  • MUST KNOW GI CHOKES FROM KNEE ON BELLY //
    In this video I go over a bunch of chokes from the knee on belly, cross chokes, ezekiel, baseball bat.
    Knee on belly is a very advantageous position and can be beneficial when you lack strength.
    These are chokes that in my opinion are fundamental from the position.

    The most marvelous feature of baseball choke is unexpected timing

    Hi Aaron, when attempting the baseball choke, do you look to place the hand going palm up in the opponents gi first? so the other hand is free to post out if the opponent turns into you? thanks

    • @aaronbenzrihembjj6014
      @aaronbenzrihembjj6014  3 года назад

      Really depends. I would ideally do that but if it so happens my other hand is there first I’ll take it

    I am studying every single video you've posted. I have no idea where to start, should I focus on single leg x or go to de la riva or reverse de la riva. So many options and moves in bjj.

      Mac first off thanks so much for the support! Second, I’m not sure, depends on your personal experience... is probably start with some escapes and passing if I was more beginnerish and then if I had more experience wherever fits your game best! Oss

    Hey this is kind of irrelevant but why should we pull guard if it creates bad instinct for a real fight

    • @aaronbenzrihembjj6014
      @aaronbenzrihembjj6014  4 года назад

      MaadLuck that’s a tricky question. I think the essence of a guard pull is more rooted in sport. Sometimes if a guy is much bigger in a self defense scenario, they may take you down in which case you better hope your guard is good.

      @@aaronbenzrihembjj6014 wouldnt it be in my best interest to stand back up at that point? I'm considering stopping bjj for that but I'm not sure it Is fun but it is silly to think id be doing this outside

    • @MaadLuck
      @MaadLuck 4 года назад

      @@JiujitsuFIIT lmaooo all it takes is one extra person regardless of their skill to stop me from doing any ground fighting, and bjj only does ground work so what's the point? I'm wondering if I should quit cause of real life fights, I dont much care for sport

      @@MaadLuck Just learn some takedowns then. You shouldn't even be fighting irl anyway. It's dumb.
