Thanks for this drill! Love your emphasis on maintaining mobility and control, not just focusing on attacking

Going to start doing this. As a heavyweight my game is normally just mount, pressure and no movement. But i want to learn to be quicker, sharper and more dynamic. Thanks.

Ï always thought there were a deep connexions between bjj and salsa dancing, now you have definitely proven it " take one step back and two steps forward " . Thank you for your awesome drils.

there is a connection between fighting and dancing, which are timing and intetion, in a dance you want to follow your partner's timing or make him follow yours and the intetions are determined by the music and choreography while in a fight you should not let your opponent impose their timing to you and the intetions are dynamic(throw, get to mount, armbar, punching, clinch with knee strikes, set up a combination that ends in a spinning hook kick...)

I know it's late but I would like to see more movement drills. I've been teaching a class at our gym one day a week, and have been expressing the importance of knowing the types of control. Attacking, moving, and heavy pressure. These past couple of weeks have on movement to open people who play closed games.

Hey Aaron, I have my first tournament in 3 weeks. Do you have any videos on any tips? Not sure how to game plan or if I should just let it fly. It’s a grappling industries tournament.

Mac as corny as it sounds just have fun. It’s your first one so you’re going to have a nasty adrenaline dump most likely. One of my favorite things to think before a tournament is “after this life continues the way it always has, I go back home, back to life, back to work.” It makes me realize I don’t need to put so much pressure on myself.
