a good way to do burried supply quests is to use dynomites (place 3 in a triangle somewhere in the middle and throw a lit one) no zombies and its very quick

You should have added the intended path through a quest poi that is marked by light sources. (Flashlights, torches) etc. Its hard to clear t5 without following that light path.

To add to your comment do this: Never break any blocks / doors. If you follow the natural path of the POI you will get through all the areas and clear everything. If you have two possible paths you can go, one is always a small dead end (in my experience). You will never be stuck, there is always a way to progress without breaking or building anything and without using parkour perks. If you don't know where to go, check for buttons opening doors and check for holes in the ceiling or check the roof (you mostly want to go up).

you can loot a place twice if you loot the place before you start the quest, as soon as you start the quest the entire POI is reset, including loot containers, blocks that were destroyed and zombies, perfect for farming XP and loot

    • @Rayyveil1

    • @Frightning
      @Frightning Год назад +3

This is less efficient, timewise, than just looting it once as part of the quest (or afterwards) and then taking another job elsewhere. The difference being that clear 2 POIs in the time it takes to do so, but get 2 quest rewards (from 2 quests) instead of 1, even though there is a tad more time spent traveling to do 2 quests instead of double looting 1 quest target).

@@scubasteve2189 this is true, so instead of looting the entire place twice, I now rush to the treasure room skipping all the other loot containers and just take what's in the crates and big loot chest for the first run, then I start the quest for real and do it as normal. To add to buried supplies: Dynamite is a great tool to make this much easier. Dig a little in the middle and then dynamite to clear a lot of blocks quickly. Exploded blocks do not shrink the radius and do not spawn additional zombies. If you get cheap dynamite at a trader or by some other means you can do really quick buried supplies missions.

Far as buried supplies quests go, you can step a few block spaces away once activated, and see where the chest generally is located, ( the glowing icon shows the depth, location, etc. ). When it comes to this game, I'm primarily a builder. I never liked the Trader quests because it took too much time away from grinding resources to build when playing solo. But I'm starting to wonder if it's worth doing nothing but trader quests for at least a full game week, then use the rewards to grind afterwards. Is it really worth it to do all the tiers for each trader? or Is it better to find all the traders and do all the T1 quests for each first and go back through to do the next Tier etc.? Basically what is a recommended way to do these?

  • @TheDoctor1225

This is one of the most (if not the most) informative videos I have seen in a long time. I enjoy playing the game at a bit of a more relaxed pace, but have found the questing to be a bit frustrating at times. This gives great insights into how it works, and I especially liked the fact that you could continue to go up in tiers without necessarily doing the higher tier quests themselves. Superb video, and thank you!
One question, if I may - as I do not play on the difficulty level that you do (and if you answered this in the video, I missed it, so please forgive me) would all of the intel about the loot tables, rewards, etc still hold true, given that I'm playing on a lower skill level overall?

Buried Treasure is not a death sentence on Insane Nightmare. How I would handle it is you dig down with a small hole that leads directly to your bicycle. You fill the hole with soil so you are fully covered. You dig "quietly" and pause if needed so you are not noticed. Once you find the chest you clear a path toward the bicycle and open a small exit. You get as close to the satchel as possible while remaining close to the exit. Grab and hop on bicycle and ride away.
    It's really actually very easy.

    • @IzPrebuilt

The main part of insane nightmare is the "insane" difficulty and "nightmare" run speed.
Generally that's all that is changed from default aside from setting max horde night spawns to whatever your pc can handle, generally 64.
Otherwise it's up to you. I keep hordes on every 7 days, turn loot respawn and air drops off. If you wanna make it really hard you can do stuff like turn on feral sense and decrease loot abundance.
I generally balance my advice so that it's perfectly workable on standard insane nightmare so players can use my advice on any main difficulty combination.

Dunno why the buried supplies quests are dreaded, they're the easiest and most straightforward quests, they give a ton of xp for both digging and kills, and you basically get free loot from a chest that otherwise wouldn't have existed.

    • @IzPrebuilt

There's no difference in quests between traders. Just find a trader who is closest to wherever you want to quest

What is more profitable doin tier 500 1's or 50 tier 5's at given time, for earning dukes fastest?

@@NarwahlGaming Best way to earn dukes fast is doing T3 (or T4) jobs. afaik, T3 is slightly better for dukes/time because of how much quicker to clear (and take the good loot) they are, but T4s aren't much worse and are a much better ammo farm (so you can kill 2 birds w/ one stone spamming T4 jobs).

Anyone know of any bugs that happen on clearing quests ? Any kind I do- tier 4 or tier 1 I can never find the last zombie(s). No yellow or red marker and no zombie sounds. All rooms are clear and so is roof.

You most likely missed more of the poi than you realize, or a random room, sleeper etc. They can be intricate and tricky. The same thing has happened to me and I thought it was bugged, but that was mostly before I was super familiar with the pois. I do sometimes have the tier 4 and 5 bug out on me and freeze/crash 3/4 of the way complete. But the only time I've had actual bugged clear quests is on a modded version. But who knows, this game is hella buggy

Pretty much covers everything one needs to know about quests in A20...especially the death trap that is buried supplies. Didn't help we had 4-5 of us in a group running them
Kinda hope the crafting changes for A21 make Int slightly less busted but may very well make it more busted if it takes fewer points to get all the nice things in the tree (thus allowing a secondary tree to level faster)

Questing is so OP that the quests themselves need to be made like 3 times harder/longer.
