There’s some sort of discrimination against natural types especially in some kibbe forums. A lot of people think that a naturals can’t be feminine and looks broad and masculine. Also a lot of people tend to place most women in some sort of natural category when being typed in these forums. So it seems very common and not “special”. This is what I’ve noticed.
Hear, hear! I've noticed it too, and it really used to hurt my self esteem...A lot :') It's really strange too. I think it's because Kibbe himself also has a kind of bias against naturals; calling them "wide" not "delicate", and all. But at the same time, he uplifts all the other women, especially if they have "softness".
@@AutumnBRreeze I’m not speaking of celebrities. Most people don’t look like them or have the means to invest so heavily in their look. This is on the kibbe Reddit forum where a lot of people go to get typed.
yeah I find that weird because it seems like the majority of supermodels since the 80s up until today are flamboyant natural. In my friend group by far the most attractive women are FN and N.
I am a natural.I don't wear boho, separates and all the other stereotypes.I adjusted and combined the relaxed siluette with dresses and feminine looks. And I love it It s all about combining what you like with what works best for you
@@robinarman7300 I would not consider Polos adequate for Naturals, or a sporty piece at all. The cut is not flattering for someone with a natural frame.
2:28 YESSS!!! the kibbe community makes it seem like every classic only looks good on business casual stuff, unless you're a SC, then you should dress like a 1920's housewife. that actually used to upset me a lot when i discovered myself as an SC because i thought i would have to give up my edgy aesthetic lol
I feel I'm a flamboyant classic mixeh with gamine. The classic can do most styles, I just stick to long vertical line, no over garish patterns, some symmetry. If you know what tips it over the edge into looking wrong, it's more useful than sticking to rigid rules. There are so many small details that make it right or wrong for you. I often get compliments for my style so I must be doing it right. Two dresses can look similar, but the colour, pattern, or cut can make a huge difference. I do have a good eye for this but you can train it, by being open minded but critical at the same time. Small differences in body proportions between types also tip the difference. And above all you should like and feel comfortable in the clothes you wear and enjoy wearing them.
Now that I know my body type is flamboyant natural I can start to accept and see my own beauty. I always idolized certain body types over my own but now I know that I can’t change my frame no matter how skinny I try to be 🤷🏽♀️
I realized that myself. No matter how much weight I lose, my frame is not going to shrink. So imstead of trying to conform to a different body type, I researching feminine pieces and tailoring it into my body type
Ooh love this kind of video - maybe you could do one for each type, where you discuss how for example a gamine can make any kind of look/occasion, like classic, boho, dramatic, romantic, etc suit them as a gamine?
In general, I think some conflate body type words like “ classic” or “natural” with how they perceive themselves or who are their style icons rather than looking at their body type. A “dramatic’ may look best based on bone structure and frame to more linear, structured garments. A “natural” body type looks greatest in certain pieces. Some are interpreting body type with personality. I think that’s a mistake and a misconception about body type.
yes, when i was first working out my type I thought I must be natural, and couldn't possibly be soft dramatic because I didn't relate at all to the 'glamour' or 'diva-chic' descriptions of SD. Now I realise I couldn't possibly be any other type, and it makes it sooo much easier to find outfits that suit. Still struggle with truly casual...
As I understand it, from Aly, and others, is that it's about proportions and balance for (or rather coming from) one's "vibe". The type sets the "thermostat" pivotal point. Like in the winter, if it's a sunny day you think it's warm, but the same temerature in high summer would be cold. Or a classic museum with really high ceiling and large rooms, where very big paintings look normal and like they belong there, but where a medium sized painting would look small, albeit in your home it would dominate the room. So everyone can express all styles, it's just that the starting point is different.
I'm romantic (not sure but yet) and for real when I wear straight blazer it'll look so bulky so big so straight and heavy on me (as if I'm wearing my dad's clothes) but when I wear something similar also formal but with different or softer fabrics and pretty light it'll look soooo fit and elegant and put together! It's so interesting noticing how different fibers/shapes will change the whole quality of your look even if it's the same style.
I'm a sot dramatic and I love the aesthetic of my type but I am a hippie at heart and I think I rock the boho look that people associate with soft naturals. I see Kibbe as set of guidelines rather than hard and fast rules..
Same! Before I discovered Kibbe types I remember my mom telling me that my style was "hippie glam" Turns out she was right! I think boho really lends itself to SD as we look good in ornamentation (bangly bracelets and earings, etc) my big wavy hair....definitely great on us
We would really appreciate a video about “SUITS” for the body types! Also I would like to request that the pictures are as realistic for office and meetings as possible (blouse recommendations as well) , so full formal outfit details with accessories ,blouses and shoes instead of bear chest with suit looks like we see on the red catrpet etc if you know what I mean 💗💗 Thankyou!💗💗
You are possibly more than one type? My appearance has some features from other categories but the majority of my type is dramatic classic. I'm also drawn to this type and always have been so it fits my vibe too.
This video was so necessary! When I discovered Kibbe, I fell in the majority of these traps. Getting to really understand his system is definitely a journey that takes time and effort. This is how you know it's worth it. Thanks for your work, Aly! I learnt a lot!
I think another stereotype I've seen is that FN can't have ANY waist emphasis, and must pretty much always wear big floppy clothing that hangs like a shapeless bag. As an FN who loves all things girly and princessy and vintage, this was really disheartening to me. :') However, I've started learning to take this more as a suggestion, and instead of thinking "I need to somehow make my wardrobe more baggy" I changed my mindset to "how can I use what I already have and love in my wardrobe to accentuate my long line?" Still a bit of a journey, but I'm getting there! (If anyone has any recommendations for how to incorporate FN lines into a girly style, would love to hear it!)
Yes! I'm a super girly FN too. I've incorporated some looser, flowy styles into my closet since figuring out I'm this type. But I still hate very, very baggy things and I still love skinny jeans (Gen Z can pull them out of my cold dead hands hehe). I also think Kate Middleton is a great example of how we can actually even pull off a very classic, tailored style.
@@dmac6704 Yes I'm positive she's a FN. She has "Kibbe width" in her chest/shoulders, just with a narrow waist. FN is a Natural with Dramatic influence after all and I think some of us FNs have more Dramatic in us than others.
Thanks for creating this video! I think we need these reminders, this system is complex & there’s a lot of confusing (or just bad) advice online. Your “What not to wear for each type” is also really helpful, but this is a good alternative approach to learning it. Quick note: Bette Davis’ first name is pronounced like “Betty”, just a heads up! She’s iconic for many reasons, and I imagine you’ll bring her up more ☺️
After many years of watching your videos and trying things out I have finally found my bodytype. It’s amazing how things changed for me after I found out. Thank you for helping us to feel and look our best♥️✨
@@Cynthia-nk3ob to be honest, just by watching the videos about the body types over and over again and looking definitions up. Taking the tests once in a while was also helpful as I noticed that I became more aware of how my bone structure really looks like. It’s a long process but your eyes get trained over time. I remember that at the beginning, I did not see when someone didn’t look their best in one outfit but looked better in the other. In my eyes both looked kinda the same. But over time you will see the differences, you will notice when someone is dragged down by what they wear. And trying things on was also very helpful. When you wear your lines you will look more awake, alive and put together and it won’t look awkward. I Hope that helped💗
@@sbkj2261 OMG, I'm doomed🤣 I love the boho chic look. I found item's I can incorporate & the classic look is always a go to!!! I love... Love... "Long to the floor skirt's" hard to find & hard to find one's that are office/formal that are appropriate. I did find 1 very nice long skirt for a dressy occasion. Many for casual I love them 💖
As a glamourous type i have to have the glamour, otherwise it just doesn’t work. I look undone, frumpy and not like myself. I am happy with the style types and recommendations, they really work so well. 💕🙏
Hi mickey11: iam DC but want to ASK you, how you do it/this...do you make your air Like Sophia Loren or wear huge chains/earrings or use a Eyeliner? Greetings from Germany.
Aly, do you have any takes on color palettes? I've never consulted a professional, but I believe I work pretty well with the deep winter palette. And as a romantic, I like drapes and soft materials but never in soft colors (baby pink, light blue, too much white).
Nothing is going to stop me from wearing bodycon 😂 people seem to think of bodycon as squeezing the body but in my experience it's just gently outlining the body. As I'm so petite, delicate and curvy I need fittedness or I get buried. Bodycon allows me to shine and not look child-like and buried in my clothes, but rather, more mature and put together .
14:49 i've actually noticed quite a few women in music videos from the 80's wearing similar dresses, there are also some quite famous pictures of Cindy Crawford sporting a similar, tight and short dress.
Hahaha as a SC that picture of Marion Cotillard in the dress with blue flowers is exactly how I feel when I try on a dress without any waist definition… where did I go??
I'm a FG but i feel better in classic, minimal style (especially during winter) or girly style (in summer) . I'm a Summer too. So i was shocked when i realized that i should wear like a rocker or with eccentric stamps etc...Too far from my style. I thought "everything but no a FG". Right now i have no problems with my body type even if i should study more to choosing and matching clothes properly.
Hi Aly, I’m a man and I’m having a lot of trouble on trying to find my kibble body type (TR x R) and also having trouble to find what kind of clothes to wear, so that it could help find my body type faster! Love your videos
are you more johnny depp and orlando bloom (tr) or more leonardo dicaprio and elvis (r)? its not that important within a type family if you borrow from the other :)
@@salsadip7453 More of a Romantic, but I still have some sharpness in me I just don’t know if it’s enough for me to be considered a TR! My mom for example is a TR for sure, but I mean i’ve had a lot of female videos to figure out my mom’s body type. When it comes to men there’s almost nothing so I do still get a little confused in which one of the two am I?
@@jojotention for me its the opposite, my mom is a R while im a TR, haha :) we wear a lot of the same clothes actually. she just can handle more ruffles than me before it looks ridiculous. for men id say the hair is the most important, a friend of mine (R) looks the best when he embraces his wavy hair and doenst try to wear it straight /brushed trough. idk about your hair type, but romantics and trs need both softer styles. both can wear scarfes and it looks very sophisticated. also taking into account your "12 seasons colour analysis" type is important. my friend wears a lot of light colours, but hes cool toned, so he wears cool colours, even pastells and it does not look childish or "unmanly". the classy style, like business casual is a great start, then build from there or just look into your closet, often what you already have is what fits you the best. (depending on how old you are ofc) if you take a quick google search, theres the excerpt of kibbes book on romantic men available, i dont remember if i found it direclty via google or via reddit tho. i think its not what you want to hear, but it doesnt matter that much if you wear more TR or R clothes, as we can easily borrow from the other. if ot doesnt look good, you will definetly know, it wont feel right. happy experimenting! :)
@@salsadip7453 100%! I got curly hair and it certainly matches me better now that I am more confident about it. I think my style would be more of a male version of “female fatales”, classy but there’s that sensuality about it. It’s so funny how everything feels like it was meant to be like that you know? my hair is curly and I’m a romantic, even my seasonal color is soft autumn which adds to the inteire softness of my body, dk, it’s just very curious how everything falls into place…at least for me. But yeah, thank u for the reply it certainly helped me see things from another point of view! Still I would love if Aly did more videos for men😂
A controversial opinion about Morena Baccari is that i really think that pixie, short hair looks good on her. It's part of her personality, goes well with hdr facial features and the contrast that make to her body structure, making her body look even bigger, is something that, at least for me is visually beautiful. Although I'm not that sure about the short dresses thar she used to dress.
Well, i would like to see how Naturals can dress "sexily". Cuz maybe we have the stereotype that we can only be "girl next door, homely, simple, and indeed natural" looking. I'd love to see how we can be sexy and glamorous! 💕
Sexy is an inner quality, it's not the clothes. I don't like titillating men who do not love or respect me now do I need strangers finding me sexy. I find that bizarre personally. Femininity is so much more than sex appeal.
Thank you thank you thank you Aly, for your extremly informative, inclusive and well made videos. I find them so much more interesting and entertaining than any other "beauty"/fashion channel. Your videos really helped me love my body ❤️ and I think that's not just me
I am a 5'3" DC (I think) and I used to rock FG styles. I believe I "aged out" being 56 and mostly look good in Dramatic styles. Thank you for your amazing content.❤
This sounds very much like my experience too. I think it's just having to simplify your style as you get older, or maybe because we don't care much about the male gaze anymore, and feel good in our own skins, and we have learned what really works for us, never mind what the trend is, or what other people think!
This is my favourite of all of your vids so far You took every bodytype stereotype and destroyed it example after example and showed us that within one body type category there's so so so many different personalities who choose to express themselves in any way they want
Love this video! I think I'm romantic type, so I used to feel overwhelmed like I have to dress up or wear bright colors all the time. I am working on improving my self esteem, so I really appreciate all your insights and videos ❤️
Dear Ally, this video really helped me understand the types more! Thank you!! I was thinking maybe sometime you could make a video for us "edgy", alternative types? As a 6´2 soft dramatic I want to avoid looking silly and having straight blue hair that elegant glam vibe gets significantly harder to achieve 😁
Exactly !!!! All tiny petite wemon in this video including the creator of the video. Not 1 example of "all types" Better would be a variety of different/all body types. Even then ppl who make clothing can't even get the sizes correct.. IDC if it's China to Australia... A size is a size no matter if it's inches/centimeters/millimeters ECT. Not trying to bash this lady, however she's in that tiny petite catagory like all her models in this video.
@@shirin9452 yea it is but from what I've learned over the months the lines and shapes make certain vibes. Ex: I'm soft gamine and the word i hear for this type alot is "doll" because our lines make us look like small dolls. What i take from that is that if you can make it look good on a doll. You can make it look good on an SF.
@@epictetushasepictiddiez2615 interesting, I took it more as if you want to do a boho style, find something that has the print and the vibe but is in your lines-aka broken up and shorter. Or let’s say you wanted more of a theatrical romantic look. Then you could do the v-neck/sweetheart neckline and the fitted trousers that taper at the ankle, but with color blocking and some more geometric patterns perhaps. If a romantic wanted to do a natural look, they’d want to make sure whatever drapey, deconstructed piece they pick still emphasizes the waist and maybe shows off their legs as well. I really thought it was about embracing the style fully but using your lines to make the clothes look good on you.
“You won’t look like a balloon” -LOL Aly🤣 we SN have similar problems as romantics but with straight waist and big upper body and big boobs🤣 definitely feel like a balloon a lot.
@@Cynthia-nk3ob i mean, if you give a score to how good clothes look on you, not everything is either 1 star or 10 stars. Clothes not for your kibbe type is not automatically ugly, many still will be in that range of "wow...not bad 😊". Although, I feel like the natural body type , clothes always looks amazing on them no matter the style.
I’ve always loved the cool avant-garde street style a la man-repeller (RIP). But I feel like the funky pops of color look out of place on my natural body type. Like the clothes are wearing me instead of the other way around 😕
I’m not sure what that style is but it sounds fun ^^ but if you choose a bit more of a Drapey or relaxed fit in that style with some tousled hair, it might look amazing on you :)
Great video as usual 👌 I LOVE a mote detailed video on different clothes for classics....I'm C leaning towards DC, and I swear my uniform for the past 20 years has been 7/8 capris and a blazer 😂
I wish you could use some of the ladies from The Real Housewives. Even just a video typing them ❤️ They dress up a little more than I ever have to but I can’t get through an episode trying to figure out their type and whether they are honoring their lines
Hi Aly! Could you provide subtitles in Portuguese, please? I'm from Brazil and here I don't find professionals like you who approach this subject with such richness. Thank you!
I'm Soft Gamine and TBH I kind hate the "cute doll" looks because it doesn't fit with my skin tone (pastels don't go well with me lol) and I'm using Bette Davis as an Inspiration recently and she is amazing. HEr style was everything.
Hei ! Thank you for saying that Kim K is not theatrical romantic. I don’t understand how people can say that. I am theatrical romantic and i have nothing to do with her, and her vibe, or with celebrities who had a lot of surgeries. But when I read what Kibbe says about theatrical romantic and when I look at myself, I know I am a real one.
@@labornurse Actually, she can be, you have to go off pictures of her oringinal body, Aly has an entire video where typed Kim.K from old pictures from before the surgeries, she's Soft Natural.
These days the word Chic is added to things that are not chic at all. I believe it started with Shabby Chic? Now it’s as you say Porn Chic? Chic is defined by being smart, elegant and sophisticated. These things they tack the word Chic to, are non of those things. I love your content and how you present it. it is indeed Chic!
Great vid 👍 I liked it cuz all body types aren't forced to wear the one style, but we can wear varieties even if we're a certain type. But following the right guidelines of course 😁
I'm still confused whether I'm a Romantic or SG. I took the test series and it categorized me as a Romantic. But my face features are SG. My face is pretty round and wide. I don't have a sharp jawline or chin or nose or cheekbones but I dont even have full lips like a Romantic type. Also I'm pretty petite under 150cm, my hands and feet are small and wide and I'm overweight. The more I watch, the more get confused between this two types.
I had a similar problem, choosing between R or SG. I'm 157 cm and currently overweight. I decided to go with the clothing suggestions that are similar within those two categories: soft fabrics, defined waist, feminine shoes, no unconstructed, wide silhouettes. It helps to look at these common elements when shopping, and I see how I like the specific details (color, size of ruffles, vibe, whatever) when I try them on. For me, Kibbe system is like a signpost that points the way, not a box I have to fit in.
Sometimes your face is not the same like your body. For example, I have thin lips and a sharp nose, but upturned, medium sized eyes, a soft jawline and soft cheeks. It is rather soft dramatic or theatrical romantic, I'm not sure. But my body is 100 percent romantic, no doubt about it. Overall my "romanticism" dominates my look, so I am an atypical romantic. I guess so are you. :)
I would love some input on height! Whether you can be a romantic type but be 5’6, 5’7 :) a lot of people seem to think yes and a lot seem to think no. I’d love to know your personal opinion :)
@@AutumnBRreeze I think you’re partially right but TR’s also have narrower bones and slight angularity (if that’s a word?). Im wondering about women such as myself who are 5’7, but aside from that every other characteristic is R hehe.
@@FrootKat I would say yes. Height is so dependent on your family's genetics that I think it's the least important indicator of what your type is. If the difference to the typical height range was drastic (say you were 180 cm), then I would reconsider, but not with your height. :)
What was Florence Henderson? I actually liked the fuller ,60's style short hair on her better than the flat short hair, and definitely better than the fringe almost mullet like hair on her. Was she a dramatic classic?
@@sherbetlemons oh yes, I feel you in this last sentence!! Looks horrible but it's what I've gotten myself used to during the last years. I always thought I could not be SD because of Kibbe's "diva chic" etc but my lines are clearly SD. The pants you mentioned sound like they look better with a little heel? I am so tall already, I don't want to wear heels in everyday life and make myself even taller. maybe the high leg straight pants work with sneakers as well? I have not seen many casual sneaker looks for SD so far and don't know if it's because of Kibbe's interpretation of the personality of someone with SD lines or if it's harder to wear them as a SD. What do you think?
Anyone interested in helping me classify the Kibbe body type of a small list of 15-20 celebrities?😊 It will be PAID Please comment if you are interested Thank you in advance❤

I'm dramatic classic and a stereotype I see is that everything is suits and masculine, but honestly I notice I look best when I have those "60's" short, fitted dress outfits. And I really enjoy outfits with a little bit of frill (not too much or it makes me look bigger) as I like feeling feminine and romantic. @@lilibetp Looks-wise she's a much better model for dramatic classic, though she wouldn't be my first pick for "iconic dramatic classic". She's not enough of a household name
If you gain weight does your body type change? Or would you still be the same body type with more weight? Like if when skinny your more classic but with weight look more curvaceous or romantic?
😂😂😂 Mango employee tried very hard, time ago to get me STUCK with a funny gamine piece like a flowery teapot, with that fluffy sleeves, which a dislike heavily, the proportion for me as gamine is a foulard..no more Mango of course. Structures make a lot too, both bones vs. clothes, you could talk about that as well in another video 😁 tx.
What kibbe am i for a medium length rectangle with large bone structure and thin face? I thought i was classic but my shoulders are too strong i think. I followed all your links and videos about discovering my type but honestly im still not sure. I remember buying several blazers - about 10 in total, - because of ‘classic’ - i never wore any of the blazers.
@@cinderling5472 i actually did the day after writing this comment.... i decided to redo the photo and questionnaire. Most of my answers were B but the last section for eyes, cheeks, jawline i got all c. So bone structure is natural and face is classic. I do have a lot of bohemian clothes as do i classic clothes. I realized that perhaps the reason why office style collared shirts, loose dolman sleeve tops, oversized blazers , don’t work on me is perhaps because it contrasts my facial features too much - where if i wear a pajama collar shirt, puff shoulder blouse and single breast single button blazers it does suit my face too. My favorite pieces are boho dresses with slight or no waist def , round neck tops with tunic neckline and medium contrast dressing for my ginger complexion. Thank you for replying.
Hi, I really like what Aly mentioned. But since I am young, I was thinking I was a soft gamine…but I am 5’ 6´´ so if I am not what will it be …I am now 58 years but do not feel like it…I like simple look…
So I’ve taken the quiz and I’m a dramatic, but what if I don’t like dramatic style? I really like gamine, or natural classic much more. Dramatic has very boring clothes. Does anyone else relate to this?
Listen, this is just a guidline, and i don't understand why people are so obssedsed over it , like to follow it blindly, so you can wear whatever you want and have any look you want as long as you feel good in it...😊

You're description of the bodycon dresses 😂😂 I love this vid btw, so positive as always and informative thank uuu
I also love boho for SDs gives us that ethereal sprinkle
@@visa9313 Exactly! And ethereal is drama as far as I'm concerned :)
Ditto, I feel like the super glam 1940s actresses we are shown is a little extra for me, even though I’m SD too.
Merriam is responsible for all these “stereotypes” Kibbe definitely doesn’t believe that naturals are bohemian.
Also I would like to request that the pictures are as realistic for office and meetings as possible (blouse recommendations as well) , so full formal outfit details with accessories ,blouses and shoes instead of bear chest with suit looks like we see on the red catrpet etc if you know what I mean 💗💗
Thankyou!💗💗
I have been watching your body types videos for years, but I still can't figure out what my type is 🤣🥲 Love the content tho 😍
Post on the kibbe subreddit
Me too ...
You are possibly more than one type? My appearance has some features from other categories but the majority of my type is dramatic classic. I'm also drawn to this type and always have been so it fits my vibe too.
Same here.
Great video.
I think that bodycon started with Hervé Léger’s bandage dresses in the ‘80s
This video was so necessary! When I discovered Kibbe, I fell in the majority of these traps. Getting to really understand his system is definitely a journey that takes time and effort. This is how you know it's worth it. Thanks for your work, Aly! I learnt a lot!
I think another stereotype I've seen is that FN can't have ANY waist emphasis, and must pretty much always wear big floppy clothing that hangs like a shapeless bag. As an FN who loves all things girly and princessy and vintage, this was really disheartening to me. :')
However, I've started learning to take this more as a suggestion, and instead of thinking "I need to somehow make my wardrobe more baggy" I changed my mindset to "how can I use what I already have and love in my wardrobe to accentuate my long line?" Still a bit of a journey, but I'm getting there!
Honestly I look horrible in waist emphasis as an fn. my curves show and look better without waist emphasis than with it.
Empire waist, high waisted A-line dresses, high waisted baby doll dresses, peplum tops, a line or pleated skirts (to balance out the wider top half)
@@Cammay15 is Kate Middleton a FN?? Surely she is too slim and sharp to be this type, no? Maybe back in the day yes…
@@dmac6704 Yes I'm positive she's a FN. She has "Kibbe width" in her chest/shoulders, just with a narrow waist. FN is a Natural with Dramatic influence after all and I think some of us FNs have more Dramatic in us than others.
I'd absolutely love to see a video on classic style for romantics!
She’s iconic for many reasons, and I imagine you’ll bring her up more ☺️
I would love a video on casual clothes/tomboy/modest clothing for the body types
A day to day look, that can go anywhere... From church to a picnic in a park .. perfect question
Yes!! I can’t wait to see glam for dramatic classics!
Listening to Ally relaxes me so much. She’s so calm and knowledgeable and kind and somehow she has a melody in her speech that makes me so Happy! :D
After many years of watching your videos and trying things out I have finally found my bodytype. It’s amazing how things changed for me after I found out. Thank you for helping us to feel and look our best♥️✨
How did you finally figure out what your type was ????

OMG, I'm doomed🤣 I love the boho chic look. I found item's I can incorporate & the classic look is always a go to!!!
I love... Love... "Long to the floor skirt's" hard to find & hard to find one's that are office/formal that are appropriate.
I did find 1 very nice long skirt for a dressy occasion. Many for casual
I love them 💖
Yes, watching videos of Aly Art and Merriam style over and over again trained my eye.
I'm a soft natural, and I hate boho style haha. I rather follow basically the soft natural line but pull my own pallet/patterns/style.
As a glamourous type i have to have the glamour, otherwise it just doesn’t work. I look undone, frumpy and not like myself. I am happy with the style types and recommendations, they really work so well. 💕🙏
I am a TR and agree completely with What you said
Hi mickey11: iam DC but want to ASK you, how you do it/this...do you make your air Like Sophia Loren or wear huge chains/earrings or use a Eyeliner? Greetings from Germany.
@@ilinel1321 and ili nel: what is your Secret, how you Style yourself?
Aly, do you have any takes on color palettes? I've never consulted a professional, but I believe I work pretty well with the deep winter palette. And as a romantic, I like drapes and soft materials but never in soft colors (baby pink, light blue, too much white).
I loved it when you politely trashed bodycon dresses someone had to
Nothing is going to stop me from wearing bodycon 😂 people seem to think of bodycon as squeezing the body but in my experience it's just gently outlining the body. As I'm so petite, delicate and curvy I need fittedness or I get buried. Bodycon allows me to shine and not look child-like and buried in my clothes, but rather, more mature and put together .
Please, please please Aly, do a video on Wedding dresses for the different body type!
14:49 i've actually noticed quite a few women in music videos from the 80's wearing similar dresses, there are also some quite famous pictures of Cindy Crawford sporting a similar, tight and short dress.
I don't think that the item itself is necessarily trashy...
I think on theatrical romantics, bodycon dresses need to be balanced by accessories, glam hair, etc
It always seemed to me that half of the Instagram divas are N's) they dress extremely sexy and it suits them
Scarlett Johansson and Bella Hadid are good examples. And Jennifer Aniston has also dressed sexy
Sexy is an inner quality, it's not the clothes. I don't like titillating men who do not love or respect me now do I need strangers finding me sexy. I find that bizarre personally.
Femininity is so much more than sex appeal.
Depends on whether you are leaning more FN or SN.
Thank you thank you thank you Aly, for your extremly informative, inclusive and well made videos. I find them so much more interesting and entertaining than any other "beauty"/fashion channel. Your videos really helped me love my body ❤️ and I think that's not just me
You are so right Karin, Kibbe is Like an epiphany...
This is my favourite of all of your vids so far
You took every bodytype stereotype and destroyed it example after example and showed us that within one body type category there's so so so many different personalities who choose to express themselves in any way they want
Love the effort you put in! The pictures really help visualise what you're explaining! Thanks so much x
So basically, if you're able to make clothes/hair/ makeup fit your vibe, you can wear anything

I thought the point was more that Kibbe is about line and shape not a specific style
Great video - I like the idea of trying different styles but dressing for my body.
“You won’t look like a balloon” -LOL Aly🤣 we SN have similar problems as romantics but with straight waist and big upper body and big boobs🤣 definitely feel like a balloon a lot.
Sometimes, clothes loooks like a 5, 6 or 7 on you, and that's good enough. Not every clothes is a 10.
What does that even mean ???
@@Cynthia-nk3ob i mean, if you give a score to how good clothes look on you, not everything is either 1 star or 10 stars. Clothes not for your kibbe type is not automatically ugly, many still will be in that range of "wow...not bad 😊".
Although, I feel like the natural body type , clothes always looks amazing on them no matter the style.

Gotcha... I didn't know what you meant... Now I do... Thank's
Please do patterns (big, intricate), colors schemes (muted/contrast) and also accessories as stereotypes for the different Kibbe types.
Great video, could you do something on wedding dresses for each body type?
That would be great 🙏🙏😊
What about a romantic who has a flat chest? You mention romantics with full chest. But I am not like that I have small chest but really big hips.

How’d you figure out what body type you are?
I think she has tinkered so much with her shape artificially, that she can no longer be categorized.

Could you make videos on different sportswear/swimwear for the body types? I think it would be fun
I don't believe body types don't change with weight gain.
Love your channel, great videos!

What about to see of us that are very large in the bust and very narrow and straight hips ?

I am so tall already, I don't want to wear heels in everyday life and make myself even taller. maybe the high leg straight pants work with sneakers as well? I have not seen many casual sneaker looks for SD so far and don't know if it's because of Kibbe's interpretation of the personality of someone with SD lines or if it's harder to wear them as a SD.
