The most enchanting still life of Chartres and it’s hidden treasures to ever come alive and seen through the eyes of France’s most prolific cultural ambassador in such a picturesque way that the viewing audience ends up being mesmerised throughout. Ms. Jarvis at her very best ! 🥇
Stephanie is such a great tour guide as people are saying....for a moment she reminded me of Rick Steve's start to a video in her talent for presenting everything- even though they don't look alike/have different accents....but the level of professional presentation while still being down to earth is there. It would be interesting if they ever crossed paths presenting these little shops in France....cafe's, regional cuisine...
Stephanie and Phillip, you all mean the world to me. You and Vivienne and Simon and Phillip have just lifted my heart. Family has lost church friends who have passed on. You all are such a light this day. Thank you so much!!!
Hi Stephanie, Decades ago, I visited the home of the poet Ronsard (Prieure de Saint Cosme nr Tour, Loire), where I saw the beautiful Ronsard rose for the first time.
my favorite youtubers, lalande and chateau love in the village where i grew up and where i come back almost every weekend to see my parents!😊 Welcome in my village😉 I went to school with one of Mr Boillot''s son Augustin. I really like the work of this artist. Une figure de La Chartre😁
Oh. What a charming town. I am drooling over tortoise and the ceramics on that pop up boutique. I am ceramic art collector and this tortoise was something else. You lucky couple!
Oh my goodness! So much wonderful to try to take in! Anne of Green Gables, (Do you know of her?) would have used the expression, kindred spirits, to describe the four of you taking in all the simple pleasures. I feel like I would have been one too, if only I could be there. Thank you sooooooo much for making these delightful videos, so that I may join along in some way.
Omg I’m literally minute into this and he is talking Carroll Shelby! I’m from Dallas Texas, hello his home, and I’ve been loving your vlogs and a patron of two tiers for a couple years and it makes e so happy to find these little American vignette’s in your journeys! We are such young country and get quite a bit of crud about that but I love to see how everyone gets we are all over the place, plus we are immigrants from other countries… we just didn’t come form here, our fore fathers came from elsewhere, unless they were the American Indians… we are y’all in a new country… ❤ it and y’all!
That was so much fun. It was full of interesting and beautiful antiques and modern day arts and crafts. Thank you for taking us on this wonderful visit! ❤
I have always wanted a French perfume bottle and a French handbag. Seeing those perfume bottles made me drool! I love watching everyone's shopping trips so I can spot them all in the videos. It would be a dream to shop there! I just don't find things from France here in Canada.
Pierre de Ronsard… I had to memorize that poem for French language class in school. I had to recite it as a pronunciation exercise. I was so happy to hear it recited here!
A beautiful place. Wonderful shops. I shudder to contemplate though what it would cost to ship furniture from France to where I am in Australia! But if I get back to France, I doubt I will be able to resist! Thank you for the video!
I can see how easy it would be to get in trouble with Isabelle in La Chartres! It's a charming town with lovely shops, magical brocantes and so many beautiful things. Vivienne and Simon of the fairytale Chateau La Croix Boisée are the perfect couple to tour the town with and inspire Philip and Stephanie to indulge in a few fun purchases, though not much encouragement is required.😄
Ehat an absolutely fabulous visit you both had with Simon and Vivienne. I am in envy. I miss those days of rare finds in sntique shops and meeting the artists and experiencing the culture. I now wish so much that I traveled more when I was younger. Watching you all makes me burst with inspiration and opens my creative mind. I particularly liked the tortoise and the the old lady carrying wood. Such great finds you all aquired. ❤
Loved all your grand tour of Europe videos, but I would have to say this one has become my favourite ❤️ So beautiful! Such an interesting place and having Vivienne and Simon with you was lovely. My husband and I are coming home to see our family in Germany in two weeks time, and my mother in law has given me one of her dinner and coffee sets, which I will have to take home to New Zealand , which is going to be interesting 🤭 and I can’t wait to use it once we are back home in NZ.
The brush store was my favourite. Such beautiful and useful household items. If we have to clean it should always be done with lovely crafted tools. It makes the mundane almost special.
The river at 9:45 looks beautifully clean, would you ever swim in it? Roger Deakin wrote a wonderful book of his challenge of swimming across the UK and has inspired interest in wild roaming and swimming. Another gem Stephanie, thank you from the bottom of my heart for such joy. Big love to all. Jen
Cyd in the USA. I so enjoyed watching the four of your together. I started my day with Chateau Love's video of your visit with them. Yesterday I saw your arrival greeted by Vivienne and Simon. I know there is more to come. I've seen everything from sturdy brushes to tender poetry...I'm ready for more 🙂
Chartre and my city, Luján Argentina; are sisters cities. About 12 years ago both cities sign a pact of friendship. Thank you so much for showing us a bit of Chartre!!
I just found a beautiful vintage brush at a yard sale. Wooden handle probably horsehair bristles but soft. Perfect for using with my vintage black dustpan
This was Absolutely Fantastic ❤ Such eye Candy 🍬The history in this shop Blows me away!!!! Another Wonderful Field Trip 😊Thank You for Taking us along 😊❤😂❣️
There are only 3 RUclips channels where i enjoy watching someone go 'treasure hunting'. Your channel is my very favorite. I especially like it when you & Phillip are doing so together. 😊
Omgoodness me I have been here and saw and took photographs of all the beautiful cars and drank coffee in that cafe 5 yrs ago on my 12 week tour around france so Thank you Stephanie 😊
I really love that blue crystal egg!! 😍😍😍 I would LOVED to have bought that! What a centerpiece for a diningtable! And then, after dessert, you could pop the top off, and have it be filled with little chocolates to go with the coffee 😃 And for easter, full of chocolate easter eggs!! 😂
So sorry I missed La Chartre in my travels to France! Such an exciting vlog, I felt I was there with you! The Antiques in Europe bring me closer to my heritage. Looking forward to a visit to l' isle sur la sorgue. Bring Vivien you will not be disappointed. Michele and Ronsard were fun, loved the tiles and fathers painted tortoise.
Oooh !!!
Wonderful vlog. A beautiful town and group of artists and collectors. I collect non-antique pottery from only NC or native american artists, so my collection doesn't get out of control. 😂❤
Lovely again in my own small way in Turkey I surround myself with lovely things in a small way visit Italy and the UK yes Phıllip Royal Worcester Evesham! Love it all love to Vivienne and Simon.
TERRE or LA TERRE the Turtle, Tierra in Spanish there is a legend that turtle holds, supports our planet. turtles are some of my most favorite little creatures to have at home. Stephanie, You got now the most elegant, exquisite, charming, and such a outstanding treasure..a museum piece for sure. I hope some day you find the time to create a nice little museum with all those pieces that you feel most inspired to be and with the story of how the artist he/she came with the idea to create the piece and a photo of it's creator of course. Hugs to all of you. And keep enjoying your trips, and keep making your videos for those like myself without ever chance to travel to France or any country over the sea, l dream l am there my only problem 😢 is that l can not take any piece with me, and in a second thought l couldn't buy anything anyway because l have not money 😮, and yes not money not funny 😂😅. Ok l am still shopping with you and let me tell you my shopping 🛒🛍️ are quite light so let's keep shopping...after all l have a lots of money, my money from childhood green 🍀 🌿 🌿 🎉And please say hello to TERRE the turtle and ask her if we can go out for a walk the three of us, or many of us and have a nice picnic near home. from Virginia.
Yes, I visited La Chatre on my last visit to France and the old quincaillerie is absolutely great. Unfortunately for me it was in February and quite rainy,
Tortoise named Mi-shell. Pun unintended.😂
Boom!! 😂🤣
Perfect!

This city is not as well known as Chartres or La Châtre. It is : La-Chartre-sur-le-Loir
@@mireille4751 Merci beaucoup. It would be easy for someone to end up in the wrong city because of the same or similar names!
I looked it up, kasteel in Dutch is chateau. The K is perfect.

Vivian is a ray of sunshine. Blessed and grateful.
Just love when you shop at antique, brocante and boutique shops....just love it!
The crocodile escape teapot needs to be in Ollies Cuba dining room. A sneaky reference.
What a brilliantly, wonderful, wonderful day. Merci beaucoup for taking me along with you. Beauty can be such a comfort - is this not so.

@@tinathene I think you are right, thank you for the correction. I just got caught up in the excitement of hearing a familiar name 🥴
