In spite of the pandemic, student enrollment is booming at HBCUs. Size is no indication of quality, but the larger schools have more resources, more programs, and bigger staff. Enjoy ✊🏽
@@BlackExcellist I wish I did when I started my journey I didn't think to do so (truth to be told not really technically savvy) 🤣 What I been doing is getting all schools entrance signs. And posting on Facebook. I should have done videos!😩

Norfolk State University, Hampton, Virginia Union University, Virginia State University, Winston-Salem, Bowie State....many more that can be considered
This was a well constructed lay out of your top HBCU! Very impressive! I am expecting my son to attend Howard's law program in the next 4 yrs! This is coming from his FAMU Mom! 🐍💖 Rattlers in the house!!
I went to Lincoln university, the best decision ever! But I want my son to go to NC A&T so I can see him enjoy all it has to offer! NC is on another level!
Great information. Totally agree North Carolina A & T deserves number #1. Very beautiful campus and museum as well. There were great efforts during slavery to educate descendants of American slaves. The reason HBCU’s were founded. The early conditions were not glamorous, the schools were established under harsh conditions. They took 🍋 and made lemonade during the most horrible times. North Carolina has the highest number of HBCU’s in America. Great efforts were made in the Carolinas. Alabama is the second largest state to educate their descendants. Although Maryland is a very small state early generations made efforts to educate their black population in all four corners of the state, never having to cross in DC unless they wanted. All of Maryland ‘s HBCU’s were founded by Methodist or Christian philanthropy due to the original free blacks of Maryland were Methodist and were educated by Methodist congregations as early as 1820 through AME congregations. The Methodist and Quakers fought tirelessly snd gave birth to both freedom and education in Maryland. I would love to learn about all the HBCU’s founded during slavery, it is the power of Perseverance! I will never forget Booker T.Washington, Mary M. Bethune, and Selena Sloan Butlers efforts to educate descendants of American slaves. The most educated black man in America was Frederick A. Douglass, who had no degrees, but was full of wisdom!
Dang! Sounds like you "done" learned all about HBCU's! You need to major in, or become a professor in Black History (esp. HBCU's)...taught me something just in your comment section! Aggie PRIDE!
As a very VERY VERY proud product of a HBCU I salute your great list. Now that that is clear however I MUST admit in all honesty that I am however presently suffering from quite a bit of disappointment regardless. can someone lead me to the best resources for a potential hbcu alumni coming from a pwi ? links, enrollment plans, alumni willing to counsel? thank you in advance!
College is important to a degree, but What good is an HBCU or Black Sorority if they're not producing any Black Women entrepreneurs to own their own Beauty Supply Shops/Nail Salons?
@@msjuicycouture22 What's good about a community if we dont own any of the major bussiness that are in it? It's very important to master the things that's on our playing field so to speak. The hair care is a Multi BILLION dollar industry and its IT'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. This is an industry that we have to seriously take on. I'm tired of seeing Black people with degrees and becoming managers at Amazon warehouses, UPS, Walmart and working at auto plants; jobs that a high school graduate can get.
@@msjuicycouture22 I wouldn't be surprised if there were less than 100 beauty supply shops owned by Black Women/Black people in the United States. Same with BRICK AND MORTAR nail salons. This is a pitiful shame. I'm not trying to down any of us but THIS IS A WAKE UP CALL THAT WE ALL NEED TO HEAR!
Are you attempting limit Black women's entrepreneurship to beauty supply shops and nail salons???? Seriously??? I say this as a Black woman entrepreneur in the beauty business. I would much rather have went to PVAM and gotten a petroleum engineering degree and invented a doo hickey to make gas exploration easier, become a gazillionaire then go to esthetics school in my spare time😂. DO NOT EVER TRY TO LIMIT BLACK WOMEN 😒😒😒😒

This comment is so accurate. I live in Washington DC and Howard has experienced a spike in applications.
.. AND larger volume of covid cases. maybe this is why PWIs took a hit in enrollments.
Doing a HBCU Tour on my motorcycle ( 89 schools so far) 😁

NC A$T, FAMU, TSU and Howard also have law schools.
NC A&T does not!! have a law school NCCU does
There are SIX HBCU LAW SCHOOLS: FAMU & HOWARD & NCCU & SOUTHERN & TEXAS SOUTHERN & UNIVERSITY of DC!!!!
TSU also has one of the top medical schools

Miles College has a law school. It is not approved by the ABA but it is accredited by the State of Alabama so you can take the AL bar and practice.

I'm sorry, and though many may not own an beauty supply store, I think with their degrees they may shoot higher than that. Just my opinion.
