    This is so great. I love my 2010 Cube and have been thinking about how I can use it for camping. My driver's side window doesn't open anymore either! But the car is so reliable and gets such great mileage. I love it.

    Well done! Quick shout out to the little guy hardware store that had the stuff you needed when the big box store didn’t would’ve been nice. Always a good idea to help the locals! (just a thought!). Safe travels!

    I built a folding bed that fits over the folded seats in my cube. The deep trunk (boot) space has proved useful for making a little kitchen space and The squareness of the cube is so useful for being able to sit up and read at night even with the bed placed over the top of the seats. For a mattress i used a decathlon self inflating matt which Worked so well as it Fits tightly and snuggly between seat and door which holds the whole setup in place. It works perfectly and i can drive with the bed made up. Soooo handy and no need to remove seats. Delighted. Thanks for inspiring me with this video.

    Seeing the bike made me happy man! I think you’ll love having it, depending on your overnight plans. Might not be cool if you’re planning a ton of Walmart nights, just sayin!
    Always entertaining and allowed me to take a break from packing for winter camping next week!
    Cheers from the north !

      @IanODonnell  2 года назад +3

      Yeah, I think I'm going to enjoy having the bike! My plan is just to take the front wheel off of it if I'm going to be in a sketchier place. Also, on this trip I'm going to do my best to try and find dispersed camping places as much as possible!

      It really is nice having that extra room spilling up into the passenger seat. Makes a world of difference when you're in something car sized. Haha. Hope the video gave you some good ideas!

    Nice job. I would put a tide down from the front of the canoe to the bumper in the front of the car so while doing high way speeds, air DOESN'T get under it and blow it OFF and create a dangerous situation.

    Nice build. I definitely recommend proper roof bars for the kayak when going off road or taking expressway speeds. I find a tow hitch for bikes also beneficial for convenience. Lastly, I recommend looking at mesh window covers for darkening but also ventilation with a rechargeable portable fan for additional cooling.

    I'm building out my Cube and have watched her video for inspiration too. I use 1/2 plywood and it bent in the past so I support it better underneath. I may use it for shelving and buy 3/4 inch if the additional support doesn't work. So far so good. Thanks for sharing your designs.

    • @IanODonnell
      @IanODonnell  2 года назад +1

      Hahaha, an Odyssey would be great! Honda in general is a good brand car, they go forever. A convertible bed isn't a bad thing, I just think it's not for me and my travel style.

    Hi Ian, another great video. I'm in the process of converting my 2012 Chevy Tahoe PPV into a camper also. I'm going with a folding platform so that I can still use the rear seats for driving for Uber. I also plan on it being easy to remove so I can install my 3rd row seats. Keep up the great work. I really enjoy your video content. Thank again. MN2 Kevin Hill US Navy (retired)

      @@IanODonnell Thanks this will be my 2nd one I've built out. My other one is a 2004 Z71 4x4 complete overland build. Roof rack, outdoor shower, trailer hitch mounted outdoor grill, small fridge for soda and water. It's now a 3 seater as I left one of the rear seats intact. It's definitely my labor of love and gets me to the great outdoors.
