My dad took my brother and I to our first concert ever at the Capitol Center Landover Maryland it was 75 or 76 we saw kiss I was absolutely Starstruck and mesmerized to see my heros 20 ft in front of me. I was 11 or 12 years old I think ACDC opened up for them and I had no idea who they were lol thank you KISS

Saw them that same year (2012) at the Houston Livestock & Rodeo Show...The place was packed and the atmosphere was electric! KISS did not disappoint, it was a fantastic show and yes Tommy Thayer kicked total A$$!
God...they truly are the best...after all these years too!!! They still look great in their costumes and makeup. Sadly, when the overweight male fans don the makeup...they all end up looking like John Wayne Gacy. Kiss Rocks!!!

I know a lot of musicians being one myself. Gotta say some people are just made to play in front of big crowds. KISS is one of those bands. They feed off the energy of the people , if ya play you know what I am saying. Hats off to them, man. Ya know when Ace/Peter left I didn't think they would still be around going strong and even bigger w/o them. guess the saying is true - You wanted the best, You got the best!
Gene's story is cool don't get me wrong, but his mother's story beats all. without who's strength and bravery, there would be no Gene & no Kiss. long live Renee
Man I was scared to death! First time I saw kiss...at all. My uncle loves kiss...and as a kid I went to visit his parents and stayed in HIS room! I went to the closet...and the light in the room was pink! I opened the closet door...and pushed the clothes aside and it was a giant kiss poster! I ran out of the room and got my grandma! I was super scared! Until she explained it's his favorite rock-'n'-roll band. I was already mortified of Michael Jackson!! My sister would hold my head to stare at thriller when it came on and I would cry! If I even heard the sound of the into ..fear! Excitement! Confusion! And I had to turn it off asap! Even if it was just to slam the volume down to zero. I couldn't listen to Vincent price without getting the shakes of fear! I was totally afraid of him too! Until after Edward scissor hands...and then I felt bad...and like Edward...because I wasn't finished getting to know them and I had been scared away. But that helped. Vincent is very dynamic and normal. And has a good ear for his own voice..which means he has depth. And patience. So I came to like his personality alot. It has a great sense of timing and subtle delivery of potent informations and focused exaction. I like that about kiss too. They are super fun and negative positive to me. If you don't know what negative freedom is...look it up! I gaurantee you're already using this term as defined but don't know it. This term does refer to a character in this band. And many other bands. It's a part of music itself. Look into it. It IS what it is. Kiss seems to have it all. Lovable likeable lustable and livable. I don't want to crowd my mind with realities about people's lives ..and kiss leaves nothing of fog in my mind or ears. Clean cut. Cut clear. And cooperative collaborative cooberative ideas and ideals... They wanna have fun..they wanna go! And they keep it more real than anyone else...they did it first and they did it best and they did it ALL! KISS is grys! And you can't eat your meat if you don't have any feet. Kiss is cool. But it is hard to sleep when they're around... Unless you like to party!
I got to meet Paul. Guy is very smart, and very down to earth. He’s a high school drop out, IIRC. Just goes to show, you don’t necessarily need the “system” to educate you.
They are lucky they have Eric Singer. He is a beast on the drums, and he has been playing at half capacity ever since he put Criss’ make up on. Go listen to him during the Revenge tour. A freaking drum wizard!
listening to tommy play aces solos note for note makes me see how well the phrasing of those solos was constructed ACE IS(or was) A GREAT PHRASER, hes not a flashy chops guy
I love they er music ,was at cobo for both shows for ALIVE album .took my kids to see them at pine nob ,they put on one hell of a show but sounded like they were reading and not singing .Nothing like original band
in most "Deuce" videos i watched it was the same - during the guitar solo, esp. the second leading to the end the cameras rarely filmed the solo - player - who actually deserved the whole attention - whether it ´d been Ace or Tommy - but instead filmed Gene or Paul most of the time - ey - that isn´t fair!
Best thing about KISS...proving that you're never too old to rock.
