  • Hey beautiful people, in this video I go into detail about:
    1. The 3 main reasons your hair might just not be "growing".
    2. What you can actually do about it.
    If you:
🌟Have been stuck at the same length for years?
🌟Have hair that constantly breaks off no matter what you do?
🌟You don’t have a set hair routine and make it up as you go along?

I cut my hair into a TWA on leap day (Feb 29th, 2024) with the intention to live on my hair better and implement routines. So far so good! This is my 3rd or 4th big chop.
I realized years ago that my hair likes to be in a stretched state- two strand twists, braids or straightened.
Wash and gos do not serve me. So glad to see I’m on the right path.
Love your length and fullness. I haven’t focused on length in the past, but this journey I AM! ➿〰️
    Thanks for the vid!

Fabulous tips. No more tangle teaser as it pulls out so much unnecessary hair.
Stretched hair caters to actual retention. Literally just 6 months and I have seen a massive seeming growth or more accurately obvious retention.
She is also right about regular protein treatments as a high porosity girl.

It makes sense and is great advice.💜 I don't personally follow it except I do detangle wet hair with conditioner and use my fingers first to get the big knots out before using my brush. I enjoy WnG styling it's easy and I don't have the time or patience to twist or braid my hair. I still somehow managed to grow my hair to hip length.

Linda Martin, I'm in yr age group also. There's a myth that the older you get, your hair stops growing...LIES! I BC 8 yrs ago, and although I'm a " lazy hair " natural, I grew it from ear length to bra strap length in 3 yrs. Was at that length because of a life crisis, so hair took a beating because of neglect...😪 But, Re-view this video and get a hair journal and Follow her Advice. I used each of her (free) tips and I'm seeing major problems, CHANGE! I was a product junkie, but by using one line of product helps. Ominiranaturals seems to be working Wonders for Janet!🙌🏽 KNOW yr HAIR POROSITY, Do ONLY STRETCH styles, Detangle the way Janet Davies outlined, I hated it, but now I detangle with water and a "slip" conditioner (I'm getting the #TangleSlayer when my SS check comes in ☺️😉) and my HANDS! Leave yr hair ALONE! And if you notice the beginning of her videos start with a scripture....PIN 1 Corinthians 11:15 , live and believe in it. Thank God, I did!🙌🏽 May your mourning (abt yr hair) turn into Joy!💖

@@pualenaisz4403 great advice and glad you are living proof! I have alopecia but my mom who was the age of my friends grandparents had so much hair at age 80 and grew her hair to waist length. So when doctors try to tell me oh it's genetic and all of that, I just can't think of a soul in my family who had the problem that I'm having, not even my dad. He had all of his hair when he died and very little gray hair. My mom got her first gray hair at age 80. Is it the stress of the world today that is causing our gray hairs I say prematurely?

But doesn’t blow out damage the curls in your hair

    • @lilnativa_That_4C_hair_Chick
      @lilnativa_That_4C_hair_Chick Год назад +1

Depends on how you do it or the tool you use. If you do see damage while doing it, it is strongly recommended to stay away from blowing out natural hair. A lot of naturals like me blow their hair out once or twice a year, and we successfully achieved length retention. So it's not a requirement in your hair journey unless it makes your life easier and you see the growth results you want. This decision is all yours at the end of the day 🙂

The tension method - use the small nozzle - part your hair in sections and hold the nozzle close to your hair and move it up and down the hair shaft . Or if you are in the USA - buy the rev air - blow dryer .
