- of course Chubby had to be underneath the truck Kibitzing as usual making sure I got the job done right. I even had to cut down 4 bolts that would have hit the housing of the gear case. I show what a bottle of brake fluid looks like after it went through the lines when bleeding the brakes. It was pretty rough doing it by myself but it had to be done.

Nice work Larry and a job well done! Thanks for the video, Slim.
well it took a little twisting and turning plus cutting bolts dow with a hacksaw but Chubby was no help.
Well done and not an easy job !!!!
Thanks I am a little sore today but not too bad considering the amount of twisting and turning under the truck but at leasy that hooks the drive wheels in the front still need a short axel for the PTO and another shaft for the 4 wheel drive.
Well done Larry, not an easy job all by yourself. I once fitted an auto trans onto my old ford LTD by myself using a trolly jack. After a lot of swearing I finally got it in lol. Great video
Yes if I could figure out a way to rig it I would have used my floor jack but as it was I sat the drive shaft on my chest then I was able to lift each end in position put a couple bolts in to act as pins until I got the right size bolts in place. So it worked took me a couple hours because I had to hacksaw the bolts to the right length. You can do anything if you work out a system. Thanks for watching Frank.
Good update. Always nice to have brakes. PTO's can be fun. First full time job I had was working and oil company Chomko Bros. We got a new truck shortly after I started working there and it was fun hooking the PTO up to the pump. We also had a PTO on my dad's 47 or 49 Alison Chalmers that we used to pick up the plow. That was a great little tractor. What's the weather like out your way? Happy Motoring.
The weather is sunny and going to be 63 tomorrow. It was 59 today. Always working on something. But now at least I have hooked up the drive axel so I can at least run the Truck. But I really have to make sure these brakes work well before I hit the street.
Good job Larry, maybe you could have laid it on a floor jack to get it close to where you needed it?
yes I could have rigged something with the floor jack but that would be in the way too.
Larry,
When will you start building the ramp?
Regards,
John
Well I still have a lot of work to do before I take this up to the Bonneville salt flats for speed week. Ramp? Ramp? I don't need no stinkin ramp.
Larry,
No ramp? How do you expect to jump 8 buses with that puppy? Don't you want to WOW the adoring crowd...Larry Knieval and all that?
Regards,
John
