    The question for Indiana is how do you get to the bottom. This team will be a perennial sixth seed with the talent on the roster and that’s not good enough and Haliburton is genuinely special to the extent that he deserves more.

      @@thomasbland6754 this, the difference with Brogdon vs Haliburton is night and day and his value will never be higher than it is now. It sucks to see it as they’re a fun team to watch (just like the kings) but when you know the ceiling is a first round exit/surprise 2nd round fluke, don’t pull a nets, simply because there isn’t a Kyrie/KD coming to save(not really) you.

    i believe that theres a multitude of reasons as to scotties sophomore season struggles. I don't believe the team is currently structured in a way that leans into scotties strengths, compound that with playing through an injury, a jump in play is a difficult ask of anyone. I kind of think there's some locker room turmoil going on but that's my own speculation and intuition based on the players body language etc. I believe scottie is still going to be a great player, I've never been 100% on him being a #1 face of the franchise guy but i have absolute faith that he will be a top tier player in this league, even if when that happens is farther down the line than we originally thought. Though if he turns out to be that #1 face of the franchise, i'd love nothing more. seems like a good kid.

    As a Hawks fan, I initially agreed with the Murray trade, but as time has gone by, I'm with Tucker on this. I think this is a case where the GM was feeling the heat from ownership, and the public because the owner made it known they were going to "shake things up", and got taken on a deal they shouldn't have made. The owner shouldn't have been so public about his willingness to make a deal and take away the leverage from his GM.

    The Pelicans' hierarchy SHOULD be clear if Willie Green and his coaching staff have any common sense. Everything, and I mean everything, has to start and end with Zion. We've seen them put the ball in Zion's hands more and more over the last month. These "point Zion" lineups have been utterly unguardable. Ingram and CJ need to understand that their role is to complement Zion, not the other way around.

    • @joshchristensen1103
      @joshchristensen1103 Год назад +1

      100%. The body language and vibe is all off with this whole team. Philosophically it even looks like you've got NN, Siakam, and Fred existing on an island that no one else is buying into. Barnes has had good chemistry with some of the younger guys. He has to be more careful with the ball sometimes but those are acceptable hiccups you'd expect with a young playmaker that's still learning and growing. Otherwise he makes some really great reads when he's given the opportunity. He was all over that Kings game, and you could see the difference in his energy level and confidence when Fred was on the bench. It's hard to dump too much blame on the guy when he gets parked in the corner while Fred and Siakam dribble with their heads down for 22 seconds and throw up tough shots. Defensively I don't think he's as bad as Nurse's system is making him look. He gets blown by a lot but I'd attribute that more to playing on wonky ankles than anything - his lateral quickness isn't there like it was pre-injury. Just look to the Rico Run footage from the summer as the most recent evidence. So instead of making him pressure the guards, why not drop him back more and use his length and strength?

Now, they're trying to win....it just doesn't make since to me. They've beaten some good teams in Philly and the Bucks. What are we doing?
    Most likely, we won't have our own 1st round pick in 2024 (I think, it's top 4 protected), because Harden couldn't play with Chris Paul, and we made one of the worst trades in NBA history. So, the 2023 pick is very important. We can't seem to do wrong, right.
