Hey Cory, great video! I have the same kayak and was wondering how the weight in front affects moving thru rough water? I only carry a light tackle box up front and I still get water over the front in wind/waves or boat wakes. Has the motor made a noticeable difference for you?
It does make a slight difference, but it weighs practically nothing, the 12t doesn’t do very good with waves anyways but the motor being mounted up front helps block the water splashing over.
I bought the ascend 12T while I was stationed in El Paso Tx, but Alaska has mainly lost creek, old town, and perception kayaks, there’s many more but that’s a few I know off the top of my head

Cool surrounding! What kayak brands are available in Alaska? I assume your choice in Ascent was Cabalas and Bass Pro Shop.
