  • in this video I start and run the engine Ron tries to Adjust the idle and finally does it. Choke is partially pushed in. I rev it up just to see how it would sound. With such a huge engine it really doesn't get very hot. Tested with my thermal gun and the engine was 174 degrees and the exhaust manifold was 300. No leaks in any lines not radiator hoses or gas lines.
Pretty soon it will be ready for Bonneville speed week August 3 to 8th.
A lot of the smoke came from burning oil and grease off the engine and the other smoke was burning off Marvel mystery oil i had put in the cylinders. Oh yes also noticed the generator was charging fine the meter even worked. The couple backfires was due to air being sucked through vacuum lines going to the windshield wipers.
