  • A few things to remember when fitting a Crosswater Crossbox, as I know many plumbers have got it wrong in the past and asked me for help.

Looks good Todd. Worth get the Sparky to check that extractor is a suitable 230 V extractor fan installed in zones 1 and 2, and outside the zones. If an extractor fan is installed in zone 1 or 2 it must be protected against the ingress of moisture to at least IPX4.
Look forward to the next video

Hi Todd, great thinking plumbing the valve in based on the push button requirements! It gives the client so much choice in the future should they decide to change the style of their shower valve. Wonderful video! This is incredibly informative and we hope it helps others make the most of their Crossbox valves too.

IF YOUR ONLY DOING A TWO WAY VERSION STANDARD WOULD YOU PLUMB THE LEFT HAND SIDE (AS YOUR LOOKING AT IT IN THE WALL) AS YOUR HAND HELD SHOWER AND THE RIGHT HAND SIDE AS YOUR MAIN SHOWER HEAD AND BLANK OFF THE MIDDLE OUTLET?

    Hi Todd,
My plumber fit the cross box according to the two outlet push button configuration even though I had given them the knob version. Is there anyway if switching the valves to work with that configuration without having to replumb the cross box as the tiles etc are already on?

Hi Mate, i believe if you call Crosswater Technical, they can advise the best valve to buy for it. In my head it should be just a simple swap, but better to call them to double check

Amazing mate, thanks for the quick reply, will give them a call!
EDIT: just in case anyone is in the similar situation- Crosswater technical advised to use the Crossbox 3D cartridge- Product code E250006.00000SC and that has fixed the issue without having to replumb the whole thing!

Ha how apt, guess what plumbed one in as per fixing instructions for push button. Got customer to order push button and turned up to second fix and guess what they had a last minute change of mind and went for knobs. Needless to say didn't work.
