  • The caster wheel I used for the firewood transporter broke.
    I could buy a new one but of course I make one from scratch instead.
    Stronger, heavier

    for slotting something that works for me is to, instead of straight up slotting, use a slightly smaller end mill and an adaptive tool path, with fast movement and not too much step over. spiraling in the slot basically, full depth. or, alternatively use a contour tool path with a tool the width of the slot, but set a ramp feed at 1% slop or less. also with fast movement, and cooling. i have very similar machine as yours. thanks for the videos!

    Good stuff! Maybe use a corner radius endmill for your contour slots and a high feed mill strategy? (DOC about equal to the corner radius and feed it fast)

    Using a threading bar in the mill. Huh. Why didn't my seemingly shiny-smooth brain come up with that? 😅
