and its moving story with us.
As Michael commented, there is nothing like drinking the wine while standing next to the vines from which they were born. We have had the same experience while visiting Napa, CA (although not nearly as old!). Thank you so much for taking the time to film, edit and share this magnificent part of France!
Sorry for butting in and I might also add that I am an American BUT I do not drink Napa Valley wines as they cannot compete with the French products at all...not at all, no way, not the same thing and nothing will convince me. I drink only French and when in Italy of course Italian ... they have some excellenr wines and if you go to a wine boutique that also serves food you will have a winner of a meal!
I wasn't expecting to like the new channel just as much as the Chateau Diaries! I love that this channel is in a different style than your others; it's like a new and amazing side to you!
I had to stop this video 5 minutes in....because I have to watch it with my hubby tonight!!! I can't wait! How beautiful! Congrats again Stephanie for this new channel!!! Hugs from Canada!
OMG! Stephanie, you have a dream life that you have created for yourself! I’m definitely coming to France when I can, to visit all (well some) of the places you have highlighted. 🇨🇦❤
So interesting, different “ feelings” in each chateau, I can see the change in style and content over the years and different parts of. France. Thank you for sharing ❣️
Thank you so much Stephanie. I enjoyed this beautiful day along with you and Phillip. Due to my health, I am unable to leave my properties. When I was young and healthy, I didn’t have the time or desire to travel to even other States in the United States . You are a natural at giving your viewers a chance to see places that others, perhaps like myself would never get to see or viewers ideas of where they would like to travel. The history you tell of well…everything you invite us to see whether it’s a château, a region , traditions of a village or even an object that is obviously well aged but it’s historic background would not likely be revealed without your beautiful way of “painting the picture” in your story telling gift. Your enthusiasm lifts my spirits, so once again, thank you for being you. Stacy from Peculiar, Missouri, USA
Nothing is more beautiful than the French countryside. That is how I felt when I visited it, and how I feel again when I watch it on youtube videos. The colors just seem more vivid than in other places. I'm not even sure why, but that's how it looks to me. I like the idea of considering the energy concerning wine and food.
Wow - what a beautiful tour at such a beautiful time of year. The vineyards in fall are spectacular. We got to tour the vineyards in Sonoma, CA in the fall once and it was just breathtakingly beautiful. The chateaus are amazing. That kitchen with the huge fireplace - wow!
Spectacular! I only got 10 feet maybe off the ground and we had to descend due to high winds; so envious. LOVE the chateaux owners; so down to earth and lovely people. Thank you for the tour.
Isn’t it the most glorious views and such total quiet. Seeing the world from that view is fabulous! Unless you’ve been up there it’s impossible to understand the peace. Very beautiful tour.
Absolutely spectacular. You are making me want to come to France more and more with each interesting video. The rich history and culture is just fascinating.
3:45 I like the way Phillip is enjoying his fly ! 4:45 I'm so happy to see this restored Renault Estafette, not the always seen VW Bus. All those beautiful patrimonies to share in a one shot, that's gorgeous !
Stephanie, this video was so well done. You present everything so well and make it so personal that we felt like we were there with you. You have a keen way to connect your audience with what you're doing in the video. Bravo!
Stephanie, you are just the greatest presenter! I love France and only been to Paris thus far. I always wanted to travel around France and will start saving next year to make my dream a reality and this is all encounged by the YOU! Thank you! I hope gentle Philip has recovered after the balloon trip. Greetings from South Africa
(from Sharon, Australia). Oh wow! Another gorgeous destination in France to add to our bucket list when we next visit. I am really enjoying this channel and love seeing you and Phillip touring the countryside. A bientot, Sharon
Just when I thought I had seen such spectacular chateaus, another one tops the last! So glad to see the family holding into their family chateau all these years. Hugs and love from Texas!
Oh Stephanie how envious I am. For over twenty years my late husband and myself took ourselves off to Burgundy on wine buying trips for ourselves and I have been lucky enough to have tasted both regions you visited. Autumn is a beautiful time to visit. The vines are all colours and the roads not so busy. Thank you brought back happy memories and I am now going to watch your vlog all over again. 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🇬🇧🇬🇧
Breathtaking views! Those vineyards - the mother lode of centuries’ old wine making, and of nurturing the land. You see it shine clearly from the wine in each glass.
What an amazing virtual vacation I have had- thanks to you Stephanie! Hot air ballooning over France has now made it to the top of my bucket list! Just incredible!
Divine! Thanks for sharing this fabulous day with us. Nothing like a hot air balloon ride…. I did one in Cappadocia. Stunning. Bravo, Philip… you did it! Your French countryside is so beautiful and the chateaux are just spectacular.. Merci bien. ❤
There was so much to take in I felt like everything was my favorite thing! Hot air ballooning has been a dream since childhood and I had no idea it originated in France; and of course at my favorite place! I look forward to your next adventure ❤️🇨🇦
This has been a grand experience to just be able to watch. I truly wish I could visit, but your wonderful excursions will have to be my armchair travels. The food looked delicious...as did the wine. Thanks again.
The way you guys live every single minute of life to the fullest reminds me of how we Texans live. We work hard, play hard and love hard. To see you and other French men (and women 😊) not only enjoy the beauty that nature provides but celebrate it, is truly inspiring! Once again, thank you for exposing us to those things we normally would never be able to experience. XOXO
WOW! What a wonderful day out - stunningly beautiful scenery. I too am afraid of heights, however the view is well worth that flight. Glad you went up for that epic ride Phillip. You always outdo yourself Stephanie, thank you once again for sharing your special moments.
Wow what fun a tour! Beautiful part of the world! The architecture, the history, the wine, the food and the people, love, love, love! I'm sitting here drinking a delicious Marlborough NZ Sav Blanc pretending I'm there with you. I've really enjoyed this vlog - thanks for the vicarious experience ❤
Oh, that view from the little stonewall at Chateau de Chamirey is just like a painting, isn't it?! 😃 And yes, everything is energy...I love hearing about bio-diversity and energy at Domaine de Villaine 🙌 What an adorable van you to traven in! Beautifully restored 😍 Love, Jacqueline from New Zealand, still in summer clothes 😁
Stephanie, I am SO glad you started this channel! You have given me many ideas for future travel and the experiences you have documented are going to the top of the list!
❤I really appreciate and enjoyed this beautiful video. I love these places to see and the château’s are unbelievably gorgeous and so romantic. The families that live there are interesting and excited to show you their homes. I love your enthusiasm and your joy of seeing the beauty of the country, the vineyards and the château’s. This was a delightful time well spent. ❤
I love courtyards. Theres something so romantic about them, maybe because theyre practically non existent now. Its one of my favourite features in homes that feels like its lost. Along with towers and outdoor kitchens and bell towers or even actual door bells that you pull to ring and i love when a house has multiple staircases to the same floor. Like a main grand one where anyone can go and a "servants" one thats more of a utility/hidden staircase in a kitchen so you can go about your life and not have to worry about bumping into people or trying to carry heavy or messy things up a pretty polished and often carpeted one. And the safety of having more than one exit in the case of emergency. And i love how all older houses had transoms and were built to be cool or warm without electricity with smart design and well placed windows and doors for airflow. And how every door window furniture cupboard etc had a lock on them. And the old style skeleton keys that were as big as your hand and not tiny fiddly flat things like modern keys which are also ugly. Theres so much to love about old houses and thankfully many things have been preserved in stately homes where it couldnt be in the avrege family home oh like dumbwaiters? The tray in the wall that youd put food on kind of like a laundry chute but controlled with a hand crank or rope set and could take food or heavy things or whatever to different floors. And actual laundry chutes that mean theres no lugging washing around AND the old clotheslines where you dont move about you just pull the line and put on your clothing and then reel the laundry away and get empty line for more laundry its called amaish style now but basically one long big rope like thats super high that you can run under the line and it flsps in the breeze better and attached to your house and usually a tree and you rarely even need to leave your house let alone trudge out under the sun or cold or into the grass etc and can do it from your laundry or a deck area. People in times past were so much wiser and efficient with the daily household management and such.
This is such a charming video. I always appreciate when you put "English subtitles" in when the French are speaking French. But I fear we lost a lot of information here as it was very difficult to understand the French speaking English. It would probably be quite time consuming to do a transcript of the couple of tours toward the end but it would be lovely to know what they were saying!
Just WOW! What a stunning place. The land is just like a giant painting, I’m literally blown away. Thank you for taking us along with you. I would love to move to France and seeing these stunning places helps 😍 Philip I too am afraid of heights and suffer vertigo and would want to jump out 🙈❤️
Hot Air Balloon! I'm not sure I could handle the heights either, but the views and the experience are truly amazing! Spectacular sights, floating over those glorious Chateaux and vineyards. And those Chateaux! Absolutely amazing. I'm intrigued by Domaine de Villane, and his passion to keep energy in balance. Such an amazing place, and I'll bet that those wines were glorious!
Philip I am with you, I would’ve been terrified as well. About the time that we hit the tree I would’ve dampened my drawers! Again you handled it with Grace. The tours of these shut toes were absolutely fascinating Stephanie. Thank you so much. Really really enjoyed it. Love from California💜🤟🏻😎🇺🇸
Thank you so much for the video. It is magical. I am always surprised by all the journeys you take us on. My husband asked if I wanted go to France and I said "no". However I am starting to weaken. I didn't want to travel in this time with so much uncertainty. Maybe in a few years when life is better.
Loved this tour and think that you do an amazing job of bringing us along with you, I felt as if I was there. It was also very interesting and I loved the scenery. Thank you so much, Stephanie, Phillip and Michael.
💖💖💖I went Hot-air Ballooning in the Winter over Snow covered mountains and now I am so enjoying your experience as my own!!! What a Thrill!!! Yes to have only a basket between you and the earth so far away. I So appreciate the history. THANK YOU SO MUCH 💓 Merci 💋💋💋
How divine truly divine. You couldn't have chosen a better day to create such beauty. The Autumnal hues, the sweeping landscape and sensational wine. OMG l wanted to drink it all. Just loved this video, thank you so much for taking us to places that are not possible to travel to just now.🇭🇲
Stephanie, if you ever visit Egypt again you should take a balloon flight at Luxor. It is the only way to really take in just how vast the sites of the temples and Valley of the Kings are. It is also a great way to see early morning Egyptian life.
This was such an Amazing video! Thank you for allowing me to come along with you to places I would likely never be able to go! Beautiful cinematography, and very informative. Can’t wait for our next trip!! 🏰
Copper is an energy conductor which can create and move energy around..it is also one of the 5 elements used in Feng Shui. the others being Wood, Earth, Fire and Water.
What an amazing video, I loved it all, the filming was beautiful, especially from the hot air balloon 🥰🥰
I suspect that Philip might be the person behind the camera😉Thank you Philip as well as Stephanie.❤️❤️

Just WOW! What a stunning place. The land is just like a giant painting, I’m literally blown away. Thank you for taking us along with you. I would love to move to France and seeing these stunning places helps 😍 Philip I too am afraid of heights and suffer vertigo and would want to jump out 🙈❤️
Passeando no balão e visitando um castelo lindo uma boa aventuras 👍👍👏👏
Hot Air Balloon! I'm not sure I could handle the heights either, but the views and the experience are truly amazing! Spectacular sights, floating over those glorious Chateaux and vineyards. And those Chateaux! Absolutely amazing. I'm intrigued by Domaine de Villane, and his passion to keep energy in balance. Such an amazing place, and I'll bet that those wines were glorious!
Love the view from the hot air balloon the wine cellars wow the chatue and village is amazing
What a wonderful tour. Iam really intrigued by the last winery and Chateau. The energies of the land that go into the wine is interesting.
This is fantastic! I was transported via balloon to the wine country. Very enjoyable, thanks!
24:47 those miniature clay tiles we see so much of in châteaus are very beautiful, in my opinion.
i love the plants and floral around the land of the chateau.
How divine truly divine. You couldn't have chosen a better day to create such beauty. The Autumnal hues, the sweeping landscape and sensational wine. OMG l wanted to drink it all. Just loved this video, thank you so much for taking us to places that are not possible to travel to just now.🇭🇲
Thank you for taking us along.
Lots of love from Norway
Another fabulous vlog!! Thanks Stephanie and Philip!!🥂🏰❤️
Absolutely beautiful, all of it, thanks for sharing this with us all, best wishes from Australia x
Really amazing ! Thank you very much for sharing with all of us your adventure ! Bisous from Alsace 🤗😘
