I can relate to Karl here, I've always been quiet around the house, especially if others are asleep but, I always seem to be around people who don't understand the concept of being quiet, doors slamming, shouting, banging things around at 6am, it's crazy. I'm a light sleeper, lighter than most so, that's a big reason, but I've never woken anyone up coming home late
My house is on a slab of concrete, not elevated in anyway. But i can feel my wife and her 3 kids from one end of the house to another. I love them but damn it all, can ya please stop slamming, stuffing, and cramming everything?!
It's true. It's very frustrating when you're considerate towards other members of the household when they're sleeping, but as soon as the situation is reversed they crash around like a herd of elephants.

I have to say, the animation for the Quasimodo bit is absolutely beautiful - The colours, the light, and the dramatic way Karlimodo jumps down at 1:28. Obviously they're mimicking Disney's Quasimodo, but for some reason, that makes it funnier too.
"I'm wandering round replacing things that she's FUCKED UP." Almost as good as when he said "You're not comin back ere, FUCK OFF." As the Pipe salesman.
I love how you've made the exact same comment twice (with the exception of the apostrophe in "it's" and an exclamation mark at the end instead) with three years apart between them.
I think there's a Karl Pilkington in everyone. The only difference is that we try not to be him, but he doesn't care, which is what makes him so funny, and why everyone loves him.
I like how Ricky and Steve try to paint Karl as an idiot, but this honestly is so relatable. My mom and dad aren't as bad as how Suzanne is portrayed, but they're known to try to force things when they don't work, like DVD players or lawn mowers. I may not be Mr. Fix-it, but like Karl said, "If it doesn't work, it doesn't work!" Just tell me if it's having an issue and I'll try to fix it properly or if all else fails, call someone who can, but don't try to force things or bang them like that's going to solve all your problems!
Thing is, Karl always says he enjoys doing jobs around the house. If he has Suzanne going around and constantly breaking shit, she’s sort of doing him a favour. They’re a perfect match !
Odd to hear Steve say "that seems early" at an alarm being set at 7.00am. I would say that anything between 6.00 and 8.00am is normal for getting up during a weekday.
I opened the blinds in a window recently and ripped them off the wall They were just old I guess. I immediately thought of Suzanne and if Karl was there he would get mad at me being "heavy handed"
Women are just naturally loud. My mother used to get up earlier than us on weekends (when I was a kid/teen) and she'd always be banging about - nothing was ever quiet. My sister is always breaking stuff because she forces things, then I have to go round her house and fix it. And in my houseshare, my flatmate who is a girl is really loud in anything she does. She leaves the house at 6am and I've never heard someone who fucks around with the front door lock for so long, and she's got so many keys on her keyring you can hear them jangling from down the street. She even makes crazy amounts of noise walking up the stairs - she's only 5ft 3 but she stomps up the stairs as though she's a 300lb bloke.
I love Karl and one of the things I find lovable is how even he stays with Steve and Ricky. But he does really get fired up on the subject of Suzanne. Kind of sweet in an odd way.
@@TaxingIsThieving His strong aversion to loud noises. His dislike of changes to routine. His inability to focus on tasks and questions. His inability to pick up on social cues. Difficulty learning. I COMPLETELY understand what this guy's talking about with "heavy handed". Women- just use it, and stop breaking shit all the time and then say "it broke" like it happened on it's own.
The shutters? Where do you live the old west? The last bit is my favourite line, "That's my life nowadays. I'm like a caretaker to Suzanne's house fixing things that she's FUCKED UP!"
Like so much of Karl's 'nonsense' - it is totally relateable. I used to have a housemate who was like this. Just everything had to make a noise. Doors opening and shutting, kitchen cabinets being opened and closed like 8 times for some reason.
Just made me realise I’m fucking becoming a Karl, for fucks sake I hope I put a fucking stop to this shite of mine. My problems got nothing to do with this brilliant comedy.
I think every man who has a wife or GF who goes to work earlier than they do has the same problem. Mine's a teacher and she sets three bloody alarms. "just to be sure"....unbelievable!
It's fooking true though.. I get up 5-6 days a week for work at 4.45am and get ready quiet as a mouse.. even the dogs don't wake up.. the one morning I get a lay in and the wife has to get up 1st it is definitely like the hulk is "knocking about" 😂😂
When I was sharing a house with 4 other people I could always tell who had just gotten in. One would slam the front door but nothing else. One would slam the front door, kitchen cabinets, any door. One would slam everything, stamp on the stairs, grunt coming up the stairs, grunt on the landing. One was nearly silent, but his bedroom was next to mine and I could hear him wanking.
I love how he gets angry at his own anecdote
That's exactly what I was going to say, you beat me to it..
Cuz he’s reliving it lol
One of the few times he sounds genuinely angry.

He probably is doing her a favor by letting her get up on her own, instead of "Did I tell you about the immune system?".
