Cutie Kitty Paws it’s probably because most Canadians take their impressions of the us from right across the border. Which would be the part of the us that tends to lean strongly to unsweetened tea.
What most people don't realize is that it varies between states, even the stores where you buy it. My father couldn't purchase an AK47 in California where we live, so he purchased one from a store in Arizona. While he wasn't an Arizona resident, he did have a conceal-carry license from the military and law enforcement, so they let him purchase it. I don't know much about Arizona law to say whether or not that's completely legal, but I can say we are California residents with an illegal assault rifle that was legally purchased. But that's like that with any business, where some are more lenient about rules and laws than others.
This has been debated before. In the English language, saying America instead of USA is fine, because most people will know what you mean. Stop trying to act smart.

You have to pass a background check in America too and all states have the guns registered in that particular state and most will have them federally registered. The majority of gun crimes are committed with illegally purchased firearms. Very few people will use a gun registered in their own name to commit a crime as it can be traced back to them.

kumikorkki I was talking not about the differences between the countries, but what is put forth (gun control and healthcare) are not exactly so wonderful in Canada. Its debatable and she sounds extremely biased (and yes, I do have friends who live in Canada and I lived there in the 70s).
rizon72 Well, she presented facts about both countries. Were some of those facts not true? Yes, she is a bit biased but lets not confuse facts with her personal opinions.
The reason why less people are killed by guns in Canada is because they have 10x less people. Also, strict laws just prevent normal responsible people from having guns, it doesn't prevent criminals. This is because of something called the black market, if a criminal wants a gun they'll just buy one without caring about the consequences.
we don't all get black friday off. we have flavored iced tea. we don't have a gun problem, but a gang problem due to poor economic policies of the left. we don't think giving away free healthcare is the best solution, but to put less regulation on businesses so they can hire more people who can get insurance through their employer. also our hospitals never turn away people.
Feb 2022... I've lived in Canada many years (read decades) and I've never heard of this....so cool! That's why Canadians are the funny ones of the world!
The cars in the United States and Canada are the same except for some makes and models. Any car originally sold in the United States has a speedometer that reads miles per hour while in Canada the speedometer reads kilometers per hour.
It's also heard in portions of Minnesota from experience but I've never been to the other states so not sure if they say it in N Dakota, Michigan, etc but I HAVE heard those in Duluth say it
+Brooklyn Facchinato I think it's more of an extreme north/central dialect. And to be honest, when I heard people saying it, it sounded more like a boat than a boot 😉
You got several facts wrong. Many Americans still have to work on Black Friday. Harriet Tubman will be on the new $20 bill. How many black women are on Canadian or British currency? Whether Walmart sells alcohol depends on local law. For example, Walmart only recently started selling wine in Tennessee, and the hours are restricted. No hard liquor. Also, did you call the sections of Canada "states"? I thought they were provinces and territories. Seriously, I did a search on Canadian currency. A lot of white men and Queen Elizabeth. Why judge the United States????? When it comes to so-called diversity, we are far ahead of both Canada and the UK.
You really believe that,! Canada has the MOST people from different countries, races, creeds, or religions than any country in the world, by far. What's more, we.all get along. You don't. We are THE melting pot. We are THE multiculturalism experiment gone RIGHT! We are what the USA envisioned, but could not achieve.
In the USA even the cases in which an employer offers employee healthcare, it is still paid for by the employee. In most cases, they get a discount for their employees with pre-tax payments but the employer doesn't actually pay for it. There are some employers who do, but mostly it's paid from your paycheck. Yet, most USA citizen don't read their paystubs or contracts and assume otherwise.
Lost me when started bashing the US on #2, then #1. Lots of false info. Not to mention Canadians come to the US for healthcare as opposed to waiting months in Canada for treatment.
shawn bastien no I had one back then but now I been trying to have it for so long and it never comes , so I need to go to reservation or usa to get better deals on Healthcare
Been living in canada all my life never heard anyone (ANYONE) say aboot. 😧some people are just so jealous of Canada that they make crap up to make us sound weird!

You have to get a background check in the US to buy a gun as well. This is a common misconception pushed by pro-gun control politicians.

kumikorkki I was talking not about the differences between the countries, but what is put forth (gun control and healthcare) are not exactly so wonderful in Canada. Its debatable and she sounds extremely biased (and yes, I do have friends who live in Canada and I lived there in the 70s).
rizon72 Well, she presented facts about both countries. Were some of those facts not true? Yes, she is a bit biased but lets not confuse facts with her personal opinions.
I'm an American but I freaking love Canadians they're so lucky I wish i could move there.
No they aren't lol
I'm also Canadian come over
Salty Lemon same
Yeah Salty Lemon Canadians are cool ehhhhhhh bud lol
Salty Lemon why you kids don't love your cntry?😐
I cannot believe she really said that about American bills. Wow
Second Cup is also a large chain in Canada. See it everywhere I go
"Starbucks!"
*wut bout dunkin donuts*
Exactly.
Aboot*
Just letting you know in Canada they are called provinces not states
Would recommend to go to Canada because there are less murder rate that US
I live in USA and spell favourite like a Canadian
The reason why less people are killed by guns in Canada is because they have 10x less people. Also, strict laws just prevent normal responsible people from having guns, it doesn't prevent criminals. This is because of something called the black market, if a criminal wants a gun they'll just buy one without caring about the consequences.
True
But we dont have to deal with the bullshit of differing who is aloud to have a gun in public and who isnt
You can't have a gun in public without a relevant profession (such as being a cop) or a licence. There's no mystery about who's legit.
+David Kelly well in Canada you can't really bare an arm as an off-duty cop.
KingDucks Entertainment Same in America though most are licenced so it's not really an issue.
Actually, drinking age in Canada in certain provinces is 18. I live Montreal and the drinking age here is 18.
And also, we pay much more taxes. Both provincial and federal.
But when you get cancer and require life saving surgery, it won't mean you will lose your home and money unexpectedly. Social Care is neccessary.
its because we have free healthcare
poterby FIFA I live in Alberta and also 18
poterby FIFA in Toronto I think it's 18 or 19 I'm not sure
I used to like MostAmazingTop10 videos but this one? Horrible.....
Because it's by a Brit?
Starbucks and Dutch Bros is popular in America. Also happy to know Starbucks was created in my state 😁
we don't all get black friday off. we have flavored iced tea. we don't have a gun problem, but a gang problem due to poor economic policies of the left. we don't think giving away free healthcare is the best solution, but to put less regulation on businesses so they can hire more people who can get insurance through their employer. also our hospitals never turn away people.
You are right about flavored iced tea. Wrong about everything else.
+Gerry Laarakker I don't get black friday off. Please enlighten me about everything else.
For an American, that would take me far too long.
+Gerry Laarakker Tells me I'm wrong, but refuses to tell me how I'm wrong. Go figure.
+Sandy DiVa FINALLY being tested! THANK GOD FOR OBAMACARE!
It’s not just the fifty dollar bill that smells like maple syrup if you scratch the little maple leaf on any bill it will smell like maple syrup 🍁
Yep
Really that’s awesome
@ATX-CVPI Accurate!
I was born in America, so I'd like to visit Canada
Guess what? Smaller population, less people to have to socialize with. I'm never leaving Canada
Cat Swag america is amazing... you should come visit sometime.
gabby. conner it’s not so good. i went and the diet coke tasted like dirt and the people were like the food portions. HUGE
Lydia L IKR😂😍
michael Jackson is life You will love it here!
Lydia L it’s great here I hate socializing
I'm Canadian And I've never heard anyone say aboot
Ottawa Valley area.
It's also heard in portions of Minnesota from experience but I've never been to the other states so not sure if they say it in N Dakota, Michigan, etc but I HAVE heard those in Duluth say it
+Sandy DiVa I've heard it around the Great Lakes region on both side of the border, So I guess it's regional. like "pop" vs "soda".
+Brooklyn Facchinato I think it's more of an extreme north/central dialect. And to be honest, when I heard people saying it, it sounded more like a boat than a boot 😉
Call it A BOAT then. One thing is for sure, it's not ABOUT.
I’m an American, I call it iced tea
Um in America we do have flavored ice tea for example we have Lipton etc.
And, Susan B. Anthony was on the U.S. one dollar coin!
that because we have a large and diverse people within our boarders.
Make the debate easier: put animals on them lol.
Mark Hoffer i hope that wasnt towards me. if it was, please read my comment vary carefully.
uhm...I live in Canada, and it's 18 years like in england (for drinking) eh !
only in quebec
Drinking age is 18 in Alberta.
wdym drinking is 18 in almost every province. Which provinces is it not in?
British Columbia, drinking age is 19. Currently living in B.C.
oh
In the USA even the cases in which an employer offers employee healthcare, it is still paid for by the employee. In most cases, they get a discount for their employees with pre-tax payments but the employer doesn't actually pay for it. There are some employers who do, but mostly it's paid from your paycheck. Yet, most USA citizen don't read their paystubs or contracts and assume otherwise.
Fun Fact: In some places it gets warm in the summer in Canada 😱
I live in America. I'm watching this to see what is good about Canada. Like if I should move there
I think A LOT of us are beginning to consider that.
Zulo but America is the best country
no its not
I have travelled. We have some pros and cons. I no longer believe we are the "best". We have a long way to go.
Zulo same here.
Lost me when started bashing the US on #2, then #1. Lots of false info. Not to mention Canadians come to the US for healthcare as opposed to waiting months in Canada for treatment.
in canada healtcare is expensive af, they wanted to charge me 1200 for blood work , i pay 200 everything inlcuded in usa
because you are american, in canada u walk in, wait a long while and walk out. a week later you get the results but no bill
shawn bastien no I am canadian ,
did u have your health care card
shawn bastien no I had one back then but now I been trying to have it for so long and it never comes , so I need to go to reservation or usa to get better deals on Healthcare
So I miss Canada I was born in Canada and when I was 2 years old I moved to the US and I really miss that maple syrup
Been living in canada all my life never heard anyone (ANYONE) say aboot. 😧some people are just so jealous of Canada that they make crap up to make us sound weird!
I know, next thing you know « aboot » is gonna be a language.-.
