Wow I'm really surprised how accurate the information is to my body type and all.
Now I know which foods help my type health wise , thank you!!!
I'm really appreciate that you covered this subject of different body constitutions especially in regards to Ayurveda. I have some base level knowledge on it and was really interested in your thoughts. My constitution is Pitta and I'm a Flamboyant Natural, I even have red hair 😅. I may be a bit Vata leaning though. My boyfriend is Kapha I think, I used to think he is Soft Natural because he has so many of those characteristics, but when I heard about the importance of height in Kibbe, I figured he must be Flamboyant Natural, because he is too tall and clearly a Natural. He was really disappointed when I told him about height cancelling out Soft Natural because he loved being the type. 🥺 he's super into Kibbe too, it saddened him.
So back to Ayurveda, my boyfriend sometimes cooks recipes from Ayurvedic cook books but even though we may be the same Kibbe type, our ayurvedic constitutions are very different and so very different foods make us feel balanced. We basically eat the same things, but they make us feel different.
When I noticed that the types of Ectomorph, Mesomorph and Endomorph align with ayurvedic constitutions, it really stood out to me how in the ancient tradition of Ayurveda, the goal is achieving balance for optimal health and longevity while in the Western constitutions, the mesomorphic type is idealized because the goal is achieving a muscular and fit looking physique. I wish we could get to a more holistic view of health and bodies.
Having such a holistic approach is what I deeply appreciate about Aly. 🙂
Omg! I'm so glad you did this. The first time I watched your videos on the kibbe types, the doshas came to mind, but I just didn't have enough knowledge to put both together. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this
Omg I was not expecting the high level of this video so good. I wish your next video please has to be the 13 types you categorising them into those 3 types.
I feel like Vata symptoms are very similar to hypothyroidism. My dosha is Vata, & turns out I have Hashimoto’s. If you think your dosha might be Vata, please get your doc to check your thyroid. It makes such a big difference.
I am Vata and I do have Hashimoto. Thats insane😳
Pitta vatta here. I am on and off hypothyroidism. I stopped taking the meds because my body told me too about 1.5 years after having a baby and I’ve been balanced for 1.5 years. I know when I need it which is great. I know hashimotos is more intense. Sending hugs!!
When she was describing Kapha, sounded like she was describing me, and I'm a hypothyroidism patient since 16 yo. It's wild how hypothyroidism simptoms can get so rudiculous as to the point of being opposite from patient to patient suffering the same illness. (Sorry about my english)
Such a fascinating introduction to this new topic. Love it. Thanks for making this!
I've been watching you for so long, since I was 13 or 14, I'm 19 now.. you were one of the first channels I ever subscribed to. I remember you responded to my comment years ago and I was so happy 😅 только тебе доверяю ))
Hmmm interesting. I never thought to combine the somatotypes and the doshas, but now that you mention it, I can see it tracks. I think I am a flamboyant gamine (maybe) and a pitta vata dosha. And a meso-ecto type. I suppose that all lines up quite nicely!
I dont have the words right now. Just to Say Your Beautiful Visionary Talent is out of this WORLD HEALTHY for THIS PLANET! Your talking about how we are ALL BEAUTIFUL and how to extend IT OUTWARDS. THIS IS WHAT THIS EARTH NEEDS!!!!!
))))))
honestly its so fascinating how all of these systems match up so seamlessly for me- i’m dramatic, vatta-pitta, and a libra sun/aries moon… so dry airy figure with an airy dosha and air sun sign with a fiery secondary dosha and a fire moon sign
thanks for explaining how conected everything can be its really interesting and fun to compare!!
I’m from India. Appreciate how you take all these into consideration with body types!!
I've often wondered about the possible correlations between Ayurveda and Kibbe, so it was fun to find this video! Of course the two systems serve two different purposes, but it's fun to explore the possibilities. I am most likely a Pitta-Vata and flamboyant natural. Not sure how applicable this concept is, but it's fun to explore the ideas!
This comparison is incredibly interesting. I too have consulted with an aravedic practitioner. I am a Pitta Vata and my Pitta was out of balance. I am still trying to determine if I am a Flamboyant Gamine or possibly Soft Classic. 🤷♀️
Continued discussions on these comparisons could be worthwhile.
I can’t describe how shocked I am. When you talked about Vata- let me tell you everything was right. And the most mind blowing thing was the soup one. I love soup since I can think but my family never understood. They always said that there are more delicious dishes but I always loved it. Now everything makes sense
This is really cool. I grew up with basic knowledge of Ayurveda, and I had an ayurvedic doctor in the south of India when I stayed there for a few months. He really helped me get my health back on track. He told me I was pure vata. I do have elongated limbs and a small head for my body. I have thought about being dramatic, but I just never felt I was sharp enough or tall enough for it. I do consider myself am endomorph, because I can gain and lose weight and build muscle. I've though a lot about the connection between the body types, Ayurveda, and Kibbe, but I haven't figured out out for myself yet.
Amazing video, really well done Aly! Ive grown up with more or less an ayurvedic vegetarian diet but i only learnt about the dosha system few years ago but i feel i have a very good grasp of it so i actually follow these rules in my personal life. I have a major Kapha dosh and minor vata dosh so try to eat like a Pitta person.
I wanted to add another point about the hotness and coolness of the good like certain foods warm your body up while others can cool it down. So kapha people should avoid cold foods like rice, yogurt, cucumber etc they should also avoid oily and heavy stuff like eggplants, kidney beans chickpeas, black gram etc Avoid stuff that is heavy to digest, oily and cold and dont indulge too much in sweets and desserts.
For Pitta you should avoid spicy, overly oily foods, junk food instead prefer foods that cool you down like yogurt salads rice and stuff that doesn't take too long to digest.
For vata you need to avoid food thats too light, dry and cold so try to add more spice and oil or ghee to your diet, you can eat heavier stuff like chickpeas and kidney beans, lentils, legumes.
First thing you have to do is balance out the major dosha then you can incorporate the foods related to that back into your diet with a twist for eg if you have kapha dosha you will avoid cold foods but once you feel you're doing better or missing cold foods you can introduce them back like with rice you can add whole spices to it when u cook it and have it like that so now the rice wont be as cool for your body.
This is really exciting. I’ve been thinking about this for a while now. With doshas, astrology, body type etc. Ive even compared and contrasted enneagrams, Jung’s archetypes, movie characters, Steiner’s theory of temperaments and Anthroposophic medicine. I really enjoy looking at all systems that involving typing of some sort, in a connected way. And comparing and contrasting them. I love that you did this video!!
I feel like I’m 50 Vatta/50 pitta and it shows up incredibly accurate in my daily life, especially with stomach problems and how much I cannot eat spicy foods or do intense cardio exercises.
This video was brilliant. Loved how you tied in the doshas to the body types.
This was out-of-the-box and I enjoyed it. The part about incense was interesting. I never liked incense until I moved to Japan, where it is considered an art. You might like to see if you can purchase some Japanese incense, as it is very pure and delicately scented.
When did you move to Japan? For how long? Why? That's so interesting! Japanese things are sooooo well made I feel like they really take care about quality
@@nectarshrub From 1990-'92, I was on a teaching exchange, where I was treated like royalty. Yes, most Japanese people don't have a lot of room to store things so they don't buy a lot of stuff. They buy high quality so they can keep it forever. And their traditions are respected and valued.
You are a genius. I used to have a hunch about this interconnection while observing family and friends. But you have cracked it! And done a great job explaining it too!
This is such a cool video! Fascinating.. would definitely love to know more about the similarities / connection of Kibbe Types to Ayurveda Body Types. Xx
I am soft natural and my main dosha is pitta. In my younger year i was pita -vata, but as i am now in the first phase of menopausa, i became pitta-kapha. I have to learn to eat less. 😊
Like this video very much, it was useful for me to get informed about my body type and also health and diet.Though this information is from ancient times, but is useful nowadays!
Your makeup looks so pretty!
Very well explained. My husband is kapha-pitta. My my! Does he really likes his dark coffee and asked me to make bitter melon soup. I am Vata which is the opposite but really harmonious.
Kibbie wise, he is either a pure natural or soft natural. I am flamboyant gamine.
I have heard of the elements but I didn't know there were systems. Interesting and I will look into it. I think I'm vata and kapha and I am soft gamine which makes sense. I like the idea of having an expert give their typing and compare the Libbie body types. Celebrities would be a good example.
Dear Aly, thank you so much for this new theme that you give us. It is definitely interesting to understand how to balance our health as well.
I love that your channel allows us to explore our essence and embrace it. I wanted to write to you in last week's video, that while your kibbe series is based on this author's theories, the way you break down the information for us, is the perfect spice to make us want to learn more about it. Thank you for empowering us by allowing us to know that we are unique and beautiful, especially in a time where social media puts so much pressure to tell us that it is only right to look like an influencer.
A lot of those influencers don’t even look like that irl. Check out Stephanie Lang’s channel. Very eye opening
Color me skeptical.
Woah! That was very interesting! I've done three different quizzes and all of them showed that I was Pitta - which is not a surprise because I'm an SN- however, the "undercurrent" proposed each time was "Vatta" which is surprising! Being an SN, I really thought that I would be Kapha too
I also have a pitta-vata constitution and am a very obvious SN :))
Indian here and your ardent follower. Thank you for exploring this concept and considering you are vata which i am too pls explore yoga too. you will love it.
So interesting! Funny- I’ve been learning about Ayurveda recently, and I was wondering how it could be related to Kibbe. I’m Vata Pita and some type of Classic 🤗
I would like a part 2 of this !! this is amazing and I am going to google for more info!
Personally I find all this fascinating and have even learned these body types in college many moons ago.Nobody says you HAVE to adhere to it or direct your life by Ayurveda. Take it as a piece of additional information or leave it, it is your choice.
This is totally new to me. I am very petite with soft fleshy muscle and flesh. I’m half Syrian, one fourth Irish, one fourth Dutch. Quite a combination and quite confusing. I am very interested in balancing my physical, mental and emotional well-being. Thank you for your suggestions on finding out how to do so.
As someone who loves Ayurveda and also loves this channel this is soooooo fun for me to watch
Soft natural, pitta here with an explosive temper! 😁 I love cold salads with plenty of water veggies and fruits, really dislike eating fried, salty food and my daily fennel seed tea time is me time. ❤️ Love this video Aly! Lots of love from India!
These videos are so soothing mostly how she explains things.
Unbelievable true! I'm SN and I guess I'm Kapha Pitta.. Sweating all the time😳 and I love fresh fruity watery perfume
Amazing video it came to my life in a time that i feel the need to balance myself , and this type technique help me so much to find lost pieces in my puzzle 😊
This is an amazing coincidence! I've been following your channel and I just went to an ayurveda workshop this weekend and I actually thought of this kind of overlap between the dosha and kibbe types, and how interesting it would be to find the blueprint for each type. I always felt I have a lot of yin, I'm mostly kapha and Romantic/Theatrical-Romantic.
LOVE your great content! this time you combined 2 things I love learning about: fashion and health. thank you! it always makes me happy to find a new video of yours :)
Yael from Israel
I like to know the visuals, but the part about personality, feels and thoughts, just seems pseudoscience.
Yes agree
You are so cool Aly!! I love led zeppelin!! D'yer Maker is one of my forever favorite songs! Thank you for this video its so helpful!! 💐
Yaaaaay!!! 💪🏻👏😃😃😃😊🤙🏻
I’m trying to add all this to my business , I live in a pretty small town . I wish I could afford to take classes for kibbe and everything you do videos on. Thank you for sharing your knowledge :)
Great description of Ayurvedic principles and simple application. Thanks!
I’m a Soft Dramatic and a Vata mostly with soft flesh that comes from my Kapha. I find it challenging to make balance between them, because somehow they are opposites. Considering that Vata is moving and Kapha is grounded.
ruclips.net/video/5pgZxss93kQ/видео.html
This link might help though
I’m a soft Natural and believe that I’m Vata - Kapha. I feel that they compliment each other and bring natural balance. My metabolism works well and I gain good muscle, the vata helps me to stick to a repetitive healthy eating and long term work out plan. I’m 4 years in approaching 40 and my body is in the best shape ever.
That hair looks so flawless it could be a wig. 😍
Hi! I'm a SG, can I skip contour all together as my cheeks are very chubby and I love them
You can do anything that makes you feel your best version of yourself! If you love your cheeks, don't hide them :)
Yes, you can!
Still watching this but just wanna say how much I love you mentioned Ayurveda cuz I absolutely love the wisdom of it. It definitely parallels kibbe in the sense of viewing people as individual with different parts rather than one main health or beauty.
I have never been able to fully come to a conclusion on whether I am a soft classic or a romantic. Does anyone have any advice that I may not have heard yet? I know these are fairly different types but I am still having a hard time.
Hi, Aly! This topic is so interesting! I did some research and found I'm Vata dominant.
I saw almost all your videos about kibbe body type and I'm still not sure about what's my kibbe. I'm between flamboyant natural and flamboyant gamine (so crazy). But I'm 1,69m and it's not that easy to look at myself having that objective perspective.
The point is I'd love it if you make a video about flamboyant gamines and their influences. After studying I learned that there are "2 types" of FG, one with more natural influence (like Penelope Cruz and Tina Turner) and one with more dramatic influence (like Audrey Hepburn). Not all FG are dry like Audrey, some of them look like "mini naturals", and maybe it's the reason why I'm confused about my own body type.
I feel like FN lines (long dresses, for example) make my head look bigger and weird. But at the same time dressing like Audrey (everything more skinny) looks a kinda suffocating in my curves. It's funny, like I have some tolerance in between natural and FG lines, but I don't think I look good in only one of them. My body is mixed: long thin hands and feet, long arms and legs, short torso, but a big head. I look short in pictures but tall in person, hahaha
Anyway, I think it's a rich topic to explore in a video, I hope you do it. Thanks very much for all the amazing content you share ❤
This vid actually talks about that. Two different FG's. It has English subtitles if you're interested 🙂
ruclips.net/video/_ImDR9nHh7Q/видео.html
I finally came to the determination that I am SD. I am also Pitta-Vata but I tend toward Kapha imbalance. I am very, very Kapha imbalanced right now. I do tend to have a good bit of muscle and I have wide shoulders but slim hips. Fine, but thick hair that is not red, but has a lot of red to it. Definitely a romantic type, with a small waist when not imbalanced, but definitely not Romantic of Theatrical Romantic.
This is so interesting. Excellent content as usual. Thank you, Aly.
You may know that Yin and Yang come from Taoism and can be learned about in the I Ching. ☯️
BTW it’s pronounced /yïn/ not /yïng/.
I've never heared of this things before.Very interesting video Aly !
I had heard about body types mezo, endo, ecto before, I used to be interested in diet and exercise a lot, but this is the first time I hear about pitta / vata / kapha 🤔 love your videos Aly 💖
Love your videos!!!! Thank you for your knowledge!!!!!!!
9:20 I think my dad is a pitta but he's lactose intolerant💀
It does makes a lot of sense. I am so intrigued. I am Romantic, with good athletic ability and works out/dance routinely. According to your description, I have significant earthy water and spacey air, very obvious. A little bit fire, not 0. No matter how much muscle I have, I never look muscular, so true. I have to have fresh air, otherwise I feel stickiness in the air.
This is brilliant! Thank you so much 💓
How do you do your hair color?? It's amazing !!
Wow, you opened my eyes with the ayurvedic types! Thank you so much! 😍
This is so crazy because why does it make sense and kinda true omg...
!!! my favorite video, spasibo :)
My boyfriend is fully vatta: he is all times cold, loses weight without trying, all the book. But he hates spicy foods, eats without any salt, at least he likes sweet :) I'm a kapha (also soft natural)
I'm a meso endomorph (predominantly meso musculature with some endo softness). Kibbe type is undecided but either natural or gamine. I got loads of Bs and Ds. Some a but only for face.
Stand 5'0 tall however.
Anyone can point me in which of the 2 kibbe types I'm likely to be?
FG.
Can you add more recommendations or tips or photos for dramatic classic in your Pinterest account please?
So happy for this video, I love your content very much, very intellectual, serious and explained so good!
I think I could be a pita-vata, I'm DC, muscular, lean, slightly heavier bones, average height, my bones and musles are showing even with a bit more weight on.
Aly, you’re just so fascinating! I always learn so much from you. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your informative videos. 💖
I believe it is oud that is burned through out Saudi Arabia.
Such an interesting topic, and the way you presented similarities to Kibbie! Now I am very curious to learn about Ayurveda.
Sounds like I'm all three 😂
I am Soft Dramatic and Vata Kapha. Thats so crazy, how just everything makes such Sense!!!
The Vata/Pitta/Kapha combination of types you have is supposed to be essentially in your genetic makeup, so it can't change during your lifetime, right?
Love your videoes Aly !
Oh my gosh the closed window reference, is so me!
Thank You, very good explanation.
Wow this is amazing, i knew about ayurvedic body classifications and i was very surprised how even kibbe classification sat so right with me. I am vata dominant and vata dominance causes the body type to be a certain type depending on where in the body vata is expressing. For e.g. vata causes body to be a lil petite, hair is wavy, etc. And in kibbe i am theatrical romantic which is also about some similar things. And m so surprised to come across this video. Anyway so those who had probs thinking this is belief system it's actually about how the body digests and assimilates food. If while assimilation excess of juices are released it causes kapha dominance, excess of bile is pitta dominant and excess of gas is vata dominant. Which causes the body to develop in different ways. Everybody is dominant in one, and when it is balanced well it causes people to express unique great traits. Vata dominant people for eg can think a lot are creative, i am in research field.
That's so funny, I look at the 3 and immediately think vatta are the naturals and dramatics, and pitta are the classics and romantics. Kapha I think would be the soft variations
Well I am Dramatic and I can already tell from watching this video that I am mainly Vata. I am very similar to you in being cold all the time, loving hearty soups and those spicy, musk scents. I do lots of type of exercise but I always need to include yoga in my routine to help with my anxiety and mentally ground me. I am going to do more research about this now. Thanks.
Aly, thanks! So interesting 👍
Very interesting topic. I'm confirmed Vata/Kapha and I perceive myself as a Flamboyant Gamine. I'm 164cm and have a medium figure (pita looking but I guess it's the vata/kapha mix, very tricky and confusing).
I really appreciate your videos thank you so much for making them! They way you explain things is so encouraging.
Would you consider doing a video aimed at transwomen? How to soften and feminize appearance or even how to embrace more masculine aspects... Id love to hear your opinions. Could also apply to females who feel they look too masculine for the current beauty standards.
Dear Aly, this is such a eyeopener! I am a Kapha-Vata and now pretty sure that I know my kibbe type now. Very interesting thoughts, please more of that💜🙏🏽
Can I ask, what is your kibbe type ? I am also feeling as though I match with Kappa/Vitta.
I'm also Kapha. What is your type?
@@vampirexion Soft-Dramatic~ whats yours?
@@lindap.5921 same! A shorter one, though. 5'4" but with a long vertical line.
I love that you listen to Led Zeppelin....my top favorite
This is so interesting! When you started talking about what happens when there is too much of one...immediately...Pitta due to psoriasis. Then you said Kapha many soft naturals here, so I was like hmmm. Then you said, some kinds have both and then it was "bingo!" 😁😆 So, I have some Pitta Kapha. Thank you again. Loved it! 💗
omg. I love this video of yours , it is so informative !!! But idk what I am haha. I can gain weight easily if i eat pasta cakes etc but I also get very cold easily , maybe I have vata and kapha combination ?
Thank you very much ♥️
Im a soft dramatic! I resonate with Vata and Kapha, but I lean towards Vata more. I get so cold, forgetful, and I have some really dry skin. Thank you for introducing me to such an interesting topic. ☺️✌🏻
omg this video really helped me thank you ally
im flamboyant natural (close to dramatic) and vata dosha
my body is very tall and thin and have problem with grounding myself
Very interesting
I love the idea of relating the doshas to Kibbe types. I’m a vata and a dramatic
I discovered I am a Mesomorph in the Somatotypes and it is crazy because I always suspected I was a soft natural which is known to be athletic type just like a Mesomorph .....
What if you are Vata and Kapha? Air and Earth?
I always thought it was weird. I get hot easily but can live through it, it wakes me up, while the cold makes me sleepy but I am more relaxed with the cold. I always crave Sour things, sometimes sweet and salty randomly. But when I am not feeling good sour and spicy things really help me. I am a very sleepy person and talk fast and can have burst if energy and then become drowsy and slow. People see me as a happy and cheerful person that is relaxed and pretty calm most of the time. So Vata and Kapha suit me the most huh?
Very interesting i have a mix of vata pitta and kapha and turns out i am a gamine type. I am curious how a classic would present, perhaps very similarly
What bronzer are you wearing? I need it
The way I’m a soft dramatic, thought I was a vata kapha and then you said the same thing- i feel like i understood this technique pretty well! And it fits me too
Aly, what’s your height?
I have always perceived myself as a natural, my height is 164 cm, but people always think I’m smaller and look like a child
love it:)
