The reason I'm here is just because of the grip and half the video is talking about the grip. Thank you for making this video, it made my mind up for hopping on to the R10
I bought a Tilta expansion baseplate for my R50, and it makes it feel so much better in my hands. I like the R50 a lot, and it carries nicely as modified. When I sorted out that I'm going to need another camera view for the upcoming studio work, I considered buying another one. However, I found a great deal on a Canon-refurbished R10 (my R50 is a Canon refurb as well), and it's on the way. Looks like I won't need a base plate for it should I decide to take it into the wild. One thing that gets overlooked a lot in reviews is the R10 has a control joystick, a sort of throwback to earlier Canon DSLRs like my 7D, 40D and 5D. Very useful, especially for a person who got used to having it.
Some notes: They changed the hot shoe! Just try using one of your external flashes and it won’t work because the contacts have been removed! Also, the R50 grip is designed so you can easily hold the camera facing you. The R10 is not. Try it!
At that point, the price would be the same, while adding size and wight to the R50, wich are basically its main pros (cheaper, smaller, lighter). So I would just buy the R10 instead of both the R50 and a cage.
That’s definitely the most important difference by far! You won’t know until you feel it. I’ve been doing photography for 30 years and trust me that’s way more important than other specs.

So, for the average video creator, do you think they would be happy with the R50? I have the Canon g7x and I love it, but I would like something a little more updated and newer. The only thing is, with the G7x, it goes to 1.8 aperture and is really good in low light. I don't see any lens that would go on the R50 that has a 1.8 aperture, or maybe there is one out there. Do you have any recommendations? I enjoyed the video, thank you!
Hello, I need to shoot a video of the assembly of the constructor (shoot many, many hours) from a distance of about 2 meters. Take off your hands as you collect small parts. Canon P10 with 18-45 mm suits me. ? Thank you.

The grip feel and ergonomics are really important to me. Thanks for covering them better than others do.
Thanks for focusing on the grip. That was the one thing holding me back from the R50. You've convinced me to invest in the R10.

Were you referring to the r10 when you said you were blown away by how fast it focuses on birds?
do you have autofocus hunt on R10 when shooting video? or the performance is the same as R50

Yeah, I noticed there were no electronic connections on the hot shoe. It was basically a cold shoe.
@@Michael_Relevant in which one? The r50 o the r10?
@@drjoelsanchez The r50
Can chose R10 over R50 for videos esp of birds? And the R50 has some more stabilisation included. Bit confused mate.
Very helpful, thanks. I think the R10 is the one I may go for since it's just a little more than the R50 (at least at the time of this comment)
I really hope someone comes out with a camera cage for the R50, it desperately needs one for that grip

Dude you wasted half of this video on the freaking grip i am leaving!!!

How has nobody addressed the rolling shutter issue
Doesn't the R50 do that automatic photo stacking?
Which one is best
R10
I would prefer the R50 only because it is so small.

What did you end up doing, I am in the exact same dilemma right now with my g7x. I'm trying to decide if they R10 is worth the extra money.
@@JuanderBoyMusichaven’t bought anything yet, but I would prob Do the R10 definitely.
@@TheLindseyDara yep, might as well. Thanks 🙏

Yes, definitely
what camera you use to record?
R6
Hello, how are you? Could someone help me which one is better for photographs, please? change the image quality with the canon r10? Thanks
Same sensor same photo quality
Got a R50 and no better than my 10 year old camera and it went back, so sad
Which camera is better the Canon EOS R50 or the S23 Ultra ?
Probably the phone.
Why no samples???
I have other videos with samples they would be exactly the same. The body is the only real difference.
Hello, I am using a Canon R10. When I put it in the battery charger, it gets hot. Is this normal?
I never understood the point in liking a comment if you wouldn't bother answering.
entre la Rp y la R10 cual elegir?
So, Can't I use other flash in the r50?
No, I don’t think so
Buy an adapter
