one of my favorite songs, Gene is the reason i started listening to Kiss. I picked up the bass thanks to him. Fan for 37 yrs. and still sticking with them.
My friend turned me on to them back when Love Gun came out and I have thanked him every since. Went with him to my very first concert to see KISS in '77. Love these guys the original band members and the other guys who have came in have done a fantastic job as well.
Right. Because now they're characters that anyone can portray. Before 2000, KISS consisted of four members who chose a design to embellish an interest or an aspect of their own personality. Now, Thayer is portraying Ace's interest in outer space and Singer is expressing Peter's relatability with some cat that he had back in the 70s. Artistically disingenuous.
Yeah. Paul has definitely performed his heart out for decades, and unfortunately it has taken its toll - almost ruining one of the best voices in rock n roll beyond recognition. It’s time to retire, and he knows that.
@@DrewPeabaws he kept pushing his vocals harder and harder on the farewell tour, and then his voice slowly started going until the sonic boom tour when it was absolutely gone
Saw them for the first time in the Lakeland civic center. Kiss alive two I was I kid. Been hooked and cooked every since that day. Next was ac/ dc back in black album Lakeland civic center. Best damn band there ever was..will be...PERIOD...One of my favorite songs, ever...remember staying up til midnight as a kid just to see them on Midnight Special
Their guitar player tommy thayer used to be in an 80s heavy metal band called black n blue. Back when it was still metal before it became pop and acoustic rock.
Looking at the audience, it reminds me of those audiences at old 60s band reunion concerts, filled with guys with grey ponytails and receding hair lines.
After over 40 years of live performances, fans of Kiss are starting to show their age, in the mid to late 1970s all of their fans would have been teenagers, now they're in their 50s and 60s, and you'll find some younger fans also. 😎
What's the deal with this audience? Were it me, I'd be f@cking rocking out LOL. Still love Kiss, even after all these years (I turned 50 in June, been a fan since I was 10 years old!) All the love from Kansas.....
The guitar solo was nailed Tommy did a great job there. these live talk shows are never great as far as music they don't have the right monitors there.
@@epaulk1969 Yeah but Tommy isn't supposed to be Ace. He's his own guy playing the same character which is the spaceman. That being said he does some things like Ace but he also does a lot his own way
@@The_Original_Alex_Channel --- I realize that's exactly how Paul and Gene are trying to spin it, but there's no distinction between Ace and "the spaceman". Ace is, to this day referred to as SpaceAce. Peter is still occasionally referred to as the CatMan. Each original member invented his own persona as an extention of his own being. Spaceman and Catman are nicknames for Ace and Peter. They aren't characters. Batman, on the other hand, is not a nickname for Michael Keaton. Batman is a character. That said, I'm not a hater of either Tommy or Eric. Who can blame them? In fact, I think of Ace and Peter as two screwballs. But Paul and Gene made no big announcement that either Tommy or Eric has joined the band. It's very disingenuous and tacky and it cheapened the legacy of the original four. Hell, in 2001 Paul said, in regards to removing the makeup in 82 (or was it 83?) that "we no longer felt sincere nor comfortable in wearing the makeup and that it should only be worn by the original members."
I noticed they haven't done any new songs. They've been doing the same music they first came out with since the 1970's. I wondered if that meant they just... didn't have any more ideas. I remember hearing Gene Simmons saying they had some fresh composures, but they refuse to play them until free downloading stops. I wouldn't hold my breath... But I guess that's their right. Still... do love this song.
buisyman ...there’s two things here, first watch Stanley screech through Strutter and you’ll wish he had lip synced it, and second, Stanley is synching his entire performance in 2019 on their last tour.

I love Stanley’s energy on stage. ❤️🔥 never gets old.
This song is the story of Gene's early life in rock. He was the man when it came to groupies.
@Fred Jaminson I think that's the point
@The Love Witch he probably can’t get it up anymore anyway.
Prostitution is what gave Gene such a body count. Please.
