I don't know if you take video ideas but in 1984, right before the draft that was headlined by Hakeem Olajuwon and Michael Jordan, Ralph Sampson won the 1984 Rookie of the year and the Rockets were willing to trade him. The Portland Trailblazers who selected Clyde Drexler the year before were looking for a center and had the number two overall pick. The Rockets and the Trailblazers had come up with a trade to send Sampson to Portland, a proven center instead of a chance on Sam Bowie, for Drexler and the number 2 overall pick for Ralph Sampson. Therefore, the Rockets would've had the number one and number two pick and would've taken Olajuwon and Jordan and would've had Clyde Drexler. Imagine how many championships those three would've won together. I think you should make a what-if video.

Why would the Rockets take Michael Jordan a SG after they just traded for Clyde Drexler a SG over Sam Bowie a PF/C after they just traded away Ralph Sampson a PF/C. Remember that know one knew but before that draft the Michael Jordan was going to become what he became. Teams also still thought that the best way to build a contender was to build around a PF/C

thats bc the salary cap is alot bigger now than 2012 which was why a shit ton of players were getting max deals left and right in the offseason
They weren't even paying luxury tax for 2012-2013 as Harden played a year with the Rockets on his rookie contract. It made no sense even 1.5 million in salary for 2013-2014 wouldn't have put them over the luxury tax they could have just traded Perkins and grab a less shitty center in free agency, even Nick Collison or Cole Aldrich were good enough. The Harden trade made ZERO sense from any angle you try to spin it. They went like 15 million over the luxury tax in 2015-2016, think about that.
