I was in Bosnia when BB King came to entertain the troops. I was the Officer in Charge of his PSD (personal security detail). He came to Eagle Base and gave an almost 4 hour show. He cmae out, just put it all out on the stage for an hour and a half, then had to take a break and lay down on the floor on an Army sleeping mat to stretch his back and rest. He got up and went to the stage and just beat hell out of that guitar until I thought it would break or melt, and performed for almost 2 hours. The man said repeatedly, he admired, and loved, the US Army soldiers for what they did. His band was more tired than he was when it was over!!! The man was an American Treasure folks! For this old dog face soldier, and a jazz trumpet player, I love the man. Hell of an American folks! A total pro. A total musician, and Patriot. And to shred this Ray Price classic, for a boy from Texas? Amazingly wonderful, thoughtful. He added it in the second half of the show at my request. What a human.
B.B. King - guitar, vocals Leon Warren - guitar Mike Doster - bass Calep Humphrey - drums Eugene Carrier - keys James Bolden - trumpet Edgar Synegal - sax Walter King - sax
James is actually my uncle(gruncle really), he's nice, really nice, just a happy old man, he's really bummed he can't go out and play with the rest of the band, he practices really hard for hours a day, I would actually be in foster care if him and his wife didn't take me in!
When the ev'nin', ev'nin sun goes down You'll gonna find me (at the parlor) somewhere hangin' around (I said at the parlor) night life yeah It ain't no good life but it's my life yes All the people, just like you and me Everybody is dreaming, dreaming about how it used to be Night life, oh it ain't no good life Ay, but it's my life Oh listen to the blues people Listen to what they're saying Yeah listern to the blues, people Listen to the way they're playing Heaven please send all mankind Understanding and peace of mind If its not asking too much Please send me someone to love, someone to love Show the world how, show them how to get along Please my leader, when the hate is gone So if it's not, oh-oh, asking too much Please send me someone to love, please send me someone to love Nights I've been awake On the world's struggle My answer is always the same Last man rolling in to the stem of the sin April for the world and the play was the same Please send me someone to love
I See this on RUclips and it is so impressive. the talking trumpet is wonderful magic. But I remember the concert in Tempodrom in Berlin in the 90ties when BB King blew my mind and off my feet. Seeing BB King live changed my life
Agreed, so let me suggest the nicks concert for you. Just type "BB King nicks" at search engine here in youtube. You'll love the Sax on "Never make your move too soon" and also the bass on "Better not look down".

Was listening to a Terry Gross interview with Willie Nelson in which he talked about writing three pretty good songs in one week when he was working as a DJ in LA, Night Life, Funny How Time Slips Away, and. Crazy. Not a bad weeks work. And BB took it to amazing places. I miss him
BB KING YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MY IDOL SINCE I,WERE A LITTLE BOY I STARTED PLAYING THE GUITAR CAUSE ILOVED HOW YOU MASTERED LOUCILLE...REST IN PEACE,BB KING KING OF THE BLUES,BB REST IN PEACE..MJ
Always loved that bitter sweet song and had it on the repertoire with my blues band. BB King is a true story teller both on guitar and with his voice. He is the best!
Just...Wow. i did a mid-size club stage security gig for him one night in the mid 80's and drank beers with the man and his band afterwards. One of the highlights of my life. He was a total yeoman all class, who liked Heineken and had the biggest softest hands i ever saw.

They all deserve their recognition. Thanks for posting.
@@wepimpchimpin7799 God bless him! I love his solos on B.B.'s live performances. His joy of music is contageous
B.B.'s guitar playing in his prime was nothing short of the best of the best blues player of all time.
eh let's not go crazy
B. B. King should be taught in all academies of music. He's most similar to Louis Armstrong--majestic, magnificent, inevitable singing and playing.
🥰🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
True that
Agreed. Louis Armstrong of the guitar.
Written by Willie Nelson, sang by B.B.King, two legends !!
Ray Price did a fantastic cover of this song as well!

You'll gonna find me (at the parlor) somewhere hangin' around
(I said at the parlor) night life yeah
It ain't no good life but it's my life yes
All the people, just like you and me
Everybody is dreaming, dreaming about how it used to be
Night life, oh it ain't no good life
Ay, but it's my life
Oh listen to the blues people
Listen to what they're saying
Yeah listern to the blues, people
Listen to the way they're playing
Heaven please send all mankind
Understanding and peace of mind
If its not asking too much
Please send me someone to love, someone to love
Show the world how, show them how to get along
Please my leader, when the hate is gone
So if it's not, oh-oh, asking too much
Please send me someone to love, please send me someone to love
Nights I've been awake
On the world's struggle
My answer is always the same
Last man rolling in to the stem of the sin
April for the world and the play was the same
Please send me someone to love

No one played more live shows and man what a sound with feeling Mr King and his band brought!
A classic blues song by a man who epitomizes the term, "blues with a feeling"! And his supporting players are top-notch, too!
As a professional musician this is the best rehearsed band live; I've ever seen or heard.

I always connect this and John Lee Hooker's Whisky and Wimmen because he laments "Nightlife, whisky and Wimmen" as taking it all away from him.
