The level of expertise required to play such a magnificent piece of music and a phenomenal instrument cannot be understated.
I saw a dude do it in Russia, he looked just like Tom Green
Overstated?
It can be understated - as someone who has played keys since age 4.4. Why the organ console access is regularly denied in the United States but freely granted in Germany, England, Netherlands. Mystery
It is fun to watch any professional at work. And, also hear this time :)
He is very very good he is very fast and short with his keys, but some are held down to short of a time
This is one of those pieces where it's impossible to listen without a smile slowly curling your lips.
Thank you for that.
Exactly!
WOH ! DA SIEHT MAN - DER HAT ALLERHAND ZU TUN!
A, czemu Radecki?
Ktoś mi podpowie, dlaczego
Most definitely !!!
At the moment I read your comment I started to have that little smile on my face, before I even read what you wrote! Amazing interpretation.
Aww, this what it should sound like, no showing off in speed but showing off in musicality and feeling . Please give us more, we like it a lot.
You have to watch this, not just listen. So uplifting.
Die Königin aller Instrumente. Was ein ganzes Orchester schafft, schafft sie.
... sie alleine
Word!
Wow
People, please think about what it means to coordinate arms and legs in a range of milliseconds..... Greatest artwork, noone could make it better; stunning performance.
I get goose bumps, don't know why. But he is playing really artistical.
What a great way to march into 2021.
Thank you Jonathan.
Perfect. I would never have thought of playing the Radetzky on an organ.
It's like a whole opera played by a single artist and instrument. Awesome.
Marvelous! This sounds fantastic on the organ.
The right music to march into 2021 with a great hope of better times! Happy new year, everyone!
One can only imagine how it must have sounded inside that space.
Ir seems one complete orchestra playing. Wonderful
Ever since the first time I heard this piece it has been stuck in my head. I find myself whistling it all the time. I love this performance!
One of the best versions of the march I've ever heard. And I've heard a lot of them - Amazingly done
much MUCH more exciting on the organ than orchestra, shucks, Mr Scott's rendition IS the orchestra and then some.
This is what it takes to bring more people to the church, doing something different, like playing stuff people already know, but in a new way, on a new instrument.
Wow! Now THAT would be a great recital to see and hear in person!
Really ?
You're adding to the the temptation to do so but I'm not convinced.
Is there anyone who can listen to this without smiling? Wonderful and amazing.
I could play a piano when I was a child, and I would love to play one of them church organs!
@@thevikingwarrior go for it ☺
The man can play! Enough said.
With all 4 limbs
@Oliver Viehland I dont think he would let you watch that.
@Oliver Viehland I didnt think you did, Oliver, but I couldnt help myself.
Its all in the mind!!
It was great to hear the Radetzky March played by the Wiener Philharmoniker today at the end of their New Year’s Day concert and it’s equally wonderful to have Jonathan’s fantastic arrangement. Thank you.
you also hear that concert. it is so good
Seeing the empty hall is strange but, it will remind us of these days forever. Great music.
I switched to this video, because I thought that an organ cannot make justice to this masterpiece. I honestly admit I was wrong.
Totally agree 😊👍
С П А С И Б О

Fabulous start to 2021!
There is a reason the organ is called a king of instruments.
True
You mean to say: queen?
@ლაზარე ოძელაშვილი
Apparently Mozart.
@@joopknoflook
Princess.
It is a full orchestra in one single instrument.
Cant get over how well these guys are at playing. Absolutely love the stuff.
These guys? There is one organist. Only one.
This was not in my plans for my RUclips Friday night music, but here I am. And I'm not even upset. Thank you to the recommendations algorithm. 😁🎧
Congratulations. Respect. Thank You.
This is like I don’t know to describe its like childhood amazement
Always amazed at the skill and co-ordination of musicians playing these instruments.
Excellent organist, beautiful performance
Beautiful, just beautiful!
Das ist einfach nur traumhaft. Wunderschön
Happy New Year to Jonathan and Tom. Wishing you both Peace, Heath and Prosperity.
Superb performance, one of my favourite marches-and I guess many others.
Thank you Jonathan. This is such a beautiful musical piece. Composed by another great composer. From South Africa
Thoroughly delightful
I was hooked at the first note!
This is awesome.
Just watching the footwork is incredible.
Just had this recommended to me 3 years after the fact! Reading the comments, I had forgotten I had only heard this played by an orchestra! Just as wonderful on the organ! Only thing missing was the audience clapping along! No audience here, though! I am assuming this was recorded during the pandemic.
Recorded in practice before a lunchtime concert. Jonathan and Tom almost always record without an audience - gets rid of coughs, mobile phones etc
Beautiful
Amazing. Jonathan-organ virtuoso.
Great interpretation, beautiful Music, that’s all we need in these
Troubled times , thanks 🙏!
Música Divina Música Engenho Talento e Arte AMAZING This is simply an incredible show! and that smile at the end says it all! I listen to it many times! This piece is completely different on the organ than on the piano! Thank You!!! AMAZING This is simply an incredible show! AMAZING
amazing!!! I love how he is playing the best classical pieces!!
Wow well played sir. More of this sort of music to lift the depressing time we are living with at this moment in time. What’s next. Also what a great organ. Many thanks.

I must look what's on at the Bridgewater Hall again. It's a few years since I was there last.
Amazing!!!!
I HAD to listen to this with the max volume, it's so powerful
I can’t stop watching this. It’s so well , I wish I could’ve been there when he played the song.

Couldn't help myself--clapped rhythmically throughout...
Excellent, couldn't get better than this. The Great Masterpiece wonderfully played on the organ, awesome indeed.
Happy New Year to you Jonathan and Tom. All the best for a wonderful 2021 and more of your wonderful concerts.
Why not? Every year as an encore the New Year's Concert from Vienna today played on organ. Thank you and happy New Year!
Then also " the blue danube...."
Great idea, Renata.
I couldn't keep my leg still while you played. What fun! Bellmore, NY USA
Magnifique qu'un seul homme fait lorchestre. Et on ressent le galop et l'entrée triomphante du Marchal autrichien d'origine polonaise
Beautifull

Thanks, Jonathan! Wonderful selection, and what a magnificent instrument to showcase it. And thanks, Tom, for your skill and dedication. Here's to a good new year!
Really cheerful rendition - lifted my spirits all right. Thanks.
Meanwhile people are complaining that they cant handle manual transmission...
Flying a helicopter doesn't feel so difficult after this
😂
Only three pedals as opposed to 32.
Some people complain about anything , even things they have no influence over, like the weather.
@@luisramirez-cortez6925 Flying literally anything doesn't feel so difficult after organ :D
A car with a manual transmission has a built in anti-theft device. A manual transmission. OOORRRR Mr. Jones we know you stole the Volkswagen Beetle because you are the only person within 15 blocks that can drive a manual transmission. Curses, foiled by my mechanical talent.
Superb registration!
That's a fantastically impressive performance. Thank you so much for that!
This super organ is fantastic big instrument !
One of my favourite pieces of music, of many
