      i dont know if its a bug/mod issue.. but the workbench recipe wich only needs 2 iron for 20 shots can be exploited like hell. get enough iron for 1000 rounds(50) and then scrap those 1000 rounds for 2250 iron: net gain 2200 iron. That would enable to build 44 more 1000 round stacks.

  • @mikaslashCOD

    Nice video !
    For tip number 1 there is also a 4th block to get rocks easily, in the form of a brick palet found in many buildings even thoses not related to construction.
    I would also add that It is easier to get clay from dirt blocks, instead of grass blocks, both give the same amount of clay but, grass block have 250HP while dirt block have 200HP which can be harvested early game with a stone shovel in 2 hits instead of 3. Time and stamina saved.
    Also dirt block is found just underneath any grass block and is usually 5 block deep, so get down there !
    I highly disagree with number 5.
    I would never tell a new player to use the stun baton, or a spear.
    Look at all the requiered materials and specific books you need in order to make the stun baton somewhat viable, not op, viable.
    Meanwhile a sledgehammer can do AOE crowd control starting at level 3 sledgehammer skill with no specific book or mods, and will one-shot most zombies until late game.
    A dead zombie is always better than a stunned zombie because you don't have to deal with a dead zombie.
    So basically the sledgehammer is a better version of the stun baton both for crowd control and damage.
    It only requiers strenght level 5 which is used for almost every builds because of a specific dinosaur perk and cooking.
    About tip number 7, it depends of the situation, if you can get to the loot room in less than 20 seconds by climbing a ladder through a window, then definitely double dip, you will get 2x the rewards for free in less than a minute, or if you really need to extract the most out of certain buildings like crack a book libraries like you said in the video. But if it takes more than 5 minutes and involve a lot of fighting to get to the loot room then do NOT double dip.
    The best exemple is the water treatment building which is tier 4, by going through the exit you can get to the loot room without even fighting for the cost of breaking a 5 000hp door, which can be done during night when it's dangerous to go outside and have nothing left to do in your base.
    Having 2 tier 4 loot room for free early game is very interesting.
    Same goes for cabin in the wood tier 4
    Shamway tower tier 5
    The cinema-parking-lot tier 4
    And the tier 4 military base.
    All of their loot rooms can be accessed without even fighting with 0 levels in sneaking.
    About tip number 9 i didn't know about it ! Even after 2700hrs in 7DTD i can still learn something ! Thanks for that one !

  • @enkephalin07
    @enkephalin07 Год назад +2

    I specialized baton on my first char, and I can tell you the repulsor's major drawback is that getting a followup headshot on a downed enemy is more difficult than it deserves to be. But it does help with crowd control if you have a turret backing you, so I kept using it despite my dissatisfaction with it.
    Important note about Pain Tolerance is that it doesn't protect against damage, it instantly refunds 25% of damage taken (it's difficult to test whether that will protect you should you go below 0.) That healing is instantly taken out of Food, so you can quickly burn through supplies if you carelessly over-rely on PT. That said, max PT is an awesome and even necessary perk.

  • @ShianVideos
    @ShianVideos Год назад +10

    Tip #7: I think the double-dipping trend is a carry-over from pre-A20. Prior to this alpha there were no quest tier rewards and it wasn't uncommon to get quests that were 1.5km+ away, so it made more sense. With the changes to quests made in A20, it's fairly obvious that speedrunning quests is more efficient, but people are used to the old way of doing things.

    • @ShianVideos
      @ShianVideos Год назад +4

      At earlier gamestages even the end loot isn't that good. You're not going to get a t4 assault rifle from the end loot when you're level 20 , but you might get one from completing a t3 quest (which you can get to quicker if you don't double-dip).
      There are circumstances where double-dipping might be a good idea, but ultimately this video is 10 tips for people who are relatively new to the game. You explain to a new player not to double-dip, tell them why (generally inefficient compared to rushing quests), once they have enough knowledge and game sense they'll know when they can ignore this advice.

    In a nutshell 7 days to die consists of two parts in alpha 20:
    1. Build a pathfinding exploit base elevated and make the zombies not be able to do anything.
    2. Exploit traders for their overpowered quest rewards.
    Things that you shouldn't do:
    1. Actually loot
    2. Make a fortified horde base instead of making a cheap exploity one that looks like a toaster.
    3. Use anything else than machine guns and shotguns and the occasional robot turret if u farmed for 4 hours to get multiple stacks of robotic ammo 🤓
    4. Using stealth because switching to a bow is just a bad idea because switching back to a gun and shooting takes longer anyways...
    5. Making a farm for actual food.
    6. Making something zombieproof.
    7. Using common sense to save resources...
    8. Farming materials for ammunition crafting.
    9. Not doing quests but focusing to survive on your own.
    10. Making suggestions to fix their game to the devs...
    Because they don't care 🗿🍷

    • @TPguard5
      @TPguard5 Год назад +1

      I literally always get gyrocopter and hundreds of thousands of dukes, both motor tools and t6 guns and chests full of ammo before day 14.
      I have never died to a horde after alpha 15 switched to alpha 16 which added electricity...
      Quests are just a dumb way to get overpowered stuff and the only fun part is the clearly overpowered reward after doing a t1 fetch that takes literally 50 seconds to be rewarded a stack of ammo and pipe bombs which is enough to take down an entire horde night on max settings.
      It's not a flex btw it's just that the devs are not designing the game properly lmfao...

    11. Skip vanilla altogether and run with the 'Undead Legacy' overhaul mod. It makes 7DtD better in nearly every way. (e.g. storage chest broadcast their contents so you don't have to have everything in your inventory, there is a maintenance bench to cheaply repair everything, and there are *SO* many cool new tools and weapons.) If you find that too tame and simple, step up to 'Dark Sorcery' (aka 'Darkness Falls' + 'Sorcery' mods) and prepare to take your lumps from sexy flying demons hurtling fireballs at your face.

    You only double dip if two conditions are met which are;
    A: you can skip to the loot room at the end of the poi with easy frame/block breaking
    B: Its early game, and you really need stuff quick, or you hit another loot level tier and need stuff quick while in a good biome for it (aka not forest)
    Option B only applies if Option A is met to its fullest. Otherwise spam that questing as fast as possible yes.

    My main loadout during non-Horde night play is the Stun Baton and an AK/Tact/M60. For Horde night I replace my Stun Baton with a Steel Club since Electric Fences normally keep everything stunned.
    I've NEVER understood ANYONE that says the Stun Baton sucks... Imho its required for Insane... I can keep @5 enemies stunned while I legit play wack-a-mole. With a high dismember chance you almost always decapitate them before they die.
    That being said - I do NOT use the Repulsor. I hate running after the tankier boys like Radiated Bikers or Tourist. Nor do I use the Turrets as they attack the closest thing to them. So if a cop comes within range - Gets attacked by one and they don't finish them off fast enough... You are dealing with no only Demos that blow up - But Cops (which are far more common) as well.

    Reference Tip # 6 Double looting. It depends on how well you know the POI's in the game. Some buildings you can chop through a couple of exterior blocks and get to the end loot room which is worth double looting. At a bare minimum you want to double loot the mail box.
    There are also some that have an unusual amount of high value, low level crafting materials like cobblestone. In that case it may be worth your time to triple/quadruple loot by exiting the game before finishing the objective which will reset the quest marker and all the loot inside. Otherwise, yeah, double looting can be more time consuming than it's worth.

    The most fun I've had in the game is seeing my horde base that I came up with myself in action. I dont suggest following the meta and building that bridge style base as it takes so much enjoyment out of the game. Also for double dipping a location by not starting the quest, I agree that it's not worth the time, especially because of inventory space. However, many locations have workbenches, chem benches etc.. very close to the start of the poi, like in a garage. Its worth checking those before starting the quest if you need the corresponding schematic so you double you chances of getting, for example, a workbenches schematic. Another reason to do it is if you need a lot of cobblestone, cement or paper and the poi has a lot of those skids in it. Get twice the amount. Tier 5 factories are especially good for this.

    I always cheated gathering resources. If I was planning on spending a full ingame day (or sometimes 2) mining and gathering wood and stone, etc. I would log out to the main menu, and lower the block durability all the way. Then just go on a huge grind to get what I need, and then change it back. It’s not hard getting resources, so there’s no reason for me to spend 10 times longer hitting a block for no reason. It’s definitely cheating, but I just didn’t see the point. I’m just saving myself time. And plus I am a hoarder so I like having insane amounts of “emergency” materials I will never use. I just like having it. It looks nice in a box having a full row of iron, coal, etc. in my “reserve stash” but it would mostly remain untouched, I’d just keep it full lol

    • @Nathan35077
      @Nathan35077 Год назад

      I also would try and have a forge completely full of every material! I play on console though, so lead and brass were the hardest, and brass I never managed to get to the max amount the forge could hold. Console version doesn’t allow to break doors for doorknobs. So you really only had light fixtures and faucets that you could find and dismantle. Besides finding it in loot. Lead you can mine for though, it’s just rarer to find.

I have two dew collectors but I am still constantly thirsty, I can't even scrape up enough money for another collector or go on quests very often I have to stay around the base and walk slowly. I spend 80% of the money I get on water. I very rarely find anything to drink in POIs. I find the zombie killing part quite easy I would enjoy it if I could do it more but my bloke seems to suffer from a disease where he can't survive more than a couple of hours without drinking, and I can't collect and boil or filter rainwater or snow as far as I can tell. I always have stacks of weapons and ammunition, I must have 10+ guns and 300 rounds + pipe bombs etc bullets are more common than water but it is not a desert, the grass is green. It rains every other day but it seems to make no difference to how much I can collect. It is the worst part about the game. I am dehydrated while hiding indoors from the rain. If the rain is poisoned the dew collectors would be contaminated and the animals would die.

      Find or buy a cooking pot immediately for your campfire and cook the murky water into drinkable water.
      Watch the food you eat as well. Some of it can make you thirsty/ subtract water.
      The early game is a little obnoxious if you can't get a cooking pot, but once you have one and do enough quests to be able to afford multiple dew collectors, water should no longer be a problem. I recently just started playing, and couldn't find a cooking pot anywhere and I was soooo frustrated with the water situation.

    the player must recognize the main loot's place because it's easy to get out from there,this way he gets only the main loot & gets out without having to scrap every single piece in the POI

    Are there certain tricks, base designs, POI knowledge etc to know before progressing difficulty, so many videos are done straight for insane nightmare; is it just a case of when you feel comfortable or are there certain things which are like you really should do this for your first nomad, warrior, nightmare playthroughs that differ in complexity but act as learning steps?

      Best thing to do as a newbie is to get to the trader, get a quest and then go find somewhere safe for the night. There are one or two mainly domestic buildings that I tend to look for because my experience says they are suitable, but I would recommend an elevated position, preferably under cover (say in a roof or attic) that is not accessible for zombies. To this end I tend to remove some of the stairs or the bottom of ladders so that I can jump to the bottom one but zombies can't or won't.
      Once you have found a location, put down your bed roll, some storage for all the excess crap we all tend to collect, and a fireplace - then go do your mission if it's not too late.
      Bonus hint - meat is your friend so hunt a couple of small animals. But boars and larger can and will easily kill you so be careful. When you do your quests, keep a look out for cooking pots and grills because those quickly become essential.
      And have fun!! :)

    When it comes to progress in alpha 20, I play on 90 min days and 300% exp for less grinding. With these stats, I usually hit around lvl 70 before first horde night. Quest early, double loot all early quests and you should be good once you hit t2 quests. You'll have a basic inventory built. That's how I do the first seven days.

      More like playstyle, honestly even if I spend a hundred thousand hours memorizing all the POI and metagamed my way to maxing out int at the end of week one I never would. Elec fenses and autoturrets on day 7 not only sounds incredible dull it also means the game is effectively over. Theres nothing left worth doing.

      i have a series named "insane nightmare survival guide" where i made my tutorials for advanced players playing at a hard difficulty.
      This is a beginners guide, i made it for new players. The first tip being about cobblestone pallets was there to tell advanced players "ah, this is gonna be more basic than what i need". If you kept watching beyond then, it's really your own issue.
      I have dozens of videos geared towards Insane Nightmare advanced content. I have dozens of videos dedicated to beginners. I create content for various skill groups and types of player.
      You have absolutely no right or even the knowledge to comment on my financial choices for this channel. Even if this were a cash grab video (it's not,it'll get 50k views over a year and then die, not exactly super profitable) you'd have absolutely no say in that. I own this channel, this channel is a business legally speaking and it exists to grow, generate profit and become a livable income for me.
      I have complete creative control (within the limits of our lord and saviour google's terms of service obviously) of this channel. I do not have to abide by the desires of any individual viewer. Additionally, "doing these videos to get monetised easily" i've been monetised for a year and a half, every single one of my videos has a green ad icon, and is making me money. What on earth are you waffling on about with the "get monetized easily" i made the video I WANTED to make.
      Do you seriously think being the "youtube 7dtd player with amazing super advanced tips" is going to keep my lights on for the next 70 years? No. It won't. So I, like any other business person, need to have a diverse range of products (types of videos) for a variety of customers (types of viewers) and need to expand into other sources of income (other platforms) and reach new customers (play different games/make videos about different things)
      If you have a problem with me running my monetized youtube channel, like a monetized youtube channel. Go and watch someone else, this is not the product for you. If i didn't want to make money from my channel, i wouldn't have ads on. Any youtuber who says "I'm not in it for the money" but has monetisation features enabled is simply lying to you. However, i'm not a liar. Sorry if i broke the magic of youtube for you.
      Tl;dr I'll do what i want. You're free to "vote with your view time" and just, not watch me.
