As someone with prostate cancer (it's runs in the family) I'd recommend this check up - I found out the hard way after a blood test that I had cancer. I had brachytherapy (radiation seeds are inserted into the prosate) in November 2016 and I'm still here.
Fun fact: Karl continued to see this doctor for other treatments, including his kidney stone removal. I thought it was quite sweet that he felt comfortable enough with the same doctor after this!

I'm a prostate cancer serviver and during the biopsy exam i told my urologist that he didn't have to go vary far as I already had my tonsils taken out. It's good therapy I think if you can have fun during times that seem stressful...laughter is good for the heart and soul. At the time of the exam the cancer had not been confirmed. It's amazing what progress they have made in prostate surgery as well as other more evasive types as well...just a a few small holes, no stitches and no noticeable scars!

I appreciate that they never made a joke of the exam itself, it's Karl's observations that make it humorous. Just because it's a finger up the arse doesn't make it a humiliating or obscene thing to do, it's an important medical procedure.
