They also didn't mention the fact the Greeks are occupying misappropriated Turkish Titles and they are guilty of human atrocities against the Turkish Cypriots. You also failed to mediate these facts. What kind of people would knowingly support terrorist and perpetrator of such crimes against humanity.
Really bad research and a lot off mistakes. Some examples the Photo of mount Olympus is the one in Greece and the photo used for Nicosia the capital is from Nicosia the city in Sicily Italy...

Two community did actually live in peace before 1940-50s. Everything started of with the 'ENOSIS' idea, regardless turkey and US had a secret plan or not. Whoever started this ENOSIS idea, they simply did not want to share the island. All the following was complete reckless ideas; i) ENOSIS, ii) the way the British empire controlled the situation and, iii) turkey invasion. Whether all this was avoidable? THERE WAS NOT EVEN A SINGLE PERSON WITH THE QUALITIES TO AVOID THIS. Lots of innocent people (cy turkish, cy greek, british) lost their lives. Survivors had to start from scratch. Who is suffering now?

Also the humidity will be low, so you can enjoy some amazing views, not just blurry horizons, also all this party going noisy youth will be gone, so it will quite and relaxing rythims.
Your Alpha Dude happy journey, hope you make millions of good memories!:)
Im a cypriot you will love our country :3
I recently spent two lovely weeks with a friend and her daughter in a beautiful villa in the hills, south of Polis near the village of Akourdalia. We arrived quite late so it was difficult to take in much detail but I remember how clean and fragrant the air smelled. On the first full day we drove to Polis. On the way I noticed a good many roadside trust stalls stocked with oranges and watermelons. Oranges were two euros for a large bag of twenty or so. You simply left the money in a small box next to the fruit. A couple of days later we were visiting Kourion which is utterly spellbinding. While there I read and saw a great deal about something called civilization. My mind drifted back to the oranges by the roadside and the degree of trust and respect such businesses rely on and the single word that seemed to fit Cyprus so very well sprang to mind. Civilized.

Love ancient orthodox Greece from wonderful ancient orthodox Ethiopia!!!
@@ssssly34 nope. Simply wrong. The population is 80% greek and 18% Turkish. The most spoken language is Greek. The government is Greek. The name Cyprus is Greek. The culture, music, and food is Greek, but in the subcategory of Cypriot. Greeks have lived there and greek has been spoken there before turks existed (they are descended from the ancient Altaic tribe of Xiongu, closely related to Mongolians, modern Turks are direct descendants of ottoman Turks, who came from one of the tribes of the Seljuks in central/western Anatolia, after they entered Anatolia (modern day Turkey, then divided among Greeks Armenians Assyrians and Kurds) for the first time in 1071. The Seljuks came from the oghuz Turkic tribe which were the xiongu that came more west than the others. Until less than a thousand years ago there was not a single turk in Cyprus. Modern Turks dna is also now less Turkish and more Greek Balkan and Levant because of Slaves Harems and Jennisaries. You have no true claim of Cyprus.

Hei Dave! Really happy to hear that! 👌
great video.
Thanks Stephen!
Hi, my husband and "discovered" the Republic of Cyprus a few years ago and we have visited the south coast of the island several times since then. The only time we've ever noticed any sign of the conflict with Turkey was on arrival at the airport in Larnaca. There were armed soldiers patrolling the airport. So, my answer is "No, the conflict would not affect our decision to visit Cyprus". My impression is that the people of Cyprus would like their island to be integrated as it once was, with Greek and Turkish Cypriots living side by side. Such a shame to divide the country in this way.
Thank you !!!! For the video good research.
Thanks for the last videos !

Very nice video.
The video mainly focused on politics and conflicts that happened years ago or our laws, (which are not exactly like that!) Just look at the ending question.. Basically, we were misrepresented. Very little were mentioned about our heritage, our traditions, our traditional foods and the beauty of our country!! I wonder why... #notreally
Maria , I'll tell you why.... The Greeks have a terribke past and a terrible history with a terrible track record on human rights. They know full well that Greeks stole Turkish Culture and heritage, and so its a known fact you have no culture. As for laws, the south isn't recognised by the TRNC so you have no laws or territory. At the moment your occupying misappropriated Turkish land. They know you harbour black money and money laundering inviting Russian gangsters to deposit their proceeds and the EU has a big report on this to..... If you disagree I'm open to discussion and welcome your response.....

Of course they didn't because its not relevant. The Mycenaean were peasant farmers who settled after pre-historic men and after the Assryrians who named all those regions you mention. Then came the Persians and then the Byzantine who were Romans....

Turkey has made the 1974 July Intervention on the basis of London and Zurich Agreements since it is a guaranteur country like Greece and the UK. Because the above-mentioned countries have restrained to act together with Turkey in 1974, Turkey has made this legal intervention as Archbishop Makarios explained at the UN Security Council meeting after he left Cyprus. As a result of the legal intervention, the lives of innocent people regardless of their ethnic and national origin have been saved. Please remember the civil war after Bloody-handed Nicos Sampson coup de'ta rebel against the official President makarios, and killing and butchering so many Greek and Greek Cypriots each other.

Tropical? Does the term apply to Mediterranean islands?
not really, tho last year winter temperatures were at about 16-18C but I don't think it's tropical + it was one of the mildest winters in years
You also have to think that is dry there you are literally next to the desert, Show even though it's 16 or 20 Celsius it feels like 35, And this is October November December in might go down to Feeling like 20
No
No it has to 22.5 degrees of the Equator
I've heard it before I think it was about Mallorca. I don't know what americans understand as a tropical island though...
I went to Paphos in August. It was probably the best holiday abroad I've had in a long time. You could have mentioned the ancient ruins in Paphos. St John's Pillar was right behind our hotel and is extremely famous...dating back to the 4th century.
Either way, I love the island and it's people.
