      Phoenix is a very different situation. Before CP3 got in they are a solid good defensive squad anchored with Ayton and Bridges fast improvement on that side along other role player pieces veteran talent. The Jazz when they got Conley are not a good defensive team to make up for weaknesses having a small back court and wing players who aren't athletic enough play help defense. So teams that do Gobert off the court or can play around him in the playoffs just wax the Jazz.

    Keldon Johnson is shooting 43 percent from 3 for the season. (Top 5 in the league).
    Jacob Poeltl posted lines of 28/11/8 (vs. Washington) and 20/17/5 (vs. OKC) in his last two starts. He’s averaged 13.2 and 9.2 for the season. He considered one of the best passing big men in the league, and on “D” he’s referred to as “Blockob” Poeltl (1.8 BPG, Top 5 in the league) for his excellent rim-protection. All this on a 9 million dollar per year contract
    Leonard’s Supermax is 39 million per year. vs. 11 million for both Poeltl and Keldon.
    DeRozan is better in Chicago because of what he learned in San Antonio, and the fact that he’s surrounded by seasoned, top-tier offensive players. Spurs ultimately got two first-round picks and a second rounder back for him going to Chicago.

    I’m not sure how accurate this was but the Lakers were offering Ingram for Kawhi at the time to pair with Bron but that Pop turned it down out of not wanting to send him to a conference rival. • @MrWesleyton
    @MrWesleyton 2 года назад

    Okc turned Russ into cp3 into offloading 40m off their books and getting multiple picks. The Lakers are going to have to eat the Westbrook contract or give up assets to get rid of him. For Sam to be able to net a positive return off of Russell wanting out, you have to give that an A+ when it comes to creativity.
    Especially whenever George wanted out at the same time and we turned that into SGA, five future firsts(#12 this year), gallinari(which flipped into cash, 2rp, 20m in trade exception) and two swap rights. That in itself should’ve been considered one of the most lopsided trades ever.

  • @MrBrachiatingApe
    @MrBrachiatingApe 2 года назад

    You should have included the Warriors trading D'Angelo Russell for Andrew Wiggins and the first time pick that became Jonathan Kuminga.
    Wiggins has become a top-tier wind on both offense and defense, and has improved from the worst wing defender to one of the top three or five, as well as improving the three-point percentage from like 33 34 to 41. He's shrunk his mid-range game from something like 40 to 45% of his shots down to half that while also getting marginally more accurate in the mid-range.
    And currently, Jonathan comming is one of the top two or three rookies. Per 36, he's the leaving scorer among rookies by 2.2 points. He's the most athletic among the rookies, with Incredible dunking but already has the savvy not to just try to take it to the cop and jam on everybody who faces. He uses on his athleticism as a threat to open up a variety of layup finishes and has even started doing interesting things passing out of the low post. He's already a plus defender and everything about his work ethic and his willingness to take charges, dive after loose balls, box out, and generally make the right basketball play tell me that he's going to be I think he's got a higher ceiling than Wiseman, even though I still think Wiseman, echoing his trainer who also trained LeBron James, cp3, and a couple other hall of fame players, is himself if you're all star and potentially a future hall of famer in the mold of Giannis.
    Seriously, Evan mobley is fantastic, but guys like cage Cunningham and jalen green have not proven to be worth their high draft position, whereas at number seven, dominga is proving far more valuable. There's a reason he was the early projected number one pick for next year's draft before he re-classified his junior year to be his senior and move up his draft year.
    The Warriors are not only retooling from the current Big three to put together an incredibly exciting young core for the next 5 to 10 years, but the same rookies, sophomores, and 30-year players are proving valuable now and will be valuable role players in the Warriors post-season run. Coming more than anybody except Jordan pool, but moving ahead, I think flamingo will be the superior player and everything except play creation.

      @@MrBrachiatingApe LOL Mobley is like the 3rd/4th scoring option of his team. Cade is like the 1st even when he struggled because he had nobody to play off from and when Jerami Grant finally came back. Despite that he's putting up respectable numbers at high volume WHILE commanding the defenses primary attention. He was out of summer league so his reps were cut short but his Dec/Jan splits were pretty good. I'm glad y'all not only don't pay attention but don't look into context either but do you anyway. Also Wiggins is in a good spot now because he's not the first/second option like he was in Minny. He was never cut for that so he gets to be efficient with a more simplified role.

    7:16 man, that time when kawhi dont want to play in san antonio and traded to toronto was a wise move given the fact that san antonio wont give its rival their star player but in 2022, if you really think about it, san antonio could give kawhi to one of la teams and exhaust their draft picks so that they could be stuck and no assest left. and it could cause them problems along the way. Dragic trade is win/win I guess. Thing is the onus is on the team who gets the picks to make out of their best luck with it since that shit isn't guaranteed. So for the Suns to get Mikal Bridges 3 years after with those resources is pretty good. The Heat got guaranteed service out of Goran even through those weird times when Pat Riley was doling out these 3-4 year semi expensive deals to guys like Whiteside, Tyler Johnson and such thinking that they would be great trade pieces to land someone big. That wasn't the case sadly.
    OKC clearly won the Ibaka trade. You know what OKC got afterwards and it paid forward 4-6 years later that deal . Ibaka was set to be a UFA so Magic had to cut their losses and all they got for flipping him to Toronto was Terrence Ross and a late 1st pick.
    Lakers still win the AD trade. They got what they wanted with a chip and two top 10 guys to build on. The only problem is screwing up on a sure thing with the support cast which Pelinka botched last offseason and letting go of the wings that helped the big two to be one of the best defensive teams in the playoffs. Pelicans did get some talent in return but people gotta understand that AD straight up was helping carry the Pelicans to playoff contention by himself. He however can't do shit by himself IN the playoffs. Ingram/Hart/Ball couldn't even get the team to a last playoff spot. Can't depend on Zion either since he's got his own issues.
    The CP3 trade to the Suns is obviously a boon for them on short term. But its not like he was carrying amazing value as he had specific landing spots and his contract required certain high priced assets to be moved. So its another one of those plays for Presti and OKC to find as much margins as they can out of that trade. So far Presti has flipped those assets he got into Poku (real intriguing piece), Ty Jerome (still unknown) and a series of future picks.
