As a 2024 110 v8 owner which I absolutely love and have had ZERO issues !! I always find it amusing with all the comments especially the negative ones…From people who have never driven one and probably never will cause they can’t afford one……. I have to say that RR probably has some of the best looking vehicles on the road today….You can spot one a mile away.. Whether you like them or not!!!!
I am one of the people you allude to who would never drive a new Defender. I could actually afford one although I could never justify it to myself. The reason? I do real expeditions around the world and an urban SUV like the new Def is utterly unsuitable. Hence I drive a 33 year old Defender which, in spite of its well known faults, will get me home again. I think JLR got it so wrong. They had the urban SUV space covered with other models and they should have pitched the new Def in the space now occupied by the Grenadier.
Ask consumer reports and JD Power for their most reliable vehicles. Land Rover is slightly above Jaguar in reliability! Fact! What else can I help you understand this evening?
@@Isovapor Do an overland expedition and you will understand what I'm talking about. I have returrned from 6 months travelling around southern Africa. There were a number of new Defs in urban centres like Cape Town but not a single one in remote regions. There must be a reason for that.
@@defendermodsandtravels I would be scared to take any Land Rover to the grocery store. Their reliability is well known to all Americans and unfortunately Americans know they are overpriced pieces of Shxt. Just look at their depreciation values if you don’t believe me. I’m not hating. I’m just stating! Cheers!
Unbelievable you can remember all that - as a Defender D250s 90 owner I appreciate all your detailed reviews - finally understand it all - cheers from Brisbane
I have had wonderful 2021 P250 Diesel 110 version through work. On 32" tires, used it on very rough tracks, crossed rivers etc and enjoyed every minute. After a 10 hour day with 7 hours of driving still fresh. It has run fairly well. Needed new pads and disks after 40.000 km (surprising given long distance driving), a new engine computer module at similar time (would not start otherwise), and a new suspension air bag after ca 150.000 km. The last is pretty good given the volcanic dust it is exposed to. Need to try out the 130 with the captain cheers.
Glad the Grenadier was mentioned, not sure why it was pronounced like it was? I looked at them but it doesn't drive as well as the Discover 3/4,.. let see how the refresh goes for it?
Thank you for making this - I'm looking at getting the 2024 Defender 110 and this provided me with a load of great information. Really well made video, thank you.
Great video, the music the whole way through was annoying - you only really need to use music during transitions or where something needs ‘emotion’ Thanks for pulling the info together nonetheless
Perhaps the most exciting new feature for 2025 are the new center console removable storage pockets. At 8:50 you demonstrate them. Is there a way you can spend a little more time creating a video specifically on this exciting new accessory? Do these have a part number somewhere on the part? Can they be ordered as replacement parts? I am looking forward to retrofitting these removable pockets to my 2020 center console. As of late September 2024, none of my three local Land Rover service centers have any information about these new parts.
Thanks for that, a great walk around and clear explanation of the new upgrades. I've not seen your content before but watching now and looking forward to previous and future videos.
Wait, so the new 2025 defenders come with a v8 instead of p300-p400, etc I have the P400 110 2024 brand new; should I trade it in for the 2025 or it's not worth it?
Still waiting for hands free driving. My BMW x-7 M60i is light years ahead of the top of the line defender. I sold it and still bought the Defender 130 outbound X-Dynamic fully loaded but, I’m almost wishing I had waited. BMW technology is much ahead . I just love my styling of defender, and off road abilities, but wish it had more options. In the USA couldn’t get diesel either.
@@hughmarcus1you must not have ever driven the BMW X7 M60i. It is an incredible handling vehicle. Speed technology looks, design. I agree that it is more of a road vehicle and the defender blows it away in off road capabilities. Love to see a combination of the two if it would be possible though.
The model changes are bizarre. V8 you get 100 bhp less than the older one, the PHEV is way slower 0-60 and no P400 petrol. I ordered the D350 even though I really wanted petrol…
Id sooner have the BMW X5 5.0e plug in hybrid. The interior is too agricultural. I m sure this vehicle can't be too far off a major exterior facelift so if I were thinking of one I would wait for the big update.
Dreadful tacky stuff, and oooh slot that in and you get a key holder. Crikey what depths have we sunk to? I have owned landrovers for years and never needed a key pocket 😅 carpet? Rubber mats love 😊
Unreliability and rattles coupled with turbo problems as experienced by myself,I’m sorry makes it a heap of crap on 4 wheels , pity as it’s awesome off-road but all the problems outweighed these features

A lot of jealous people I bet the people who talk about reliability will buy these if the prices were affordable for them

I have a 2021 Defender V6 4-door. Excellent. Great. Amazing. Nearly perfect vehicle in all respects.
Which engine is V6?
Great video. I’m looking forward to my 2025 defender arriving next month 🎉

I'm currently waiting on delivery of my Grenadier, which IHO is the true heir to the Defender legacy. Nice to hear your mention of it.
Glad the Grenadier was mentioned, not sure why it was pronounced like it was? I looked at them but it doesn't drive as well as the Discover 3/4,.. let see how the refresh goes for it?
Aren’t they also really expensive?
This is such a great video, thanks for taking the time to make it.

Same. Are you going to wait for the big screen as standard?
i never comment on youtube but this was really high quality content. you have got yourself a sub and well done!
Great information! Love the vibe of the video.
Sweet Review - Best I've seen, Well done. Quick question was the best engine the D350 or the Petrol 425
Thank you for your excellent detailed info - appreciated.
Is the bed flat when you put the second and third row down?
My 2020 L663 P400 has 34,569 miles and has been cross country from Atlanta to NYC and to Eureka, California with no problems. Change your oil.
Brilliant video. Do the captains chairs on the 130 fold flat with the 3rd row chairs?
Great content delivered well .
Cheers 👍🏻
Love this review...planning on reviewing the Octa any time soon?
Can’t wait to get mine!
Best SUV out there..
Another informative video so proud of you bro 🙌🏿
Very informative and detailed!
Great video, the music the whole way through was annoying - you only really need to use music during transitions or where something needs ‘emotion’
Thanks for pulling the info together nonetheless
The editing needs lots of improvement in the transition, and the background music is distracting
Excellent…I’m subscribing 💯‼️
That scenery...wow.
Excellent review

How’s the petrol P300e to drive? Sufficient power for such a large car when battery runs out? What’s the power from the motor versus the battery?

Quality work.
Very very well informed video..!! Thank you.
Good video man 👍
this review would have been a lot better without the terrible loud background music,
So, this is the UK version? Will the updates to the interior for the screen and UCB-C carry over to the US as well?
So what I understand , there will be three engines V8 , 630hp with 4.4 L , 500hp and 425 Hp ?!!! It’s weird to have three v8 engines , am I right ?
@10.17......The Lexus 460 had that arrangement with the 'Captain seats' to rear seats a couple of years back.....Fact 🤭
Defender ate Dicovery's lunch....the whole of it!🎉😢👍
Thanks for the info
Good vid thanks
Isn't there a soft closing rear gate added for 2025?

Captain's chairs have been with Ford Explorer for yrs
Does the sun roof open?
It does, Yes!
I was waiting to hear what the changes are but must have missed them?
Removing the Land Rover emblem is a BIG MISTAKE! 😢
Bro looks like the British Odell Beckham Jr
How tall are you again I missed that ?
Bro, I can't hear u. The music is load !
😍😍 manifesting bro
The Wilkes brothers will be spinning in their graves!!! No longer a work horse!!!!

No adaptive cruise? I have that in mine (2023 D300) - The diesel is fantastic by the way :D
Sorry I meant just hands free driving. USA does not have diesel models
X7? A car with big wheels, nothing more.

Great! Land Rover succeeded in making a soccer mom van, at least we still have Ineos Grenadier to fulfill our need for outdoor adventures.
go back to your mini cooper - renowned for off-road adventures right?
lol
LIVE everything about TGT Defender except for its 6 notorious rep for bring faulty.. Till the tenancy their QC..... Not touching any LR RR SUV

Both of my trims gone! Hakuba exterior, tan interior
2025 new features start at min 5:30
That background music is too loud and very annoying. Can't hardly hear what you are saying.

The music is not needed Bruv . Couldn’t watch the whole video 🤦🏽♂️
I disliked for the too loud background music hardly could listen to what you said. Had to open subtitles. Too irritating bc
I don’t miss a day a week kislux This show..

No, in the end, the 2025 Defender will be in the dealer service garage just as much as earlier models.
It’s a Pretender
No that’s the ineos
Mate I think you dragged that out a bit. But very informative. Odd note, I have both the new spare wheel locking thing and a cover on mine…
