Are you out there doing nice things? I think it's more oriented towards the youth to encourage good behavior like "helping a granny cross the road" and things of that nature.
yeah I live in the US and have my entire life and I openly hate on it everyday. I however love Canada, and think we can learn from them on how to better our country.
Don't forget Canada has fewer people than the state of California in an area larger than the entire USA. Less issues and problems tend to arise with much fewer people.
I love living in Canada. Lived here all my life. Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. We have the biggest nickel and Science North. Medical school, University and 2 colleges. Great fishing lakes. This is just the city I live in. Winters are pretty cold. Currently it is -20C and we have lots of snow. It is only the beginning of winter. Another 5 months of this. lol. We do know how to keep warm, though. :) Much love from Canada, everyone.
The best friend I have had for many years lives in Sarnia. I have never actually met her in person, but she has corresponded with me frequently, and is the kindest, most compassionate true lady that I have ever known. So today, I am proud to celebrate Canada Day for all the reasons that make our ally so strong, but also because of Helen!
When I think about the word "Dignity" with respect to the world politics etc, I am immediately reminded of Canada. Canada should be THE role model to the rest of the world. Just live your life with dignity and joy.
I'm so happy to be Canadian :Edit I live in Brantford where the telephone was invented and I recently visited the Bell Homestead and it's quite a cool place to see some history
I really enjoyed this video . And also it motivated me to be in that country one day. I'm from Iran but I really enjoy traveling. You know , I decided to travel around the world!!❤✌

My mom said we may move to Canada so just getting prepared!! (It's going to be hard because I won't know any history and I will have to spell some words differently)
I love Canada! I've been to Toronto and Montreal a few times, such a beautiful country with very friendly people! I would love to have a house in either city one day! :)
1. Poutine 2. Ketchup chips 3. All dressed chips 4. We call beanies “tuques” 5. We went once at 9th grade to visit a working jail and it feels better than my school.
The Basketball Association of America became the NBA. The first game played by the predecessor of the NBA was played by the Toronto Huskies hosting the New York Knickerbockers at Maple Leaf Gardens. After that Canadians decided it was somewhat of a wimpy game and left it for the Americans. No one knows when or were baseball was invented but the first documented or recorded game was played outside London Ontario. The game that influenced Gridiron football(American football) was played between Harvard and McGill. Good news for our American friends however there is no question the Americans invented Volley ball. Incidentally Canada also has the oldest professional football teams.
Oh boy ... 3) There's no such thing as a college degree here. Colleges give out diplomas and certificates; universities give out degrees. 4) It's "Santa Claus" not "Santa Clause" 7) It's "Yonge Street" not "The Yonge Street" 9) We have lots of other fun place names, too, such as Climax and Vulcan. 12) "The Police Department in Canada"? I googled this and found 2 small towns where this had happened. It's not usual. 13) As wonderful as it sounds (and we like to brag about it), the Americans actually tried to invade the British colony of Canada. We didn't become a separate nation until 1867. 16) You're referring to "correctional facililties" (aka prisons aka penitentiaries). We have many, many more jails. 24) "In Canadian NorthWest Territories". Our territories are similar to our provinces. We have 3 of them: The Yukon, Inuvit, and The NorthWest Territories. You should have said, "In Canada's NorthWest Territories". I know this is nit-picking but, if you're sharing interesting facts, please be more accurate.
I'm from Canada, and number 22 on this list should be more specific. We have the most fresh water lakes in the world, does not include all lakes cause if it did we would also have the most salt water lakes! Also a Canadian invented insulin, so that diabetics would have a better chance at survival and stuff.
#7 is actually a misconception. people think that yonge street turns into highway 11 and then arcs north and eventually west, but it doesn't. yonge goes from to Toronto to my hometown of Barrie. highway 11 (which is a totally different road) begins at a fork in the northeast part of the city where highway 400 turns left but 11 heads east and then north. the closest yonge got to that fork was downtown, but streets changed and intersections moved causing it to change names into burton and then end abruptly at essa road.
He emigrated to Canada first and had a huge home in Cape Breton were he built the plane the Silver Dart and raised his family. One of his children married a Grosvenor of the National Geographic Magazine fame. The Alexander Graham Bell museum is in Baddeck, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The first long distance phone call was made in Ontario.
Sid Li yes he was a Canadian citien that libed in America he was trying to figure out a sport for the kids to do during the winter inside so be took a soccer ball and peach basket to make BASKETBALL!!!!!
I want to move there. I feel like this country is perfect. I believe in equality for everyone and I am currently trying to get my degree... makes me want to enroll in one of Canada's colleges to move and be part of this amazing country... if only it was that easy
Where did you get these facts, they are all BS. I've lived in Canada all my life and this is all not true. I sounded like you went to the click bait web site and got it off that
The countries with the most highly educated citizens are also some of the wealthiest in the world. The United States, Japan and Canada are on our list and also have among the largest GDPs. Norway and Australia, also featured, have the second and sixth-highest GDPs per capita, respectively.
Canada is a beautiful rich an d powerful country full of the most different varieties of people and ethnicities, people in mostly educated and interesting but they have such a strong character and personality, they are also people who respect nature and environment and are very close to their environment. What is admirable is the way they respect their laws and they are inclusive with disabled people. And exactly why they are very educated people they are open minded and tolerant as well, you gotta love Canada!
Canada also invented poutine, baseball, basket ball, the telephone, inculin, and much more. Crazy what we've done for such a small population.
Zelda Master And the telephone, basketball, baseball
Yeah we rock! I wouldn’t be able to live without Poutine😅
James Smith You’re wrong at 50%. Because Canada invented Poutine, but not chips lays. Chips lays have been invented by the United States of America.
I think you mean Old Dutch chips... Lays is an American brand. Although "All dressed" and "Catsup" are uniquely Canadian flavours.
And Nanaimo bars. Don't forget our blessed treat
