You will also see the third organ of St. Mary's in this concert.

I know this wasn't scored for Organ when it was written, but it's certainly the most powerful presentation of this requiem I have ever heard.
the entire Requiem on organ would be stunning
@@Doug19752533 There is an organ in the score, but it has a very minor role. I've seen the requiem live in concert and the organ was barely audible. The organist had little to do to begin with, only playing short passages and accents here and there.
But yeah, I would listen to the entire thing on organ. I wish there was a full transcription.
That's why they call it "The King of Instruments".
I hope you hold a concert in finland in 2024 when one of the worlds largest organs finishes its construction because i would love to hear you play live
I’d fly to Finland for that concert lmao
@@danielbijster6403 Same
yesssss
What’s the name of the new organ they’re building? I can’t find anything on it.
They are being built in the Helsinki Music Hall and the inauguration concert is scheduled for Jan 1st 2024.
The ending brought tears to my eyes, Mozart himself couldn't have paid a better tribute to this piece
I have to apologize for missing most of the spectacular camerawork as I close my eyes to listen to this masterpiece.
The sound of the organ in St. Mary's Basilica in Cracow is simply phenomenal! 🤩🎶
All I can say is this:
*NOOT NOOT INTENSIFIES*
Great video as always!
This song is one of the most moving I know. It seems to have been written with tears. And in Jonathan's hands it gets even better. Thank you very much for the gift. A classic among the classics.👏🙌🎶💐🥰❤️🔥
The Requiem certainly is 'up there' with the heart-breakers.
Deathbed music, for sure.
It was the last thing Mozart wrote before he died.
@@katbryce yeh but only a portion of it. Completed by, some say, Salieri.
@@katbryce Yes. 🥲😞
Goosebumps for all this execution…
Not only is this music breathtaking, but the videography is phenomenal! I love seeing the inside of these beautiful cathedrals!
Possibly one of the most chilling renditions of one of the most chilling classical songs I've ever heard. The pipe organ really is something else!
One of oft-repeated sayings, scorned by many, is that "all Riegers sound the same".
Well, not this one.
What a glorious sound!
Abbiamo cantato in chiesa con il coro questo brano a dir poco emozionante ma ascoltarlo all'organo è maestoso 👏👏👏
Oh, Jonathan ... that is beautiful - and deeply moving, heart-breakingly so.
Scott!!👏👏👏💖💖😘😘
Amazing Mozart music with a fantastic organist !
Mozart/Sussmayr (mainly the latter).
Oh Jonathan, you captured the very soul of this movement! I so wanted to sing along…. But simply listened as the organ sang it to me!
Thank you…..🤗
Food for the soul, indeed. Thank you Jonathan and Tom.
This is absolutely glorious. It works in every possible way. Wow.
I never tire of hearing the Requiem. Thank you for this performance. Bravo!!!
Sensitive...powerful...fantastic! Heard it first with strings and chouir...seartch for an organ version and found yours!!! Spot on!! 🥰🥰🤗🤗🙏🙏
Such a sensitive interpretation and performance. Wonderfully varied and balanced registration. I really like how the basset horn obligato came across!
TRES BEAU MORCEAU D ORGUE MERCI MR JONATHAN SCOTT 👏👏👏👍👍💝
Bravo Jonathan. Stunning piece. Beautifully played. I enjoyed every note. Thank you Tom for the lovely tour around the Basilica. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This is beautiful. If I ever learned organ I would learn this
A powerful performance of this impassioned lament. Moved to tears as your interpretation reveals its poignancy. Thank you so much for sharing. 💐❤🎹🎶
Simply chilling.... thank you. God bless.

Absolutely wonderful!
One of the great things about Scott Brothers videos is the quality of production.
Always well done with superb audio and easy-to-watch camera work.
Absolutely amazing Jonathan!🤗👍👏👏👏👏
A beautiful arrangement and performance. Thanks Jonathan, and Tom.
You simply cannot beat the gravitas and depth of a piece like this played on an organ. Holy smokes.
Extremley beautiful..Jonathan...Thank you!!🤗👍👍
This is a beautiful song, enhanced by your playing.
The entire performance is breathtaking but I would like to add that your registration on this instrument is particularly masterful. You make thumbing down a melody look so easy.
Great !
This is one of my favourite songs, now on the organ
I was just in the mood for this piece of music and ended up here on scottbrothersduo channel
again 👍👂👂
This is so beautiful, magnificent rendition of a masterpiece. Thanks Jonathan and Tom
Wonderful to listen to thanks.
Very spectacular. Amazed with the finger placements and movements
This is soul lifting.
Kudos to you.
A fantastic arrangement of a masterpiece! Beautiful 🤩
Que belleza de sonido transmite el órgano
Amazing performance as usual, and wonderful organ, this video is a work of art, thank you 🙏
Exquisitely beautiful
Magnificent !! thank you in such a pretty cathedral.
Massive and sad. Love it.
Magnificent! Extraordinary!
Bellisima obra, bellísima interpretación. Gracias maestros Scott Brothers. Desde México Juve Flores
God bless You~~🙏🙏🙏
I was JUST listening to versions of this recently only for you to cover it. WOW.
Fantastic arrangement! The sounds matched perfectly. I can listen on repeat :)
Remarcable performance indeed, you are doing a great job guys, never stop believe in, l am the biggest supporter of yours Ok?
magnificent!
Hello Jonathan, I remember this piece in the movie, "Amadeus". Your performance of this great piece is outstanding! Be well, Will Ortiz
Your orchestral arrangements have always captivated me, Jonathan. But this Requiem movement moved me so much I repeated this particular video 12 times in a row and still couldn't get enough of it (I played this performance so loud on my audio system, I even discovered a rattle from my subwoofer caused by the lowest pedal note...thanks to you and to Tom's excellent audio/video recording, I leveled the sub's spiked feet and eliminated the vibration)! Have you ever considered arranging Mozart's Requiem in its entirety and having Tom record your performance for an upcoming concert?😉👍If you and your brother ever consider touring in the United States (Florida in particular) for a Scott Brothers Duo piano and organ recital series, I'll definitely be there!
Kindred spirit here. 🤣 I suspect I will listen to this 20+ times before today's end. Truly an inspiring interpretation and performance. Now the difficult part...learning to play it. 🤦♀️😄🎹🎶
This Song (Lacrimosa) was written in part in 1792 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart on his death bed. But was finished after his death by a student of his, as Mozart's wife desired.
The words to this song in English are:
"Mournful that day
When from the dust shall rise
Guilty man to be judged
Therefore spare him O God
Merciful Jesu(s)
Lord Grant them rest! Amen!"
@@sanctusstreams101 Thank you for the words. Much appreciated !
@@sanctusstreams101 I thought he passed away on December 5, 1791. I remember that date because I closed on my current home 200 years later on that date.
@@sanctusstreams101 He died before he was done with it, and so his wife convinced one of his students to finish it. He clearly did a brilliant job.
That looks so fun I wanna play that
Stunning performance of a stunning piece. Thank you.
Amazing played🍃thank you
Absolutely beautiful!
Magnífico 👏
Imponente ¡!¡! Gracias.
Thank You. Very inspiring.
Sensacional!!
Amazing arrangement it sounds amazing
A masterpiece composition that trascends time, interpreted by a masterpiece arrangement and organist transcending time. Thank you. The balance between the high notes and the organ bass is beyond this world.
Hallo!
Magnificent Mozart!!!
Wonderful performance
Thank you Brothers
With Love from the Netherlands
It's really wonderful...
Soooo wonderful🥰🥰🙏🙏
Fantastic sound!
I have known this 'unspeakably moving' piece for over thirty years - however, we all know the various questions and 'controversies' which surround it's final completion! To me, though, this wonderful organ transcription of the Lacrimosa (per se) makes them pale into insignificance! Very well done Jonathan (and Tom) - as always!
Sorry, missed out the 'in' before significance!
amazing!
Thank you! 💓
beautiful, and that Basilica is just perfect
It's so lovely to hear this song not in meme format. Well done!
Immense!
Thank you both for uploading this piece from your wonderful concert. I had never heard it before, but it is so poignant & beautifully played. I love the fact that your RUclips content provides me with such an excellent education!!
I keep coming back to this wonderful video, it is such a beautiful arrangement. Thank you for uploading it.
Sublime.
Aaah!!!! Thank you Jonathan!! I just discovererd this piece....and i cuickly searcht if you have played it at the queen...and...HERE it is!!! 🤗🤗🤗Thank you!!!!🥰🥰
Grazie, Maestro.
Its just the bass that gets me!
A Requiem, always catches my attention, and this one is especially moving. Thank you.
Jonathan, I love you to play Lacromosa. I sang it when I was in Chorus Niagara. You play it beautiful ❤️
Sublime...
An massive power sound
Que paixão 😍. Eu toco um pouco de órgão. Mas o melhor é ouvir alguém tocar.
Well. That was quite nice.
Now I know which song I want to be played in my funeral. Thank you.
La mejor interpretación a órgano de la más emocionante canción jamás oída
Thanks so much for uploading this separately to the whole concert. Please do the same for the Bach Passacaglia & Fugue!
Looking forward to seeing you both at Hereford on Monday.
BRAVO!!!
Grane w moim ukochanym rodzinnym Krakowie w kosciele Mariackim !
I was many times there but never had a chance to hear them.
Omg! 😮 🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️
Spettacolare
Bach; just prepare, and then play… 😉 Xllent work, Mr. Scott
I hope one time you visit Görlitz (Germany) to play the organ "Sonnenorgel" which has some stops no other organ has
Jaw > Floor - What an arrangement, and Basilica.
Beautiful.
The Lacrimosa and Confutatis are my favorite parts, and this one works perfectly on the Organ. In fact, i think i like this better than an orchestra.
About our world, kyrie Eleison........
The man wrote his own funeral music 😢 what an amazing life someone should make it into a movie.
