Congratulations and welcome to the M37 Club. Have mine for about 12 yrs and it has never failed me. Daily driver with original 231 flat head and original gears. 55 MPH on the freeway all day. I am glad to find your page and have to say that your videos are awesome. Great information delivered in an outstanding fashion. I saw you mentioned Powerwagons for parts, I also source my parts from a great shop in the Midwest called midwestmilitary. Great guys. Not affiliated with them, but wanted to pass the info along. I am at Episode 1 and look forward to binge on your videos tonight.

Thanks! I hope you enjoy the progress on the build! Mine couldn't make it up past 25mph when I bought it, due to many factors of age and disrepair. Although it's not a faithful "back to original" restoration, I am trying to maintain the spirit and utility of the truck. Good call on recommending midwestmilitary, I've sought them out for the original and reproduction seals later on in the series and they have been very good to work with. All the best, Dave

Good Morning, great video - I am assuming you will probably have to replace some items. Where have you looked? I have a 1953 M37 that I pretty much will have to do what you are doing. Take care and good luck!! Can't wait to see more of your progress.

Thanks! So far i've sourced a lot of my newer parts through rockauto and amazon. As far as the older stuff, I have a couple donor trucks to help. For stuff outside of what I have, i'll have to likely go to vintagepowerwagons for the hard to find old stuff. Cheers

Hi Dave, after many months of all sorts of life issues/situations/deliberations and a move to AK from MD, I am finally able to say that the M37 that I have, I will be moving the truck into a covered shelter where I will be able to work on it starting in the summer. Thank you for the information on where to get parts. I will be reviewing all your other videos for all your progress. Wish I could say I have the in depth knowledge of tearing it down and rebuilding so I think that my rebuild process will take much longer. Did you have to get a technical pub for any issues that you encountered?

I got an original 1952 U.S. Army Dodge 3/4t 4x4 M37 8 months Ago and finally got it running on my 35 part of my rebuild. The Army used it as a parts vehicle even the drive shafts were removed.
