    What solar panel did you go with? I'm thinking of throwing one on mine as well. How has it worked with keeping the battery topped off?

    After some time with your Xi3, what are your thoughts on it? Has is held up to your expectations or has some time and experience with it over time proved otherwise? I'm thinking of getting an Xi3 for my own Ascend 12T, but have seen mixed reviews in regards to the remote not working as advertised. Additionally, have you used the Xi3 in any type of salt water? I plan to be able to fish in both fresh water and brackish water. They have a saltwater version of the Xi3, but figured I'd see how the freshwater holds up before spending the extra cash on the saltwater version. Thanks!

      Honestly I haven’t had any issues with it whatsoever. I haven’t had the chance to bring it to salt water but I’m sure it’ll be just fine.

      @@inthemeat4841 hey man, getting ready to install my Xi3 on my Ascend 12T. When mounting the lower plate of the quick mount, how did you position it over the indent for the front handle? I removed the handle itself but it looks like two of the bolts will partially go through the curved surface of the indent. Any tips or tricks?

    • @inthemeat4841
      @inthemeat4841  4 месяца назад

      @jakefedorczyk5674 yeah I was worried about that too, make sure you back the plate up as far as it’ll go, but also have the motor on the mount to make sure it fully engages and locks when you put it down. Once you find the sweet spot don’t let the plate move, mark the holes and drill it

    Getting a 12t been trying to find this setup but salt water. Can it work on the back?

    • @inthemeat4841
      @inthemeat4841  7 месяцев назад +1

      There’s not much room on the back for the motor guide mount, it’s possible but harder, also it would be harder to deploy the motor.

    If you see a log and you are too late are you worried it will break?

    • @inthemeat4841
      @inthemeat4841  Год назад

      Yes and no, the motor doesn’t sit very far below the kayak, and the motor has some give to bounce back. But obviously if I hit a log with it I might freak out a little, but I usually watch where I’m going before I go putting around thick cover, and I don’t go full speed through it, I take it easy unless I’m on open water.
