      Thank you much Ray! I’m being totally honest, a 51 yard shot, quartering away, right behind the rib cage into the boiler room. Amazed me too! I’m a good shot out to 45 yards, and this guy was at 51 out in an open field. I just had to try, so I aimed a little high with my 45 yard pin, and the arrow flew true. It didn’t go through the deer so tracking was a little difficult, not much of a blood trail, but I found him really not too far away from where I shot him. So sad I didn’t get it on film. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Good morning Scott. Loved this video. When you fished the East branch was the dam inn just down the road? I’ve fished that area. But the best fishing I’ve done was down stream from the paper mill small road south by a gas station floated all the way to ridge way. Caught the largest brown on large dry crappy rainy day just blind casting along the bank about a mile from ridge way. I’m going to fish the broad head at a few of the parks north of Stroudsburg. Good luck with the pheasants. I use to raise German short hair pointers. Thank again for the video.

    • @pawoodsnwater7551
      @pawoodsnwater7551  Год назад +1

      Hey Michael! I really don't know how close we were to the dam. We did check out that dirt road behind the gas station, but flows were pretty low there, so we didn't fish it. Actually, just got back from our warmup pheasant hunt, dogs did great, but the older guy, 12 years old, was beat, he still flushed the most birds though. the younger boy found most of the birds. I think they had a personal understanding on the way there, "I'll flush, you retrieve". HA!! Appreciate you watching and commenting.

    That big sycamore tree to your right in this video is now uprooted and fell across the riffle were you caught the small trout. I have been watching the point where that sycamore tree is and the dirt and creek bank in front and behind it has been eroding for years. It finally fell over and has a huge root ball in the air

    • @pawoodsnwater7551
      @pawoodsnwater7551  Год назад

      Hi Rodney! Well, don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing, sometimes it impedes the flow and ruins a great drift, sometimes it creates depth. But I hear ya, I’ve witnessed the same thing on other streams too, good thing is, it creates a better holding area and safety for the fish. Appreciate watching and commenting.

    Scott, How does the fight on Clarion compare to that of Upper Delaware with similar flow volumes?

    • @pawoodsnwater7551
      @pawoodsnwater7551  Год назад

      Hello Carl! the flow on the Clarion compared to the Upper Delaware, at the same cfs is much faster and tougher to wade. Very different streams and gradient and structure. The Clarion, I give a 6 or 7 out of 10, the Delaware is definitely a 10/10. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Hey Scott,
    Just wanted to congratulate you on filling up those deer tags.
    I was also was wondering if you do well at all with an October caddis or a tan caddis pattern throughout this time of the year?
    I can only speak for myself when I say this, but I seem to do much better with a smaller tan rather than a much larger October caddis in most of the streams here in eastern Pennsylvania.

    • @pawoodsnwater7551
      @pawoodsnwater7551  Год назад

      Hello buddy! I experience the same, better luck with tan or the hares ear soft hackle but only some success with the October Caddis dry or soft hackle, probably because they’re not as distributed on as many streams, seems the little tan or olive caddis are everywhere. Appreciate you watching and commenting.

      @d.j.hopkins4925 Год назад

      I know they stock fingerlings in the clarion, but not all stocked trout are non fertile. The conditions of the clarion river have improved tremendously! With the amount of bug life and water temperatures, coupled with fisherman releasing their catch more often, I truly believe that rainbows are reproducing there and in many other streams in PA.
