Amazing that Gene and Paul still have that much energy. I know its harder on Gene since his outfit weighs 40-50 pounds but that dude is in amazing shape. I know he will do it for as long as he can and judging by the looks of it I wouldn't be surprised if he's doing this at age 70!!!!

I think this is really cool because the song they played previously was Say Yeah which is the last song on Sonic Boom and then follow it with Deuce which is the first KISS song. Present meets past.

@1970Stanley Nah, what it's about is playing great music, and that is what a lot of people don't realize about Tommy and Eric. They're two accomplished musicians in their own right. Combined with Gene and Paul, and they're the epitome of rock and roll.
KISS sounds tighter then ever. Except for the early seventies, the Creatures line-up and the Revenge line-up, of course.

I recall a statement by Paul's guitar tech last year that the band doesn't use backing tracks. Listen whenever Tommy is soloing here and Paul stops playing. The rhythm guitar never stops. Either they have a backing track or another guitarist behind the stage. Tommy couldn't possibly be soloing and playing rhythm. The parts are in different positions on the neck
Watch Paul's left hand. He's still playing
At 2:31 he throws a pick and the rhythm guitar keeps playing like he is. It's only a second or two, but listen to the guitars.
Just cause he's not strumming doesn't mean he isn't playing. It's so loud he doesn't have to strum. His left hand is still playing the notes
+metalmurcielago I have been a guitarist for the past 11 years, most of it being rhythm guitar. Hammerons are for lead players, not rhythms. The rhythm would be off if he did hammer the chords, and it isn't
