You should be able to make this coreXY pretty easily with out many changes, this might improve the wobbles. breakaway mount might also be useful if the material moves during a cut or if something falls half way.
the ca glue needs more nails. Get some tight bond 2, it is stronger than the wood.
A layer of fiberglass with epoxy will waterproof your table just fine if you want to go that far with it.
