I own an R10 and loving it. Btw, hands down the best R7-R10 comparison video out there, and not to mention the overall video and production (and audio) quality! Great work!
You have to remember there isn’t a small difference in price between the R10 and R7 but a big leap (R10 body is £899 and R7 body is £1449 in the UK) And no camera will make a dull boring subject look amazing. I’d save the money for Canons ridiculously priced RF lenses and accessories.
Great informative, yet ‘down to earth’ style video. I've ordered an R10 with 18-150mm lens now instead of R7 as there is so little difference in most scenarios of my photography as confirmed by what you have demonstrated. Look forward to watching lots more of your videos to continue to learn and confirm ive made the right choice(s). admit am little worried about using third party lenses via adapter but will read up on what other real users experience have used. A Setup and advised settings video would be great to see for an R10 now.
Mark, You mention looking for higher quality lenses that will perform well on the R7, with it's ultra high resolution sensor. I can't help with RF glass, but Canon put out a list of lenses they recommended for the 50MP 5DS and 5DS-R, back when they introduced those cameras. That might serve as a useful guide of what EF glass would adapt best on the R7. It's a minor thing for many people, but you didn't mention that the R10 has a built-in, pop up flash (though it's pretty anemic). The R7 doesn't have a built-in flash (which may help with its weather resistance). Overall, a very interesting comparison! I wasn't aware the R10 didn't close the shutter to protect the sensor when the lens is removed! Shame on Canon for that. That should be a standard feature on all mirrorless, IMO. I noticed the size and weight of the R7 early on. In fact its footprint is so close to that of several of the full frame models, I was best disappointed Canon didn't make the R7 compatible with the BG-R10 battery grip they use. The capacity of the batteries may not concern you, but shooting sporting events I sometimes take 3000, 4000 or more shots in a day. And I want to do as few battery changes as possible. I also like the vertical grip itself and the secondary controls, shooting a lot in portrait orientation, and so use battery grips on all my DSLRs. Anyway, thank you for the very thorough and well presented comparison Mark. I'm sure a lot of people will find it quite useful!
Thank you this was super helpful. I was thinking I needed the R7 for the IBIS and higher MP sensor but it seems like with an IS kit lens it’s not going to make significant difference. Also I have tiny hands so the R10 might work out better in that regard, plus it’s more travel sized and leaves a bit of budget left for an extra battery and the converter mount so I can use my old lenses.
Hi Mark, I've been using the Canon R10 and the stabilization is just horrific. I was recently shooting with the 24-105 RF lens, with stabilization turned on, digital IS OFF, and it has a very strange IS problem. The camera starts to TRACK the object in the image, instead of stabilizing against hand movement. For example, I'm filming someone pressing a gas pedal, holding the camera very steady, and when the pedal is pressed and released, the image moves back and forth, along with the pedal. I'm not moving the camera, but the IS system tracks it, even though it's supposed to be optical IS. Have you encountered this? The only way to fix it, is to turn IS off completely, not even on the lens. Even my old Canon T7i with the cheap kit lens it came gave me better results. I'm surprised I'm not finding more videos about how useless this camera is when it comes to filming anything hand-held.
My m50 mkii w/ Tt artisan manual lenses has made me money. It with an ef to efm adapter, partnered with some premium sigma lenses has made me a little side money. You can get good images out of almost any modern camera.
Just a side note here (2 years later....) Michael the Maven (You Tube channel name) has a rather good reference chart for the lenses that will resolve the full mp count of the R7, M6, and 90D sensor. It is also listed in his Facebook group. He has personally tested some and crowd sourced some others, but he is very transparent about the results. I own the R7 and I agree with the majority of the findings from the results I get with the lenses I own. Of course a lot of the lenses are EF L lenses and need to be adapted, but the new RF lenses are starting to be listed
After watching this video, I bought an R10! Getting excellent photos with the 18-45 kit lens! The 18-150 kit lens is on the way! Will probably get a nifty 50 for portraits! Helluva upgrade from the M50! Thanks for the videos 👍
After trying both the cameras i think the r10 is a better buy. For twice the price I expect better build and weather sealing, buffer, autofocus, rolling shutter
Mark, you've provided a very clear and thorough comparison! I'm getting into macro photography, with flash. My Canon 7D Mark II has a fast drive mode of 10fps, but with the flash unit is too heavy, while my Canon T3 with flash is of lighter weight, but with meager fps. PLUS, I've back and hip pain to deal with when trying to deal with subjects (flowers/insects) low to the ground. SO - I've been considering a lightweight, mirrorless camera, not only for the weight factor, but also because my cameras don't have articulating screens - and it's difficult to focus via "Live view" when one is not at the same level as the camera. So- I've been considering the R10, however you say that the screen is "blurry" and not well lit -so I'm concerned about it's use for macro - what would be your recommnendation - without a humongous pricetag? It should be obvious all of my lenses have EF mounts, and my macro (Tokina ATX-i 100mm f2.8 FF) has an EF mount.
Thanks very much for the detailed review. I purchased the R7 for a specific reason because I invested heavily on the Canon glass (both EF & RF). The R7 give me a longer reach when using for wildlife. However, I likely wouldn’t buy the R7 if Canon announced the stoppage of 3rd party glass at the same time they unveiled the R7/R10. Also, I see it as a business decision Canon made and no others have the courage to make?
Mark, Am back watching again, considering the R10 as an inexpensive birding option paired with Canon zooms. And am hoping the rumors of more rf-s lenses coming soon are true. I owned the R7 for a year and would agree with your findings. Thanks
The one difference I did notice in high iso is that R7 does hold color information better than R10. R10 after 6400 starts getting a bit more magenta, especially in the blacks. And R7 still keeps more true to the tone.
Great review, I ordered the R7 with the Sigma 150-600mm and a friend has the R10 with the 100-400mm. I take more wildlife photos and they take more portraits. We will go to zoos together. We are looking forward to it, both switched from bridge camera to system camera. Lots of good tips, thank you. Greetings from Belgium
I have seen a number of reports of IBIS conflicting with the lens IS on the Sigma lenses, just heads up. If you google it you should be able to find more info.
I'm considering the R10 as an upgrade to my SL1. My only concern is that there are no third-party lenses available. This means that getting a macro, a telephoto, and 24 - 105 in the RF series will cost me about $CDN3500. I expect I would probably end up sticking with my EF series with the adapter for years longer as a result and having to live with the implications of that issue. My alternative is to just upgrade to an SL3 and wait for probably about a decade for Canon to decide to license the RF to third parties at a likely equivalent cost then upgrade to whatever is the equivalent of an R10 at that time. Given these scenarios, I could also just upgrade my phone to the iPhone 16 Pro for about $CDN800 with loyalty credits applied by my carrier.
i use canon m6m2, i was thinking to upgrade to r7. I will not do this because I do not want to use adapters. Canon does't have such cool lenses as sigma 18-50 2.8, tamron 17-70-2.8, viltrox 13 mm 1.4. I will wait for new Sony APS-C cameras
@@joandreas1490 if Canon hadn't neglected the M mount so much it would be a viable cheaper ecosystem for people... They're trying to be Sony with the "all cameras one mount" thing but forgetting the appeal of cheaper caneras also having cheaper lenses being a big purchase decision🤡
Great comparison video, thanks for sharing! Another fair point about R7 IBIS vs R10 no IBIS (for photos); realistically there are only 2 RF lenses without IS that APS-C shooters would consider: RF 16mm f2.8 and RF 50mm f1.8. All the other f1.8 / f2 primes have IS, and honestly who’s going to spend near $3k for an RF 1.2 prime on either of these cameras? Similar concept for RF zooms… other than the heavyweight 28-70 f2, literally every other native zoom has IS right? So basically if you can live without the 16m 2.8 and 50m 1.8, the R7’s IBIS has zero impact for pictures 🤯
i was scrolling thru the comments for exactly this information. but just to be doubly clear without all the photographer-jargon ... r7 IBIS/ image stabilisation has NO impact on birding/ wildlife photos so might as well save 500 bucks and go in for a r10?? please confirm soonest- buying one of these in this week :)
@@rumbo2263 hey, I haven't used an R7 yet however I have read the R7 does indeed have a slight improvement in image sharpness due to camera shake vs the r10, even though the 100-400 lens does most of the heavy lifting regarding camera shake. I'd guess it's maybe 0.5 to 1.0 stops improvement... Though tbh I'd really like to try it out in the real world as no one seems to have done that specifically! The R7 also has 40% more pixels, meaning its image has to be sharper else camera shake blur will appear more easily. Good luck with your decision. My vote would be with the R10 & put the funds toward a better lens... Maybe the EF 100-400?
Really a very nice informaion.many points helpedme here. One funny thought I have got. R10 and an action camera like Action 4 will cover all scenarios?
You get too hung up what the IBIS can't do. What it does with EF lenses such as the 400mm f/5.6L USM is stabilising the viewfinder quite effectively - I need the short shutter speed for moving subjects anyways but the composition and focusing becomes easier with it...
Great channel. I have followed you for years. I consider you the expert on everything EOS-M. My question is: Is the R10 a good replacement for the M5? A short bit of background: my main camera is a 5D2, which I use for paid work (yes, I'm still not sold on EVFs), and my travel cameras are the M5 and G5X. I know I should get something in the EOS-R, but I'm reluctant. As for my M5, I have the beautiful 22mm, the Sigma trio, and the fantastic 11-22mm, along with actually all the official EOS-M lenses from Canon, and I can't really see any replacement for some of them on the EOS-R just yet. I also like that the Canon batteries I have for my M5 fit the R10. In reality, I do find the M5 too small, as I run the 5D2 with battery grip and love the size and weight, but for travel, I can forgo the size. So what is a true replacement, in your view, for the M5?
26:00 - I've thought that the noise reduction in full frame Canons is fully controllable! I can completely switch off NR in my XT-3. One big con it has: no cheap 50mm AF fixes and no budget 18-150 analog. Really good and wide range zooms for Fuji are hell-expensive!
8:25 I'm not sure covering the sensor is a smart thing to do. The fact is that cleaning the sensor is now much easier than removing dirt from the shutter curtains.
25:40 - one of my Grandy's cameras! :) I've got an old lens from him recently, will test it fully when I'll get the adapter. Soviet lenses has their own interesting character with some major issues of course.
Some great thoughts in this video! I came searching for it after reading quite a recent... 5D3 vs 7D2 vs 90D thread on dpreview forums. At one point the commenters said why the hell bother if you can have a new r10 for almost the price 5D3 or 90D. I love your views on AF being the same and lack of IBIS not being a problem with stabilised lenses. I shoot Olympus E-M1 mark II and love the IBIS, but also have some EF lenses, so I'm tempted to look for a bargain R10 and adapt 70-300mm L white chunky boy to it😂
Since you mentioned other camera's at that price range, can you please do a comparison of the R10 vs the Z30? This will probably be more on the video side
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on these 2 cameras. Your review helped me decide which camera I wanted. I got a really good deal on the body and lens for the R7. Now it's time for accessories. Thanks again
thank you Mark for your information about the R10. I'm a nature photographer and I think I'll go for the R10! I now shoot my photos with a Canon M50 and a Sigma 150-600 con lens, and I must say this is going quite well for me! However, I want bird detection, and I don't have that on my m50, so!. I think this is the best choice!. Greetings Joop Sack from the Netherlands.
I have r10 and thinking to trade for r7 but thanks to this video i convinced i will keep my r10 and wait to sigma rf 18-50mm 2.8 😀 the down side is the ibis but i only do photography no video
Hi, i thinking about buying th r10. It would be great for beginner? I need it for events. Mostly indoor but also outdoor. And lighting is important to me. Overall it good?
Honestly, I’ve decided from r10 and r50, I have chosen the r10. As someone with small hands, I think the r10 is best for me. I also prefer the click of the r10
Thanks for the video! I'm trying to decide between the r10 or r7 with the 18-150mm lens, I plan on doing freehand macro shots as some of the types of photography I'd do with it. Would IBIS be of any benefit in that scenario? I wasn't really sure after watching your comparison whether or not it would and its the only feature the r7 has over the r10 that's really making me interested in it. I assume I'd be better served going with the r10 and putting the money I saved towards a better macro lens but I'd like to hear your thoughts.
Of course you are going to see them with the kit lenses, as they are pretty much the only native crop sensor glass for those. Shutting down third party lenses and then not making any yourself is a big middle finger to any customer..
With the animal eye AF I'm thinking the R7/R10 + RF 100-400 mm might be a fantastic combo for beginner bird/wildlife photography. Especially for the price.
@@markwiemels Not had any fujii yet. as tamron 150-500 got released for fuji x i might consider it above r7(long wait time + extra lens budget made r10 an easy choice)
A year Later your comments on IBIS explain why Sony decided not to include it in their new vlogging camera the ZVE-10 II. While a lot of reviewers are being critical of this so called "Missing feature" your comments show that for vlogging its likely not all the useful. But for video the Sony camera records the gyro data with the video so you can apply stabilization in post-production.
Outstanding video Mark, really appreciate your comporative points and particularly the bonus R7 vs. RP. You've really broken down exactly what I want to know when comparing cameras. Happy New Year! Happy Shooting!
The 32mp sensor also introduces defraction alot sooner than the 24mp sensor so if your stopping down your lens for landscape you might find its softer than at the same f stop on a lower mp sensor. Chris frost proved this by testing the 17-55 2.8 on a r7.
I have not done a side by side test, but I will. I suspect you there will be a noticeable difference at higher iso, but not lower, but that’s a guess. Tests and video to come.

Thanks for a very comprehensive review. I apologize for the length of this comment, but I thought I would share my experience. For several years, I loved my M6 II, which I used for birding with the Tamron 100-400 Di VC and Sigma 150-600C. But I upgraded to the R7, on the strength of its IBIS and bird-eye tracking autofocus. I also purchased the RF 100-500 as my primary birding lens. I have not been disappointed. Although the R10 was also a contender, I suffer from progressive neurological shake, and the IBIS cooperates well with lens OIS, which was a deal-maker for me. That said, a friend uses the R10, and his bird photos are exquisite so YMMV. As for the rear joystick/dial on the R7, I have come to prefer it because it falls naturally under my thumb and is easily re-assigned - I use the dial for exposure compensation and the joystick for cursor movement. The weather sealing, sensor curtain, larger battery, 32 MP sensor resolution, and dual card slots also justify the price premium IMO. I regularly shoot video for canine agility, and the absence of a 30 minute video limit is also an advantage, as is the 4K image-quality from the over-sampled signal - the M6 II also promises 4K, but the image is noticeably softer due to line skipping. Using the RF 18-150 for video, I find the IBIS helpful compared to the M6 II. I obviously have complaints: the slow read-out speed makes for rolling shutter, and the light-weight body makes for shutter shake. Both are easily avoided by using the mechanical or first curtain electronic shutter, respectively, which still provide an impressive 15 fps. I also wish the EVF had higher resolution, so I could better judge image quality in the field. But overall, I think that's its a stellar birding set-up, especially in its price range.
I'm about to buy my very first camera and the R10 is my choice so far. I just have doubts about canon itself, because they are not open for third party lenses and you have to buy the expensive canon ones. Thats the biggest deal breaker for me
They’re slowly opening to 3rd party with ASPC first. Sigma is releasing 5 lenses this year with the first just released and Tamron is also releasing some.
Hi there! Thanks for your vídeos! I've been watching some of your content that I've found quite valuable. Can you share your thoughts about where the EOS-M line stands today after the launch of the EOS-R 50, maybe a vídeo about it? Thank you for your time.
Hi Mark, can you please test the Kinokoo PU Leather Case for Canon EOS M6 Mark II, Walimex Pro easyCover for Canon EOS M, Kinokoo Silicone Case for Canon EOS R, and DiCaPac WP-S5 Outdoor/Underwater Bag, for example.
i think it's nonsense investing an aps-c camera for r7 too much, r10 is at the sweet spot for an aps-c. after r10 full frame at least r8 can be next step.
Im a fuji user... I might be switch to canon, but there is no lens for their apsc lineup :( So in the end id rather switch to sony)) Damnit autofocus :(
As excited I was to get the R7 for holidays the fact that they are clamping down on 3rd party lenses and the lack of native lenses selection really made me not consider the camera. Yeah I can get an adapter and pick other lenses but in reality I don't want to add that one more item. So my money will go somewhere else but not sure where yet
Would think that fuji x-s10 would be better than r10 if not doing anything quick or macro. s10 got 15 min as min shutter. Could mention fuji x-h2 being nearly a better upgrade to r10 than r7 on video alone. might want swap as adapter is pita on it at moment.
I would love to compare those cameras, if I can get my hands on an x-s10, I will. I don’t think there would be a straight winner, I think they would be better at different things.
I like the RF 35mm f1.8, good for lower light and gives a nice image. I have not tested the 24 f1.8, but it might be good, see if you can find a review of someone testing the 24 f1.8 on the R7.
It really depends the the scene, but I think 6400 in video and 12800 in photos is about as high as I would want to go. Yes they are better than the older cameras, but I think that is mostly image processing in the camera.
Can we trust your opinion on the best canon camera to use when you're not even using one to film this video.... Is the Fuji camera better than the canon? And by the way the affiliate link for your Portkeys PT5 II Touchscreen Camera Field Monitor is outdated and no longer available....
In a studio environment, with controlled lighting, almost any camera will do. In fact, in most cases you can’t tell them apart. Since I have the Canon cameras in the shoot, to talk about them, I’m not using them to recoded the video, that is why I included the video samples.
If I wanted a great video camera I would buy one why buy a sill camera to do video o think you just need a decent video I not trying to be a movie producer I think they should put more effort in making better sill I don't see alot of different in dslr than the mirror less cameras that was thay should be working on
Как говаривал один мой коллега: "Одновременно делать фото и видео - это всё равно, что заниматься сексом сразу с двумя женщинами ... которые находятся в разных комнатах".

i use canon m6m2, i was thinking to upgrade to r7. I will not do this because I do not want to use adapters. Canon does't have such cool lenses as sigma 18-50 2.8, tamron 17-70-2.8, viltrox 13 mm 1.4. I will wait for new Sony APS-C cameras
The R10 is something you can put a small *inexpensive* lens on, and well... 🥲
Bought m100 as travel camera for that reason. as ef-s 24 or rf-s used is simply not worth it.
@@joandreas1490
if Canon hadn't neglected the M mount so much it would be a viable cheaper ecosystem for people...
@@bruck177 👌
you mean the RF 100-400? or stick to EF ?
Really a very nice informaion.many points helpedme here. One funny thought I have got. R10 and an action camera like Action 4 will cover all scenarios?
You get too hung up what the IBIS can't do. What it does with EF lenses such as the 400mm f/5.6L USM is stabilising the viewfinder quite effectively - I need the short shutter speed for moving subjects anyways but the composition and focusing becomes easier with it...
Yes, it will help with that.
I just love this guy...he is a great teacher
I wish I would be able to buy a R7 here in Germany, But they are on backorder. I Have a order placed in May. No luck yet.
Side entry cards slot and linear pixel density of the R7, plus better evf and screen are winning points. Typo in the list, 1.62 million dot screen.
Considering what these costs, the nit picking issues should fall to the side. These options are competitive.
thank you Mark
for your information about the R10.
I am a beginner and I been looking for a light compact camara from cannon for travel and everyday use
Honestly, I’ve decided from r10 and r50, I have chosen the r10. As someone with small hands, I think the r10 is best for me. I also prefer the click of the r10
Great video and excelled presentation. As a possible R10 buyer it was extremely helpful. Many thanks.
A very interesting, and thought provoking feature. I am in the market and am tempted by the R7.
Excellent video! I am currently trying to determine which mirrorless camera to buy and this helped me considerably. Just subscribed.
Which one is better in low light high iso?
Great video! am an intermediate photographer looking to buy the R7, and will mainly be pairing it with the 70-300mm F4-5.6 L lens
Awesome, did you end up getting the R7? After watching the video I'm tempted to adapt the same lens on an R10. Would love to hear your impressions.
Of course you are going to see them with the kit lenses, as they are pretty much the only native crop sensor glass for those. Shutting down third party lenses and then not making any yourself is a big middle finger to any customer..
what a great video, i will love to have the R7 but here in Mexico R7 is a little bit expensive
Revisiting the video again ❤😊 man I love the size of the R10 but I know the R7 is for me maybe I should just get both 😂
With the animal eye AF I'm thinking the R7/R10 + RF 100-400 mm might be a fantastic combo for beginner bird/wildlife photography. Especially for the price.
keeping that 100-400 unless i suddenly swap to fuji 100-400. in low weight and pricing category it will be hard to beat.
@@joandreas1490 Never underestimate light weight. 😎😎👍👍
Agree.
@Joandreas I have the Fuji 100-400 and am considering the canon RF 100-400. What are your thoughts about how these lenses compare?
@@markwiemels Not had any fujii yet. as tamron 150-500 got released for fuji x i might consider it above r7(long wait time + extra lens budget made r10 an easy choice)
A year Later your comments on IBIS explain why Sony decided not to include it in their new vlogging camera the ZVE-10 II. While a lot of reviewers are being critical of this so called "Missing feature" your comments show that for vlogging its likely not all the useful. But for video the Sony camera records the gyro data with the video so you can apply stabilization in post-production.
Thank you for the amazing content. What do you prefer for content creation Fx30 or the R7?
What will help the R7 is a battery grip, Canon fumbled the ball during it's release.
Hello! Which flashlights should I buy for Canon EOS K7?
Another thing CanonR 10 doesn't have register recall Function which the R 7 have.
Thank you so much Mark for the comparison video, very informative for me! God bless you and good luck!
Good review Mark. I'm sure others have asked too, but how much better is the R10/R7 image quality (for photos, not video) compared to the M50?
I have not done a side by side test, but I will. I suspect you there will be a noticeable difference at higher iso, but not lower, but that’s a guess. Tests and video to come.
great video mark,
was going through the comments, but just to be doubly clear without all the photography-jargon ...
r7 IBIS/ image stabilisation has NO impact on birding/ wildlife photos so might as well save 500 bucks and go in for a r10??
please confirm soonest- buying one of these in this week :)
At longer focal lengths, with an image stabilised lens, it does almost nothing. So I would save the money and put it into a lens.
Congrats for this great video. Very useful!
How do you carry around that r7 all day? Its quite big
Thank you for this useful comparison 👍🏼👍🏼. Would have been useful to compare the kit lenses as well.
Thanks for the reminder, I need to make a video to compare the lenses.
But overall, I think that's its a stellar birding set-up, especially in its price range.
nice and great video on to the point from the very first second!
This comparison isn't fair because these are two different classes of cameras. It's like you'd compare Fiat Panda and Hinda Civic.
I know that its a year later, but the r10 can charge through usb-c
Hi there! Thanks for your vídeos! I've been watching some of your content that I've found quite valuable. Can you share your thoughts about where the EOS-M line stands today after the launch of the EOS-R 50, maybe a vídeo about it? Thank you for your time.
I will try to do this soon.
I wonder why canon makes their future camera mount so big that prevents them to make a compact camera in the future using that mount?
Yea, a bit disappointing. Having said that, the R10 is much smaller than I expected it would be.
Hi Mark, can you please test the Kinokoo PU Leather Case for Canon EOS M6 Mark II, Walimex Pro easyCover for Canon EOS M, Kinokoo Silicone Case for Canon EOS R, and DiCaPac WP-S5 Outdoor/Underwater Bag, for example.
Fantastic review, thanks you. I have just Subscribed!
Excellent review just what I needed.
i think it's nonsense investing an aps-c camera for r7 too much, r10 is at the sweet spot for an aps-c. after r10 full frame at least r8 can be next step.
Im a fuji user... I might be switch to canon, but there is no lens for their apsc lineup :(
So in the end id rather switch to sony))
Damnit autofocus :(
As excited I was to get the R7 for holidays the fact that they are clamping down on 3rd party lenses and the lack of native lenses selection really made me not consider the camera. Yeah I can get an adapter and pick other lenses but in reality I don't want to add that one more item.
So my money will go somewhere else but not sure where yet
Look at Fuji X-T4 and Sony A7C, A7II as well.
@@markwiemels yeah I'm also looking at the a7iv slightly more then I was thinking but hey why not
Would think that fuji x-s10 would be better than r10 if not doing anything quick or macro. s10 got 15 min as min shutter.
What lens would you use instead of the kit lens on R7 for videos and photos for fine art painting indoors?
I like the RF 35mm f1.8, good for lower light and gives a nice image. I have not tested the 24 f1.8, but it might be good, see if you can find a review of someone testing the 24 f1.8 on the R7.
Most definitely prefer the clicky buttons
Hi may I know what is the maximum iso u will recommend to shoot with the R10 and R7? How are they compared to say dslr canon crop sensor?
It really depends the the scene, but I think 6400 in video and 12800 in photos is about as high as I would want to go. Yes they are better than the older cameras, but I think that is mostly image processing in the camera.
Thanks for great Video. Is it possible to use this Mount Adapter EF-EOS R on the R10?
Yes
Which lens would you recommend for the r7 when making YT videos?
There really are not many good choices right now. Hopefully canon will release new lenses soon,
Great review, thank you
it is so sad you can't use the EOS M lenses on here!!!
Should i consider buying an R7? I havd the Canon 550D for a little over 10 years. I want to do some shortfilm and sometimes take pictures of wildlife🤔
It would be a massive upgrade, yes you should consider it.
very detailed and useful review
Thanks.
Canon R10 vs iphone 14 Pro: who wins?
Yah, R10 for sure.

No, canon cameras are designed to add custom profiles.

In the past 10-15 years, very little have changed on the photo side.
I shoot 1300 photos with a battery charge on my R10. For real!
Funny enough, the R7 is weather sealed, but the kit lenses do not!
I know! It's a little annoying.
no flash sync ports on cannons now cant trigger my old units , good bye cannon
The difference isnt the megapíxels?
And better low light on the r7?
No, I cover that, it's the least important factor.
Как говаривал один мой коллега:
"Одновременно делать фото и видео - это всё равно, что заниматься сексом сразу с двумя женщинами ... которые находятся в разных комнатах".
wish the r10 had a better sensor
In most cases you can not pick the photos apart from the R7.
None. Zero support from third party lenses.
It's sad.
If canon made an m10, they wouldn’t have been able to make enough of them! Stupid move😢
R7 is one sagenent above I think
