- Thanks to Rebel Offroad for suggesting this setup for our new 2023 F-450. Fuel 10-lug wheels with Nitto tires make for a wonderfully smooth ride. We pull a 42 foot fifth-wheel toy hauler so need the tires set-up as is. Excellent ride quality, very quiet ride. No more harsh ride from the stock wheels and tires. I run the tires at 60 psi when not towing, so it's very comfortable. I feel this is a comfort upgrade, and it has that "look" that is so much better.
Good morning nice truck question because i have the same one but a 2022 king ranch for now y have the factory wheels i have one question have you do any modifications to the suspension or on leveling kit like make it higher in orderto install that wheels and tires size ? Thanks
Hey Tom. Perfect timing on your video. I just purchased a 2023 F450 Limited (00054) and almost returned it to the dealer because of the vibrations and noise from the stock tires. Did you purchase them online? If so, how much? Running on 110 lb of pressure solid rocks is really not too fun; and, the fact that there is no other option for this truck puzzles me. I had an F350 and the turning radius was so bad I got rid of it. I do love the turning radius of the F450 but can't wait to get into some new 20" rims that will allow me to put the tire of my choice on. Thanks!
@switz11 sorry for the late reply. Yes, getting rid of the stock wheels makes things much better from a comfort perspective. I bought the wheels and tires through Rebel Offroad in Lake Forest, CA. But here's the deal: you can go to your local America's Tire and get the same setup. They can order anything for you. I run my new setup at 60 psi when I'm not towing. The ride is absolutely wonderful now. There is no TPMS on this truck, since it is considered a commercial vehicle, so this means you don't worry about that with your new wheels. I was more limited because of the 10 lug wheels... not as many manufacturers get into this market space. So the FUEL wheels are great for me. Good luck with whatever you choose, and have fun! Awesome truck! I just ordered a 2024 F-450 about a couple of weeks ago. Any modifications for that setup?
The truck is totally stock aside from the Fuel wheels and Nitto tires. Now it won't remain that way for long... I've ordered a Banks Pedal Monster and a Banks exhaust. That will be the end of mods. The pedal monster is a phenomenal device, I have one on my Doge Durango R/T. Great choice for truck. The turning radius is unreal for a truck this size, too. Easy U-turns... you're going to enjoy it a lot.
